Message: In The Will Of God

Hello My Friend,

BlessingsFor the past three days my sleep has been less that five hours, and let me tell you, the longer you go without proper sleep the crazier you mind gets. I find myself getting anxious, I cannot sit still, and I have a million things going through my head, yet the whole day passes and nothing got accomplished. Or that was what my mind was telling me, what really happened was, I encouraged someone, helped my mom, watched my nephews, wrote a Bible tract (someone asked for one I made for kids and I lost my template), cleaned the house, and even managed to get up and write a devotion, read the chapters for today, and talked to God. Here is what I come to realize, when we are in the will of God, it is not the pretty little schedule we plan out that we follow, it is God’s, and it is not always pretty, but in the end, it will be. “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” – Philippians 2:13-15.

among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” Can you imagine being a light that shines in the world? I cannot, but praise God that He sees something more in us than we see in ourselves. The amazing thing is, when we are faithful to God we shine in the world, even in the midst of our most trying times. David wrote this Psalm after Absalom, his son had tried to take the kingdom from him and got things back in order. A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication. What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.” – Psalms 30:1,7-12.

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing:” How amazing is God that He can turn the most trying times into great joy. When we are not in the will of God that is when we mess up, we can make some bad decisions that caused the pain, but God is faithful to help us when we turn to Him. Even when we are in His will we may not always see God, but we can know His presence is with us. David recalls God’s goodness, when he did not see Him. “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city. For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” – Psalms 31:19-24.

For I said in my haste,” We are quick to wonder where God is when things happen, but when we stop to think about things we realize God never left us, and He hears everything we say. I caught myself having an anxiety attack over a client that I am meeting with on Monday. I realized something, I have been sabotaging myself for far too long, I have this attitude that nothing good ever happens for me, that something always goes wrong, and let me tell you, if you keep thinking that stuff, you start believing it. God reminded me that I reap what I sow, so if I am sowing negativity I am going to reap bad things. Things happen that we cannot explain, sometimes they are fixable, other time are not, we cannot dwell on what happened, we have to move forward, with the attitude that we are loved and accepted by the one who matters most, God. “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” – I John 3:20-22.

We are not perfect, we are not always going to be in God’s will, but thankfully we do not have to be, we just have to reach out to Him. David committed his fair share of sins, and he and his family suffered for them. David praises God’s forgiveness and reminds us all that our sins are covered and washed away, once we confess them to God. “I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.” – Psalms 32:5-7.

in a time when thou mayest be found:” There will be a time when people will not be able to find God, they will be searching and searching, but He will be gone. For those who have been putting off getting saved, the time is now, there is no guarantee for tomorrow, or even an hour from now, you only have this moment to receive the Lord, Jesus Christ as your Saviour before it is too late. God loves you, he does not want you to die in your sins, but live through His Son, who died to save you from hell. We mess up all the time, and that will never change until we see Jesus, God understands and knows what you have been through, and He wants to help you, but you must acknowledge you are a sinner and confess that you need Jesus. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” – Romans 10:9,10.

We are to praise God at all times, through joy, sorrow, chastisement, and especially when everything seems to go wrong. When we are consistent in giving praise to God, He always gives us a way out of our troubles. “A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.” – Psalms 34:1-4,22.

and delivered me from all my fears.” The most important thing we need to remember is that everything God says goes, whatever He promises, that He will do, whatever He commands, that we are to do. The key phrase we need to remember is, to “Fear God.” If we want to break the chain of doubt we need to fear God, not what man can do to us. “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” – Hebrews 13:5,6.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Today, Jesus is revealed through the angel of the Lord (34:7).

Today’s Prayer: God, You want all You children to be honest, faithful, and true to You. In a world full of wicked devices it can be hard to remain faithful to You when faced with so many challenges. You are our strength to remain faithful when everyone else is against us. You are our courage to keep going when all we want to do is quit. You are our power to stand when we cannot stand up any longer. You are our grace to remember that we are forgiven. Lord, help us to be faithful to You in all that we do, and be ready for the day Your Son returns. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
