Message: Don’t Play, Do Receive Christ

Hello My Friend,

Oppression; The imposition of unreasonable burdens, either in taxes or services; cruelty; severity. There is a devastating reality that is fast approaching in America, oppression. One by one, cites and states are placing burdens on the people that are becoming unreasonable, and here is the thing, most people are blind to that fact as the truth gets covered with free food, healthcare, phones, rent, and money. You see, all that is going on right now is God warning this nation that if it does not return to God, He will remove His hedge of protection from it completely, and that the oppression will only get worse, which us what we are also seeing by all the rebellion. Nevertheless, God’s faithful need not fear, for their God will see them through it all.

[Psalms 103:2-6  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  3  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;  4  Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;  5  Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  6  The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.]

I was watching a movie where this woman, trying to get the attention of a man who was a Christian, thought she could play the part of a “Christian” to get his attention. Sadly, this is a reality for many who are in the churches, they attempt to play the part of a “Christian” oblivious to the fact that everything they do is making God more angry by the second. While only God knows whether or not someone has received His Son, we ought to be standing out from among those who are only playing the part. The only way we stand out is by walking with Jesus, talking with Him, and living as He lives. The more we walk with Jesus the more we will become like Him. The hardest part of going to Jesus in the first place is admitting that we are a sinner, no one wants to stand before Jesus and tell Him all the things they did, but the truth is, He already knows. Through Isaiah, God upbraids Judah for allowing themselves to be taken captive to the corrupted world.

[Isaiah 5:1-7  Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:  2  And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.  3  And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.  4  What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?  5  And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:  6  And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.  7  For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.]

[but behold oppression;] Did you ever notice that the worlds take on saving their people is to oppress them even more? The world is oblivious to the things of God, in fact, they despise the very teachings of Jesus because it does, in fact, go against the very things they build their lives upon. Many who are saved are no better, in fact, some are worse because they are only doing what they were taught by some corrupt church, and some even disregard the Word of God using their salvation as justification of sin. Our salvation may not be based on our works, but it does not give us the liberty to live a life of sin and not expect God to respond without judgment. Remember, judgment begins with the house of God, we will all stand before Jesus, and in an instant those who were only acting the part will be in for a huge awakening. God gives Isaiah an amazing vision of a heavenly throne, and Jesus, one in which brought great conviction to him.

[Isaiah 6:1-2,5-10  In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.  2  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.  6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:  7  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.  8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  9  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.  10  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.]

[for mine eyes have seen the King,] This is what Jesus does, the second we see Him for who He is, that is when conviction hits, and we discover just how sinful we are and that no amount of good is enough to save us. In fact, it will seem as though we are filthy rags compared to Jesus, [Isaiah 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.]

While Isaiah was in Judah he conferred with a few kings, one being Uzziah. Jotham, his son he had to take over as king when Uzziah had become leprous for going into the temple and burning incense. Jotham was a good and godly king, he and Judah prospered greatly because He prepared his ways through God’s ways.

[II Chronicles 27:1-6  Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.  2  And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.  3  He built the high gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.  4  Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.  5  He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.  6  So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.]

[because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.] Our ways are not God’s ways, they never have been and never will be. The key to Jotham’s success was not that he was perfect, it was because he did everything knowing that the LORD was his God. We will never be prefect until Christ returns or we are in heaven, but we do not have to be, we just have to know that the LORD us our God. The only way to know that the LORD is our God is by receiving His Son as our Saviour. In fact, through Isaiah, God gives the wonderful prophecy of Jesus.

[Isaiah 7:6-9,14-16,21-22  Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:  7  Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.  8  For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.  9  And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established. 14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.  15  Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.  16  For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. 21  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;  22  And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.]

[for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.] There will only be a small remnant of people who will heed the warnings, and get to enjoy eternity with Christ. People of the world do not want to hear the truth, they do not want to hear that they are sinners and their sin will send them to hell, and that nothing they do on their own will save them from hell. It is really sad that most Jews refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and Saviour, and it is all right here in the Scriptures. Thankfully, God does not look at us through our own flesh, but through Christ, if His righteousness in us, [II Peter 3:10-13  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.]

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, It still amazes me that You went through so much pain to save me and only my simple faith and trust in Your finished work is all I need to be saved from the punishment of my sin and that is death and hell to my soul. I have Your seal, Your blood in me, and when I think of where I would be if I died before I knew the truth, I cringe. Lord, I want to live my life as a reflection of You, in which You shine through me every day. Give me Your power, strength, and wisdom to glorify You. Fill me with Your mercy, grace, compassion, and love. Use me to be a witness to the lost, and those whom have fallen away from You. Let me be bold enough to tell all how they can know You, and remind all of Your promise to never leave nor forsake anyone who truly receives You as their Saviour. I ask these things in Your name Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
