Message: In Truth And In Righteousness

Hello My Friend,

Blind faith, that is what I call it when you set out to do something by faith, not knowing what is ahead of you. When you think about it, we often live on blind faith, you get into a vehicle, take that job, start that relationship, walk into that building, all on blind faith. Imagine the outcome of anything walking into it on blind faith with God? The world is actually blind to the truths of God and His Word, they are just as clueless about God as they are about what is right and wrong. Somehow the world has twisted everything around, everything that truly is good and moral is bad while immorality and evil is good. I once talked with this woman about how silly it sounds when people swear, she straight out told me that that was my opinion. I would like to say that we are just in a funk in this nation, every nation to be exact, and that it will get better, but I have read the Bible, and what happened to Israel, and we are no different than Israel. God has been dealing with this since the fall of man, and it will really never change, not until Christ returns. Oh, He will live in truth and in righteousness one day. “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.” – Zechariah 8:7-8,13.

The only thing the world is good at doing when it comes to acknowledging God is when something catastrophic happens, they are quick to blame Him for what is going on rather than see that perhaps they are the cause. As God continues to give Zechariah visions about what is to come when Christ returns, he gives him another vision, one concerning a flying roll (book).

“Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.” – Zechariah 5:1-4.

“This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth:” Now, we have a while before this happens, but God will get His vengeance on all who use His name in vain or in an attempt to get people to believe them of the truth. This is all the devil and his conniving people into creating this one world religion. There is nothing more powerful than the Word of God, all it has to do is prick the heart of a person for it to convict them. When Jesus does return and brings great judgment upon the earth He will not do it with swords or guns, He will do it by speaking the Word of God. And writing all this is kind of freaking me out because I am doing this also with blind faith, God is guiding me on this, I am just His messenger. God gives Zechariah a command to make crowns for Joshua, the high priest, this would be a sign that another high priest, that will reign in the temple.

“Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest; And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD. And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.” – Zechariah 6:10-15.

“and he shall build the temple of the LORD:” Jesus is the BRANCH, and not only is He the High Priest that would stand before God and offer Himself as a sacrifice to redeem man, He is the KING, who will reign. Jesus built God’s temple the second He resurrected from the grave, the saved souls are God’s temple, the flesh on the other hand is another thing. It is amazing what the flesh desires, and what one desires is far different from another, one gets satisfaction from substance, another gratification, another power, yet another pain. Can I tell you that all the desires of our flesh lead to pain eventually. Why? Because the flesh has the has only one desire, to satisfy itself. Even though God had sent the Jews to Babylon that did not mean they were to forsake the Law, For the past seventy years they did not do one thing for God, through Zechariah, God addressed this to all.

“Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves? Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts. Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:” – Zechariah 7:5-6,9-13.

“did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?” I tell people this all the time, “You cannot fast and it be effective if you do not do it for God.” They look and me like I am crazy, In cannot see them, but I know they are. And this is exactly why I stopped following an eating plan where I fasted for twenty-four hours. When we fast, unless it is for health reasons, like a test, it is not to be for our own personal agenda, it is for the sole purpose of reaching God. There are times when fasting is necessary, it is not as though our prayers are not heard at other times, it is that we might use more time in prayer and doing God’s work rather than attend to the needs of our own flesh for a while. As we learned in Ezra, the Jews returned to Jerusalem, laid the foundation for the new temple, but were forced to cease from doing any more work, it was Haggai and Zechariah that God sent to get them going again. God reminds them of when they were to fast, and foretells the glorious day when all will come to Him for truth and righteousness.

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.” – Zechariah 9:9-11,14,22-23.

“We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.” When Jesus told the people that that temple they built would be destroyed and He would rebuild it in three days, they thought He was insane, their reason being that it would be impossible for a building to be built in three days. Of course, Jesus was talking about Himself in that they would kill Him and three days later He would resurrect from the dead. How easy is it to believe the wicked things of the world, but not the things of Jesus? So many Jews reject Him, and so many religions that do recognize Him have no clue who He truly is, and yet it was all written in the Old Testament as well. God reveals more to Zechariah, the day that the Jews would destroy the temple and He would rebuild it. Yes, one day the earth will be destroyed, but there is hope for the saved, a new earth, one with no more sin, sorrow, pain or any kind, and the only ones who will be there are those who are saved. “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:1,6-8.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” – Zechariah 9:9.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for making me a part of Your family, not by works or obedience to Your Word am I saved from judgment, but solely by my faith and trust in the finished work that Your Son. One day over brings us one day closer to His return and judgment beginning upon the whole earth. Lord, You know the intentions of our hearts, as You allow circumstances and affliction to examine our us, lead us and guide us and keep us in Your Word so we are not only hears of it, but doers also. Give us Your power to be a witness that teaches Your truths and righteousness, and what will really happen when He returns to claim Your people, and fill us with Your grace to endure all things. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
