Message: Worship God In Due Order

Hello My Friend,

Here in America, and thanks to our Constitution, and the First Amendment, we have the Separation of Church and State. That means that even though our entire nation was founded on Christian values, it does not have a one nation religion, meaning the government does not get to decide how we worship, we have a choice. Unfortunately, that amendment has been distorted, and people worship everything from Almighty God Himself to a chair. Think I am exaggerating? I am not. Just like Israel created the golden calf after they got tired of waiting for God, man creates a god out of anything they can drum up because they think if they see it they will get instant results. The same thing goes for all these false religions, they may say they worship the Almighty, but they have no clue that who they are really worshiping is the devil. “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” – Mark 7:7-9.

“that ye may keep your own tradition.” And here is the key right there, people change God into an image they want Him to be so they can continue to live as they please and still think it will get them to heaven. If they just sought God His way and stopped going against His Word then they would see the truth, however, the have not idea what they are worshiping because they never picked up a Bible. We see the results of what happens when we try to worship God our own way through David as he eagerly seeks to have the Ark of God moved to Jerusalem. You see, king Saul never led the country under the Law of Moses so very few read it or followed it.

“And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader. And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul. And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it. And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart. And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.” – I Chronicles 13:1-3,6-10.

“and there he died before God.” This is proof that there is only one way to worship God, and that is Jesus Christ. If you try to get to God any other way than through your faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ Himself then it is an instant death sentence for you, and hell also. Let me tell you, I do not care who they are, they may say they do not believe in God, but no one ever says they want to be in hell when they die, even the worse person on earth wants to go to heaven. Those crazy radical Islamist’s kill themselves along with hundreds of others in their attempts to get to heaven. Choosing your own way to worship God, being ignorant to His Word, or ignoring it all together will not stop God’s judgment on this, death and hell to all who do not come to God through Jesus Christ. “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” – John 5:26-29.

“And shall come forth;” I do not care you who are, every single person created from Adam to the last, will stand before Jesus, we will all resurrect to await judgment, born again believers of Christ will receive eternal life, but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will receive eternal death, which means hell and the lake of fire. Yes, God is a just God, but He is also a merciful God, which is why He gives everyone an opportunity to be saved from eternal death, they just have to learn and accept the truth. Now, David was literally afraid of God that day, but he read or had someone read the Law to Him, and discovered what had happened, and after three months the Ark was moved.

“And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever. And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it. And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab, And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it. For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order. So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.” – I Chronicles 15:1-3,11-14,26.

“for that we sought him not after the due order.” Again, people can try to come to God any other way, but unless they come to Him through Christ He will have nothing to do with them. You can call God mean and cruel for His stance on this, but it is His Law, and we must obey all of it, and rejecting it will only send us to hell. We all have family there, and must understand that God is not doing this out of hatred of anyone, otherwise, He would not have sent His Son for everyone. What about those who were here before Christ same? They are saved by their faith also. “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” – Romans 4:3-5.

“his faith is counted for righteousness.” Salvation has always been about grace, and our obedience to God is a result of our faithfulness to Him through our faith. Now, after the ark was brought up, David restores worship in the tabernacle as well as the offerings, he writes a special Psalm as a reminder that while God is a just God He is also merciful and we need to thank and praise Him for all He is because we are sinners saved by grace.

“So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God. And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel: Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required: To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;” – I Chronicles 16:1-7,37,40.

“as every day’s work required:” Worshiping God takes a daily commitment as the devil does anything he can to get saved, born again believers to slip and slide away from this. Why? To keep them from telling or showing the truth about Christ to the lost. We need to be committed to God because the devil knows that while our soul belongs to Jesus, if he can draw us away from God and teaching the truth He can keep the lost from finding out and taking them with him, because he is going the same place as the rest of the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars. In our commitment to Christ we may just help save a soul. “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” – I Corinthians 6:9-11.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.” – I Chronicles 15:15.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for Your amazing mercy and grace to give us a way to be able to worship You without consequence. In order to worship You, we must be sanctified and thanks to Your Son all we need to do to be sanctified is believe in the Gospel, and receive Him as our Saviour. Thank You Jesus, for such a sacrifice. Lord, Lead me and guide me, fill me with Your mercies, grace, wisdom, keep me committed to you daily in prayer, worship, and serving You as Your Word tell us. Let me be a witness and a testimony of all your grace and goodness as well as Your righteous judgment. In Your name, Jesus, I pray, Amen.
