Message: That Your Joy May Be Full

Hello My Friend,

Joy; To rejoice; to be glad; to exult. I do not care how strong your faith, every one of us lose joy in our salvation once in a while. Circumstances certainly rob us of our joy, and the longer you face the more our joy fades in the distance. When joy has diminished we start questioning their faith, some even doubting their salvation. Well, let me tell you, it is the devil that puts doubt in our head, and he does it to the most faithful servants of God. Why? If he can get you to doubt your salvation then he can stop you from shining the light of Jesus onto other lost souls. And here is the proof, once we ask Jesus to save us we are saved, we belong to Jesus, and that is that. Anytime that question pops in your head, just remember, it is the devil, and your faith is greater than the strongest force the devil has. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” – I John 4:1-4.

many false prophets are gone out into the world.False prophets do more than just lie about God’s truths, they rob us of our joy, and not only in our salvation, but our faith as well. The Book of I John was written in 90AD, by John (the same John who wrote John, and Revelation) to Christians who were falling into satanic deception which was breaking their fellowship with God, and other believers. The purpose of the letter was to remind believers how they have eternal life, and that true fellowship with Christ is evidence that He lives in us.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” – I John 1:1-4,8-10.

If we say that we have no sin,” First of all, we must understand that these verses are not written to the lost, but to those who are saved already, who were questioning their faith. Second, what we are reading though these next chapters may seem like a contradiction, but we must always read the Bible with the full assurance of the Gospel in mind. Now, with that in mind, sin often robs us of our joy, and it does not have to be physicals acts that we sin, things like anger, unforgiveness, fear, depression, jealousy, and not letting go of our past are sin also. Are we perfect? Are we sinless? We are perfect in Christ, but that does not mean we never sin, but if we do, we have Christ in us who stands between us and God, and we can stand before Him as righteous because God looks at us through His Son not our sin. Praise God! John confirms this.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” – I John 2:1-3,15,24-27.

And he is the propitiation for our sins:Propitiation; The act of appeasing wrath and conciliating the favor of an offended person. The atoning sacrifice offered to God to appease His wrath, and reconcile with the offender. Jesus offered His sinless, spotless, unblemished body to His Father in order to remove His wrath toward us, and reconcile with God. When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, this brought on an enmity with God, in other words, they became enemies, and that was passed down to all of us. We are enemies with God because we are sinners, and unless we repent, meaning turn our minds away from trying to get saved on our own, and accept the sacrifice that Jesus offered to God in our place. So, what are God’s commands that we must keep, and if we do not then He is not with us? John has the answer for that.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” – I John 3:4-9,23-24.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:” We have to think about this on the level of our flesh, if we commit one sin under the Law of Moses, we are guilty of breaking each and every command. However, Jesus, who knew no sin gave His life to save us from our sins. “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:This does not mean we never commit sin again after we are saved, but it does mean that we will not lose our salvation I we do. We are not sinless, and we do still sin, but if we remain living a sinful life after we are saved then we are succumbing to the devil, and not allowing Christ to live in us after our salvation. “And this is his commandment,” What is the commandment? “That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ,” If you do not believe and accept Him as your Saviour than you wasting your time, God will not hear you or acknowledge you as one of His. John goes on to remind us of that.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” – I John 5:3-7,10-11.

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:” We have the proof right inside of us, the Holy Spirit, which is why the second you doubt yourself, He is right there to remind you of your joy. Again, the devil robs us of our joy of our salvation, and anything else from Jesus that brings us joy. The Book of II John was written by John in 90AD also, to the lady elect. John cautions believers to be faithful to the sound doctrine of Christ and warns them against apostasy. What we are to learn from the letter is that we are not to fellowship with those who place doubt in our minds and rob us of the sound doctrine of the Gospel.

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” – II John 1:5-8.

that we lose not those things which we have wrought,” Do not let go of what you have been taught. We are saved by grace through our faith the second we believe in the immaculate birth, sinless death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and receive Him as our Saviour. That should bring great joy to us, and if we are doing something or listening to someone who is making us doubt that then we need to repent of that. The Book of III John was written to a man named Gaius, also in 90 AD. The purpose of the letter was to commend Gaius for his faith and hard work, but also stop some people who were causing trouble in the church. What we are to learn from the book is that God wants His children to walk in His truths. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.” – III John 1:2-4,11.

even as thy soul prospereth.” Our soul is saved, meaning it is sinless and righteous before God, our flesh on the other hand is not, and if we want that to prosper it is important that we life a Godly life. All the books in the Bible are inspired, meaning they were told by the Holy Spirit what to write, many times you can see that it is not the writer speaking, but God Himself, which is the case in this chapter. God finds great joy in seeing His children walking and living not only by faith, but obedience to Him. Our obedience is not to keep our salvation it is a means to show the truth of Christ to a lost and dying world, if we walk in the truth, He will shine through us. “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.” – Proverbs 21:2-3.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.” – I John 3:23.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, The sacrifice You made for us is still something true believers cannot comprehend, to give Your life for us and even want fellowship with us after all we have done is amazing. And yet we live by faith, trusting in Your Word that tells us we can stand before the Father sinless. Thank You for becoming sin that we might be removed of ours through our belief. There is no doubt or question, and our joy can be filled as we endure every pain and sorrow with You by our side. Plus we get to kick the devil to the curb as he cannot take our soul with him as it belongs to You. Praise God! In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
