Message: Come Into The Light

Hello My Friend,

Condemnation; The judicial act of declaring one guilty, and dooming him to punishment. Did you ever see the face of a kid when they know they have done something they should not have been doing? That smile they get, as if they know they had gotten away with it? From birth it does not take long for our sin nature to kick in, what was innocent starts turning into something often thought out, and done deliberately, especially when we think we have gotten away with it. None of us are without sin, and no matter how good we try to be all it takes is one sin to haunt us for the rest of our lives, after all, the bad is always remembered over the good. This is why God sent Jesus, He knows that sin haunts and condemns us for eternity, but with Jesus we see the light and if we do we get eternal life through Him, no matter what we have done. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.– John 3:19-21.

lest his deeds should be reproved.” In order for us to escape condemnation we must first admit that we are a sinner, if we go through life believing that we have never done wrong we will never see the Light, not of God, and certainly not of Jesus. We like to think that we have everything under control, that we control our fate, well we do, but only to a certain extent, there is a severe punishment for sin, and we cannot escape that on our own. We may not see Jesus in the flesh, but His Light shines in the lives of those who believe. Think you need to see Him in the flesh believe in Him? Seeing is not always believing, people saw Him every day, even saw the miracles, but were oblivious to who He is. At a wedding feast along with His disciples and mother, Jesus performed His first miracle by His mothers encouragement and he turned water into wine.

And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.– John 2:3-10.

mine hour is not yet come.Mary did what every proud mother does, she wanted to show off her sons abilities. Jesus reminded her that it was not time for all to know who He truly is. We like to think that we control God’s actions, but everything is in His time, in fact, Jesus only reveals Himself to us when the time is right for us to accept Him for who He truly is. Think about it, everyone knows the name Jesus, unless you live in a cave you have heard His name, but knowing His name and knowing Him personally are two different things. It is only when our heart is ready to receive Him that He reveals to us that He is our only way to God and escaping condemnation. Incidentally, the host of the wedding, while greatly astonished that the wine was good and would not have the harmful side affects of normal wine that would get one drunk (then that which is worse:), had no clue that Jesus made it.

You see, Jesus did not come here to die for just one group of people, well, actually He did, He died for believers, but they are not of a particular color, family, or religion, they are people of all walks of life, rich, poor, black, white, Jesus accepts all who believe in Him, no matter where they came from. The news of Jesus turning water into wine got around, many found Him, believed, and were baptized, this left a lot of people wondering whether or not He was doing the same thing as John the Baptist. They met with John and got a response.

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.– John 3:26-27,31-36.

and all men come to him.You see, the Jews, even though most of them did not believe Jesus to be the Messiah and Son of God, thought that He only came to save the Jews, however, He was (His disciples) baptizing people of all heritages. Jesus proved that many times, including a Samaritan woman, whom Jesus spoke to as He was passing through Samaria, a town no Jew would ever step foot in.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.– John 4:7-10,21-24.

for the Father seeketh such to worship him.God has never only been the God of the Jews, He is God of all who worship Him in truth, He chose the Jews to show the rest of the world that there is only One God, but He has always accepted all who want worship Him. It is kind of sad that out of the billions of people that have come and gone in the world that only a small percentage worship God and have escaped condemnation. Several of the Samaritans believed and were saved, Jesus stayed there for two days, but He did not stop with the Samaritans, on His way back to Galilee He was approached by a man whose son was deathly ill.

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.– John 4:48-54.

and himself believed, and his whole house. You see, often Jesus uses not the miracles to bring others to Him, but the faith of those whom the miracle was given. Miracles happen every day, it is seeing someone come through the miracle that is more increases our faith. What Jesus does for one He can do for you, we are all blessed in different ways, some people remain with an illness so that His Light can shine through their faith. No matter what trials we go through here on earth it is only temporary, if we are saved we have a much better life awaiting us when we see Jesus, whether it is Him bringing us home or Him returning and taking us up in the clouds we will forever be with the LORD. “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” – II Corinthians 5:6-8.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for the gift of my salvation, I know that it is not by my own works that I am saved from condemnation, but by the finished work of Your Son, who died, was buried, and arose from the grave that not only saves me from an eternity in hell, it assures me that I have eternal life with Jesus. I know it can be hard at times to see You when I am overwhelmed with life. Lord, shine Your light on me, lead me and guide me in Your will and Your ways, help me to see Your Light through all the clutter and chaos that is constantly trying to keep me in the dark. I love You Lord and ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
