Message: Jesus Loves Me

Hello My Friend,

I am in a relationship that I swear is one sided, I give my love and devotion, but rarely get any in return, sometimes he just shuts me out completely and does not talk to me for days. Oh, I want to give up on him, I want God to tell me to let him go, but I have tried that before and found that when you love someone you cannot just let them go, even when they try to push you away. Does this sound familiar? This is what Jesus goes through all day long as His beloved shut Him out, I am talking about saved, born again Christians that have walked away from Him or even worse, walking with Him, and are living sinful lives. Every time a Christian chooses the worlds ways over Christ’s they crucify Him all over again. How? You belong to Him, you cannot be saved and live in sin, it always affects you more than if you never knew Christ at all. “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” – Hebrews 6:4-6.

and put him to an open shame.” We are not prefect, we sin every day, but there is a difference between natural sin and walking in sin, walking in sin always brings judgment to the Christian first because they know who Christ is, they just choose the sin over Him. God never places judgment upon anyone, especially His own without giving them ample warning of the consequences they will face first. If God placed judgment upon all mankind simply for eating a piece of fruit, He will certainly do it for something much more sinful. We are all accountable for our actions, and had ample warnings before we did commit the sin. Through Jeremiah, God explains this further, along with one last plea to repent before the judgment took place.

If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove. And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities. Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?” – Jeremiah 4:1-6,14.

because of the evil of your doings.Needless suffering, that is the result of what happens when we do not heed the warnings of repentance. Do not think that we are not given ample warning of something that is going to happen to us at the result of a sinful act. Nevertheless, God always gives us a way out, He never stops pleading with us to turn away from committing the sin, even until the very second. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” – I Corinthians 10:13.

Let me tell you, God does not want to bring judgment upon any nation, if He can find one soul that loves Him in it than He will spare it. Look and Sodom and Gomorrah, He waited until the very last saved soul was out of it before He destroyed it. I truly believe that had Israel repented the very last second that God would have spared the nation from judgment, but no matter how many warnings they got they rejected Him. And while God did not change His mind of the judgment He placed upon Judah, He did say He would not destroy it completely.

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses. They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD’S. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD. They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine: And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them. Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them. Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.” – Jeremiah 5:7-14,18.

They have belied the LORD,There are many Christians that believe as long as they are saved they can live as they please and no judgment will come to them, but this is false. Salvation is not a free ticket to live in sin, consequences will come, we may not face eternal judgment, but we get judged before we get to heaven. “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” – Luke 21:34-36.

Let me tell you, when you give your all to someone with nothing in return it is heartbreaking. Imagine how Jesus feels when He gives His all only to be ignored and even forsaken? Now, we all sin, and we re not exempt from the devils temptations, if he tempted Jesus he will certainly tempt Jesus’ saved. I always say that while Jesus will let us fall completely, He will let us dangle on the edge if we choose to live in sin until we repent. A life with Jesus is a changed life, one that shows we are not of the world, but are of Him. We are not to be like the world, if we are than we are falsely representing Christ, and there will be judgment for that. Through Jeremiah, God expresses His anger toward the saved who live sinful lives, and are not ashamed of it.

Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets. To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it. To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.” – Jeremiah 6:8-11,19-20.

your burnt offerings are not acceptable,” There are so many people proclaiming Christ, yet living extravagant, wicked, and immoral lives, and do not even see that what they are doing is wrong. They give their tithes and offerings, and appear to be Godly in church, but God knows the truth, and He does not accept their offerings. Why do I hold on to a one sided relationship? Because I know he loves me, I know he does not want me to give up on him, and I know he will come to me after he has come to terms with his guilt. Jesus is always there for us, even when we are not always reaching out to Him, but He never lets go because He knows those who love Him. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” – John 10:27-28.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.” – Jeremiah 4:2.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for reminding me once again of just how much You love me and how blessed I am to be one of Your children. For the life of me I do not understand why you are so willing when sometimes I am not, at times, I know I let the cares of life alter my thinking, I begin to doubt Your presence and even that things will ever get better. Then You show up and remind me that You are still here, and everything is in Your control. Lord, renew my thinking, give me a new way of seeing the blessings I have and what You have waiting for me as I endure my troubles with You guiding me. Help me to never forget that You are always with me and will help me get through every burden that I have. Teach me to love like You love, unconditionally, and never give up on the ones I love, even when they do not love me back. I love You Lord and ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
