Message: The Christian Walk

Hello My Friend,

The Christian walk is not promised to be a smooth path, but it is promised to be one in which God walks with us along every path we take the second we receive His Son as our Saviour. Now, what happens if we ever turned down a wrong path and lost our way with God? He is right there, just turn around, He will wrap His arms around you and love you just like He always does. “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” – I Peter 5:6,7.

Sometimes God’s people do get caught up in a mess and can get so far away from Him that He is no where to be found, but God knows who His people are, He never forgets them, and knows where they can be found. As Moses finishes his speech to Israel he taught them a song that they were to remember and sing often. It was not a typical uplifting song, but a solemn song, one that foretold much of the future of Israel as well as other nations. The objective of this song was to remind them of God’s judgment and salvation.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.” – Deuteronomy 32:4-5,18-21.

I will see what their end shall be:If you ever wondered why God does not step in and stop the people from living sinful lives this is the reason why. God will not watch one of His own living in sin, He will turn His back on them and let them fall, until He says, “Okay, they have had enough.” That is when He reminds them that He is still around and it is time to repent. As the song continues they are reminded of their rebellion.

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this. For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,” – Deuteronomy 32:27-31,36-37.

For their rock is not as our Rock,” Their Rock that judged and saved a few of them is the same Rock that will judge and save a few of us, Jesus Christ. Those who reject Jesus corrupt themselves and are usually the most rebellious, foolish, and unwise people about God, they literally make up their own god and religions, their rock is definitely not the same Rock that we stand upon. “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” – I Corinthians 10:1-4.

Moses went up to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, one last time to view the promised land before he died. The beautiful land flowing with milk and honey, could been seen, but he could not enter. God never forgot what Moses had done for Him throughout the years, even after he was told he could not enter the promised land.

And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,” – Deuteronomy 34:4-10.

And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab,There is an interesting fact here, Moses wrote the words God wanted in His book, even down to how old he was when he died. Moses was the only man on earth to be able to stand face to face with God and talk to Him one on one. Moses was not perfect, but he still had God’s favor because he remained faithful to Him. No one ever on earth is perfect, except Jesus, sometimes we are going to do things that keep us from receiving certain blessings from God, but when we make things right with Him He will honor and bless us accordingly. Losing out on things is never a reason to walk away from God, He has much more to show and give us by remaining faithful to Him. Moses is a prime example of how we are to trust God, even when He tells us we cannot have something. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” – Psalm 91:1-2,14-16.

Jesus Christ Magnified: Today Jesus is revealed through the Rock, He is our foundation that no one can shake. “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” – I Corinthians 3:11.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, Thank You for the safety You place Your people, even if we wander away from You and get lost, You know where to find us. You only let us go through so much before you start calling for us to return to You. Thank You for Your love, patience, and never letting go of us, there really is nothing we can do to thank You, but let You live in and through us. Lord, give us Your power, strength, and wisdom to withstand the evils of the day and help us to live our lives by Your example. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
