Message: Standing On The Unmovable Rock

Hello My Friend,

Foundation; The basis or ground work, or any thing; that on which any thing stands, and by which it is supported. Establishment; settlement. The foundation for every born again Christian is Jesus Christ, He is the Rock upon which we stand that supports us. Through Jesus Christ we are established, settled, and even if we lost every single thing in our being we will never be removed from our ROCK. Praise God! “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” – I Corinthians 3:10-15.

But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.” Once we receive Christ as our Saviour it is up to us to make sure we put the right things upon our foundation. While we can never lose our salvation, we can lose that connection with Christ that enables us to be able to fight and resist temptation, and fend off our enemies. And this is what happened with David, he somehow lost his connection with God that enabled him to walk away from Bathsheba in the first place. When David was running from his son, he was reminded of something, he was saved, and forgiven, and as long as he trusted the LORD then He just may have enough mercy toward him that He would deliver him, and He did.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” – Psalm 40:1-8.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; This is proof that even back then salvation was by grace, and not works. God knows that we are sinners, He certainly knew that we would never be able to follow every one of the six hundred and thirteen laws written, and He certainly knew that being a human sacrifice would never work as we are stained with sin. Faithful, born again Christians are not perfect by a long shot, but they follow God’s law the best they can, not out of requirement, obligation, or necessity, but out of love and thanks for what Christ has done for them. We are perfect in Christ by His great sacrifice, so He does not require sacrifices and offerings, just a willingness to be in His will. And if we were to count every blessing given there would be too many to number. Daily we are to come to God with praise, adoration, and confession as we learn and grow in Christ,

A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD: That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.” – Psalm 26:1-3,6-11.

and tell of all thy wondrous works. And this is why we do what we do, to tell of the amazing things that God has done for us through our faith. We must face it, the world is falling apart, the closer we get to Christ returning the worse it is going to get, and the more true Christians are going to be persecuted for their faith. However, it is our faith that will keep us strong in Christ to handle it all, and while it may seem like God is not doing anything about it, He truly is handling it all. All we need to do is trust Him, and pray He keeps them away from us.

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.” – Psalm 64:2-8.

So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves:Do you ever wonder why it seems as though God never judges the wicked, but only judges the righteous? God does judge them, but He does not have to lay a finger on them because they fight each other. Remember, a house divided cannot stand, so, if the world cannot get along with each other, and will turn on each other in a heartbeat, then they will destroy each other, and all they need to do it with is their tongue alone. “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.” – Mark 3:24-26.

but hath an end.” One day, Satan will have an end, along with everyone who follows him. In the meantime we have to do everything we can to build a strong house upon our ROCK. We have nothing to lose by living our lives in a way that reflects Christ in us, as we await for Him to bring us home, or return. To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” – Psalm 62:1-8.

wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.Expectation; The act of expecting or looking forward to a future event with some reason to believe the event will happen. We do not have to reason with ourselves whether Christ will return or not, He will return because whatever the Bible says always comes to pass. While we wait we might as well live the best life that God can possibly give us by living through Christ. And just in case you think that you will not be able to handle it, think again, you are no living on your own strength, but the strength of Christ, upon who’s foundation you will never be moved. Amen! “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” – II Timothy 2:19-21.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.” – Psalm 40:2-3.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, Thank You for loving me and giving Your life for me. You loved me well before I loved you and proved that by taking all my sins to the cross with You and offering Yourself as the sacrifice for my redemption. It is a good thing that we do not have to repay You for what You have done because I know I would never be able to, but I do want to honor You by living my life as a refection of You. It is not always easy, I know I mess up, especially when my flesh is tired and weak, but You are my strength, You are my Rock, the only foundation that will never move me. In Your name Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
