Message: There Is No Light In Them

Hello My Friend,

As you read the chapters of God’s dealing with Israel, from Exodus to the Gospels, it is astounding to realize just how much He pleads with them to turn to Him. God will always have a special place in His heart for the children of Israel because of His covenants with Abraham, Jacob, and David, but their souls are no more special than the rest of us, God pleads the same to all of His creation. Why? Hell. The reason God created hell in the first place was for Satan and his minions, He never wanted any soul to be in hell because it is truly something horrific, but He is a just God, and therefore, there is a price for sin. And this is why until their dying breath He will plead with every soul to be redeemed, but sadly only those whom have turned to Christ will be redeemed. “Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words. Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless: For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.” – Proverbs 23:9-11.

he shall plead their cause with thee.” The fool says in their heart that there is no God, and will do everything they can to remove all the landmarks that prove that God exists. And yet, Christ pleaded for them too. People who are New Testament readers only are oblivious to the fact that the same information given in the New Testament is the same as in the Old Testament. No, it is not an error that I have chapter 8 listed again, I realized as I started reading the chapters for today that I needed to make this chapter a part of this block of Scripture. Why? This entire chapter pleads with Israel to turn to Christ, also known as the LORD of hosts.

Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” – Isaiah 8:13-20.

Seek unto them that have familiar spirits,You see, the world is so dark that they really are seeking the light, the problem is they are finding dark the spirits that are appealing to their flesh, and therefore, they do not have the Light in them. There is no reason that God fearing, saved, born again Christians, do not have the same rights as everyone else to preach the Gospel, we do have more challenges because Satan is going to try to stop us at every level, but it can be done. How? Because we have seen the Light, and now He is in us.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together; The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” – Isaiah 9:2,5-7,11-13,17.

but his hand is stretched out still.Just think about that, as wicked as we can be, and yes, we all have some wicked in us, He hand is stretched out still, pleading with us to come to the Light. The forces of this world are not something that we can take lightly or handle on our own, it is not family, neighbors, or even our enemies that we contend with, it is Satan, and he will use anyone to keep us from seeing the Light, even those who are saved. You know, the world laughs at us now, they taunt us with their arrogant chants of pride, but Jesus will have the last laugh. They too will see who Jesus, and it will not be pretty, we who are saved will be glad we are up in the clouds. While God is angry at His people, His hand is stretched out still, but He will have no mercy on the lost.

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.” – Isaiah 10:1-4,11-13,20.

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners,Without Christ we are prisoners, without Christ we will die in our sins. There is no freedom in following false religion, nor is there freedom in forsaking God. God is all for rules and discipline, but when those rules cause His people to die in their sin, they will die in theirs. God has given the task of Judge to Jesus Christ Himself, the amazing thing is that while Christ is the Son of God, He is also the Son of man, meaning as being conceived of the Holy Spirit, who is God, through the seed of David, who is man. Only those who hear His voice will live when He returns to judge the world. Now, through Isaiah God foretells the coming of the Messiah, this time revealing that He alone who would judge all mankind.

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” – Isaiah 11:1-4,10-12.

that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people,” This is speaking of Christ’s return. And I am tearing up as I type this because this is the first day a message has become so clear to me that the words just poured out of my thoughts in a couple of months. What a day it will be when my Jesus I shall see, and I look up His face, the one who saved me by His grace. Of all the people in the world, only remnant of His people will be saved, both Jews and Gentiles. When you think about the quadrillions of people that God has created since He created the earth that number will be small, and that is quite sad. Nevertheless, when Jesus does return, just what an amazing day that will be. We can rejoice as we have taken hold of His stretched out hand, and join Isaiah in praising the LORD for our salvation. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.” – Isaiah 12:2-6.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.” – Isaiah 11:10.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, It still amazes me that You went through so much pain to save me by my simple faith and trust in Your finished work. When I think of the years I was caught up in the darkness of false religion and where I would be if I died before I knew the truth I cringe. Lord, work in the heart of every unsaved soul walking in darkness, and help them see Your Light. Give me Your power, wisdom, and light to shine Your light upon them, use me to be a witness and a testimony, and keep me learning, growing, and speaking Your truths. In Your name Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
