Message: Never Be Moved

Hello My Friend,

Every once in a while a thought will pop in my head, “Is all this stuff in the Bible about God really true?” And then I stop to think about this ridiculous theory that everything just evolved from one organism, and it all comes clear. Life and everything in existence is too complex to ever believe that there was no creator of it all. You know, there are scientist trying to recreate life themselves? They already clone animals, and are days away from doing it to people. Just remember, the magicians thought they could play God, but soon found out that God’s hand is in everything. And also, everything that is made by man is made from the things that God has made, and let me tell you, man always finds a way to mess it up. Ninety percent of the medications in this world that are given to people to help with one problem create other problems. Science can do amazing things, but sadly, is often used to discredit God rather than glorify Him, and they too will face Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” – John 1:1-5.

and the darkness comprehended it not.” Those who live in the dark, those who refuse to see Jesus for who He is, are blind to the truth, they have said in their heart, there is no God, and will do everything possible to prove it. Sooner or later, all will come to the knowledge of Christ, and by that time it will be too late for them. It has never been more dangerous to be a born again Christian since the days of the Apostles, and the world will not tell you of all the Christians that are being killed for their faith, and refusal to denounce Christ. Nevertheless, we who trust in the Saviour need not fear our enemy, and there will be many, even family, because we have Jesus. When David was being overrun by his own son, he said this prayer.

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.” – Psalm 3.

There is no help for him in God.The world, and quite frankly many Christians, will cast you off in a heartbeat, they will turn their backs on you, and even attack you if they found out your past. Thankfully, we have a merciful and forgiving God who does not cast us off, and in fact, uses our infirmities to His advantage by making good out of the situation as long as we come to Him. We who trust in the LORD, Jesus Christ as our Saviour, are sustained by our faith alone, and even though we may have enemies, we will prevail.

O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.” – Psalm 4:2-7.

commune with your own heart upon your bed,And this is where Jesus would tell someone to remove the beam in their own eye before they point out the speck in someone else. We are all sinners, we are all guilty of something, and those who think they are not will find out the hard way that they are. God does not love us because we are perfect, He loves us because He created us, and He loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son that all who believe in and receive Him will be pardoned for their sins. Amen! And let me tell you, the longer you walk with Christ the more of a sinner you realize you are, and just what Jesus saves you from.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.” – Psalm 13:1-6.

my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.” We are not defeated, we are not cast out, we are not left for dead, we are victorious, we are forgiven, and never forsaken, we are alive through Jesus Christ. Rejoice in that! We may have to face some chastening for unrepentant sin or simply being faithful to God, but we can rejoice in knowing that all of it will come to an end, and we will never have to see pain or sorrow or even death ever again. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” – Revelation 21:4.

for the former things are passed away.” Once you trust in the LORD, Jesus Christ as your Saviour you are forgiven, all the former things you did in your life are passed away, never to be brought up again. It is man who seems to never let it go, and will haunt you until the day you leave the earth. And if we are not continuously walking with Him we too can fall into the trap of our past. I will tell you that I got caught up in this myself a time or two, convinced that what I was going through was the result of my past, and just need to suck it up. Let me tell you, only unrepentant sin comes back to haunt you until you deal with it, and once you do, you will have peace, not only with God, yourself as well. It is not easy to cry out to God, especially when we know we are the cause of something, once we take that step He can turn things around for us.

A Psalm of David. Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.” – Psalm 28:1-3,6-9.

and he is the saving strength of his anointed.God’s anointed are those who received Christ as their Saviour, and He will save each and every one of us, regardless of our past, and even future. And what about those who were here before Christ came in the flesh? Jesus has always been, they needed Him as well, and they too were only saved through their faith. “For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” – Romans 4:2-5.

but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,” Our works have never saved, and those who believe that they are good enough to get to heaven on their own have a harsh awaking when they see Jesus. For those who live by faith, we have Jesus, and He will always, always, always, take care of His own.

Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets. For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God. He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant. The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords. Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.” – Psalm 55:11-14,19-23.

he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” I will always say, and stand by the belief that once you are saved, while God will let you dangle at the edge of sin, He will never let you fall so deep that you forget who He is. And there are those who have dangled so long that their lives are worse than before they were saved, which is why you cannot taste salvation and live in the sins of the world, Jesus will either sustain you to repentance or take you home where you will not longer hurt yourself. “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” – Jude 1:24-25.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.” – Psalm 3:8.

Today’s Prayer: God, I will not even begin to understand Your reasoning, it is much to complex for my mind, I do understand that You love me, want the best for me, and use my suffering to make me more like Your Son. Lord, You are my comfort, my peace, my joy, and my strength, but much too often I let my affliction blind me from seeing that I am a sinner saved by grace, that You love me, and that all things work together for God when we love You. You have forgiven me, and are not punishing me, but bringing me to the reality that You love me unconditionally and are there to help me always. Give me Your power to endure all affliction, judge me according to my integrity and not my doubt because I truly believe that You will never move nor will You forsake me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
