Message: Endure Unto The End

Hello My Friend,

As I was reading the chapters for today, something Jesus said popped in my thoughts, [Matthew 24:12-14  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.] The more chaotic and crazy things get here on earth I guarantee you that there are many of Christ’s faithful looking for that blessed day when Jesus returns and takes us away from all this. When you stop to think about it, salvation is like a one-way, non refundable ticket, bought and paid for with the blood of Jesus Christ. Once you get that ticket, there are no refunds, you cannot turn back, and you must take the flight all the way there, no matter how much turbulence you encounter along the way, once our journey here is done, we have His Kingdom awaiting us. Amen!

[I Thessalonians 4:15-17  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.]

One does not have to look too hard to notice that something is going on in the world, those who are content with all the corruption, immorality, and evil that is taking place are simply trying to compensate on it all. God’s warnings are everywhere, judgment is coming, not only to much of Israel who rejects Christ, but to all nations. Through Isaiah, God continues warning of the coming judgment, when Christ will return, and all nations will be judged, he gives special warning to Tyre, but also tells of its restoration.

[Isaiah 23:9-11,15-18  The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.  10  Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.  11  He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof. 15  And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.  16  Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.  17  And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.  18  And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.]

[for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD,] There is an interesting prophecy here, when Christ returns, instead of using their wealth and fame to further themselves, they are using it to please God, and because of that they are protected by Him. And God continues speaking of Christ coming to judge the earth, He gives us a glimpse of the devastation it will be under as He rids the entire earth of all its evil.

[Isaiah 24:1-2,13-16,21,23  Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.  2  And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. 13  When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.  14  They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.  15  Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.  16  From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. 21  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.  23  Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.]

[Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires,] All this is referring to the day Jesus returns, takes His seat on the throne as KING, and judges the earth while the devil is shut up in prison for a thousand years. During that time, Jesus is going to gather His people, so they will not be destroyed as the earth crumbles into nothing. Right now, we who are faithful must remain here in the midst of all the evil until He brings us home or returns so that we can preach the Gospel while we are still able. Nevertheless, we need not fear, for He will help us endure.

[Isaiah 25:4-9  For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.  5  Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.  6  And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.  7  And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.  8  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.  9  And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.]

[and the vail that is spread over all nations.] The veil is a picture of the veil that was placed in the temple that separated God from man. When Jesus died on the cross, that veil was ripped, from the top down, this was to indicate that by our faith in Him alone the veil has been removed, and we are no longer separated. [Hebrews 10:19-20  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,  20  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;] And Jesus certainly did swallow up death in victory, and so will we when He returns and we get our new immortal bodies, [I Corinthians 15:52-54  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.]

While the destruction of the world is inevitable, we must not let it consume us, one day, all of this will be over, we will not have to fear anything, and we will thank God for all that He has done, including the chastening that we got occasionally. We are never going to get along with those who live in the world, but we can learn to live peacefully during the chaos and help Jesus find a few more souls in the process, after all, that is why we are here. Okay, I have said it before and I will say it again, nothing we see today is new to God, and nothing we have learned through the New Testament is any different than the Old. Through Isaiah, God reveals more about Christ and how many will come to know them as their Saviour.

[Isaiah 26:4,8-9,19-21  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: 8  Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.  9  With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. 19  Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20  Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.  21  For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.]

[together with my dead body shall they arise.] This is the foretelling of Christ and His resurrection, all who receive Him as their Saviour will arise, just like His dead body did. When we receive Christ as our Saviour we get more than a ticket to heaven, we receive eternal life as well. We are alive through Christ, we live because He lives. God does not want to see everything He created destroyed, but there will come a time when He will rid the earth of all its evil, including the devil who caused all this.

[Isaiah 27:1-3,9,12-13  In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.  2  In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.  3  I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day. 9  By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. 12  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.  13  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.]

[and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.] What a great day it will be when Christ’s saints get to see Satan and all his minions cast into the lake of fire, [Revelation 20:10,12-14  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You, for the one way ticket to Your Kingdom, my faith in Your Son has paid the way for me, and I am so thankful that You deem it non refundable for there is nothing I could ever do that would take my salvation away. While we do not know the hour in which You will tell Your Son that it is time to return, we who know Christ as our Saviour know that we will be caught up in those clouds and forever with You. You have us here to endure all the evil so that we can be a witness, and the only way we can do that is by living our lives as the examples you need us to be so that the world can see Jesus in us. Lord, Lead us and guide us, teach us Your Law, to walk in it, not for our salvation, but that we might be vessels who may be able to lead a soul to You before the day He returns to judge the earth. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
