Message: Perfect By One Offering
Hello My Friend,
First of all, I need to make a correction from yesterday’s message, I said we are in the millennial dispensation, but that is not correct, I meant to say the church dispensation, which is the age of grace, the millennial dispensation will be the age of final judgment (Armageddon to the end of the world). With that said, there is no information given to us in the age of grace that was not given to those in age of the Law, those who have this notion that no Jew or believer was saved prior to the Gospel of Christ have the wrong information, because salvation has always been granted to the true believers through their faith, not necessarily their works. “For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” – Hebrews 10:1-4,14.
“For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” How cool is that! One offering, our Lord Jesus Christ, is all we need to be perfect before God and forever sanctified, by the mercies and grace of God, we who are saved can never lose our salvation no matter what we do. The instant we leave earth we will immediately join Jesus in heaven to await the glorious day of His return to earth and then get our new, glorified bodies, to join Him in His Kingdom. Twenty-five years after most of the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem were carried into Babylon, God gave Ezekiel visions about a new temple that would replace the broken down temple destroyed by the sins of man. This was no ordinary temple, this would be the temple in the glorious New Jerusalem in which Jesus Christ would reign. Jesus Himself gave the measurements of the entire temple.
“And there was a gate in the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south an hundred cubits. And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate: and he measured the south gate according to these measures; And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad. Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew their sacrifices. And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice. And within were hooks, an hand broad, fastened round about: and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering.” – Ezekiel 40:27-29,41-43.
“whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice.” This here is a reminder that the tables and instruments used prior to Christ being the ultimate sacrifice were all done away with by His sacrifice, we only have to ask Him once to save us. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” – Hebrews 9:27,28.
You do not have to see Christ physically to know that His presence is right there with you, especially when He gets you through the most trying of circumstances. Next were the two inner courts, where he saw something interesting, cherubs, each with two faces.
“So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long; Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits. And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court; And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces; So that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.” – Ezekiel 41:13-15,18,19.
“and every cherub had two faces;” This is the same image Ezekiel saw when God spoke to him twenty-five years ago. The cherub itself represents the Gospel of Christ, the two faces, one of a man, represents man that is redeemed by the blood of Christ, the other, the face of a lion, represents Christ Himself, He is the strength of every saved soul, which allows them to preach the Gospel boldly, yet in a way that is humane. While we are all given gifts from God to be used to further His Kingdom, all who are saved are called to tell the world about Jesus while we are here. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:18-20.
After the man showed Ezekiel the two inner courts He took him inside the temple, where the most Holy place would be, this would be where God’s presence would dwell and you will be able to see it.
“Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.” – Ezekiel 42:13,14.
“there shall they lay the most holy things,” The meat (bread), sin, and trespass offering, these are a picture of Christ, who is the most holy thing and has replaced the need for the bread, sin, and trespass offerings. Jesus is the bread of life, He sustains and keeps us safe in this world, He is also the blood that gives us life and sustains our soul for the new world. Since we are of Christ that means we are to be separate from the world. We cannot avoid being in the world, but we can avoid being of the world. Our salvation is the only thing that lets us stand before God holy. Until Jesus returns or God takes us home, we are His temple, therefore we are to live in a way that is pleasing to Him, and not defile His dwelling place. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” – I Corinthians 3:16-19.
Jesus Christ Magnified: “And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.” – Ezekiel 40:3.
Today’s Prayer: God, How glorious it is to enjoy freedom from sin, thanks to the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, on my behalf. My life, once enslaved to sin, now enjoys the freedom from what held me captive to Satan’s bondage. Let me keep serving You with love and thanksgiving, looking forward to that blessed day when I get to live with You in heaven and later in new Jerusalem. I love You Lord and pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
