Message: Wake Up Church!

If you do a Google search asking if Christians take the Bible as literal you will get thousands of people writing articles of why they do not. I do not know why they call themselves Christians if they do not believe the Bible. They certainly do not know Christ as their Saviour, and if they do, then they have a serious problem if they will believe in the Gospel of Christ as literal and not the rest of the Bible. And you can thank the Catholic church, and other churches who teach this garbage, who by the way, have created their own versions of God’s Word and replaced it with truth. Of course, no one is going to take it literal if they are not hearing the truth. And they wonder why God is so angry? It is time for the church to repent or else deal with the wrath of God.
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” – Revelation 2:4-5,17.
“because thou hast left thy first love.” Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist, Jehovah Witness, Islamic, these churches are not oblivious to the Word of God, they know it is true, and yet each and every one of them have replaced it with their own books. Not only that, they teach their unbiblical doctrine, warning them not to pick up a Bible because it is too hard for them to understand. What does that tell you? It tells me that they have something to hide. The problem with that is, you end up with churches telling you that heaven and hell are not real places, the devil is not real, and as long as you know that Christ existed two thousand years ago you are saved. And from what, they have no idea. Now, while most of Judah had been taken to Babylon, other Jews found their way back to Jerusalem, and the ones who stayed behind lived by their own law, oblivious to the fact that God was seeing all this. God sends Ezekiel, whom He instructed to shave his head and beard, divide the hair into three parts, then show them the ultimate judgment to come for Israel for defiling His Church.
“Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity. A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them. So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.” – Ezekiel 5:11-13,17.
“and with all thine abominations,” This will be Judgment Day, and is addressed to all nations. Salvation is not a replacement for sin, God never changed His views on sin, if it was an abomination when He had it written in the Law, it is still an abomination today. Period! They can create all the versions they want that eliminates this truth, but that does not change the fact that sin is sin, and God deals with sin the same way, death and hell. And let me tell you, God takes it very seriously when someone says they believe in His Son as their Saviour, and will take it very seriously if they have done so in vain. “Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.” – I Corinthians 11:27-29.
“But let a man examine himself,” This means man, woman, teenager, and child that is accountable for their sin. We are all sinners, and if we are saved, we are saved by grace alone and not of our own works, but if you are going to call yourself a Christian, should there not be Christ in your life? He ought to be. The title Christian has been watered down with a fake version of a Christ, one that says, “I love you and died for you, and if you believe that you will not die.”(John 3:16), but does not say, “You must admit you are a sinner, that hell is the punishment for sin, and unless you believe that I died, was buried and arose three days later to save you from that punishment, you will die and be cast into hell (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:14, Romans 10:9-10).” No one ends up in hell because God wants them there, He does not want one soul to perish, but the fact is they do, and the majority of those who die and end up in hell are there because they trusted in their religion, and did not take the Bible seriously. Ignoring this fact does not change it, and every church will be judged for sending people to hell. Now, God tells Ezekiel to turn his face toward the mountains and prophecy against them.
“And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places. And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars. Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries. And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.” – Ezekiel 6:3-5,8-10.
“even I, will bring a sword upon you,” Why was God angry at the mountains, hills, rivers, and valleys? Because they defiled them with all their abominations. And that includes the people who created and worshiped them. God’s first commandment is, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” – Exodus 20:3. He is telling all, “If you choose me, You will have no other gods before Me!”. His second command is, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:” – Exodus 20:4. He is telling all, “You will not make statutes, images, or objects of worship of any kind, and you will not worship anything that I have made that is in the heavens, on the earth, or in the waters!” There is only One God, He is the only true and living God, Creator, and Saviour o those who choose Him. He is alive, always has been, always will be, and He will have no other gods before Him, including Buddha, Allah, Pope, and Mary. God is angry, not at the people that have no idea who He is, but at the very people who know do. And as God continues to tell of Judgment Day, He describes what will be their state.
“Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them. The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life. They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.” – Ezekiel 7:10-13,19.
“They shall cast their silver in the streets,” All these people trading out their cash for silver and gold are going to have a huge awakening when they discover it is worthless. No one will have mercy on each other, there will be no happiness, no joy, no relief from their burdens caused by their sin. It is quite sad really, and I am glad that I will be up in the clouds when it happens. You know, as merciful and forgiving as God is, He is just as disgusted over these churches putting Him in the middle of their lies as we true Christians are. All the while, God is seeing all this, and it does not even escape their mind. And this is where God gives Ezekiel a tour of Israel.
“He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.” – Ezekiel 8:6,10-11,13-16.
“Hast thou seen this,” Oh, how much it must grieve God to see all these things taking place still today. Have you seen this? It should grieve every faithful, saved, born again Christian at the sight of what these churches are doing to people who do not know any better. Even my mother, born and raised Catholic, is seeing what the church is doing and has said how bad it has become. It is time for the Church to repent, to open up God’s Word, take it literally and seriously, live by it, and start preaching the truth, the whole truth, and nothing, but the truth! Wake up church! Open your eyes! Your members are going to die and be in hell! And so are you if you do not repent! “I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” – Revelation 2:19-23.
Jesus Christ Magnified: “And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.” – Ezekiel 8:4.
Today’s Prayer: God, In a world that is falling quickly through sin, we who are saved and living in obedience to Your commands need Your protection more than ever. Lord, put Your hedge around us, keep us safe from all the destruction that is taking place, give us Your courage to be a witness to Your saving grace, and give us the strength to stand up to Your truths and not be afraid to speak them. We are Your Church, we are Your voice, let us be the example we need to be to bring others to repentance before Your Son returns. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
