Message: It’s Simple, Admit, Believe, Receive

Hello My Friend,

I was reading some comments in a Christian forum and was astounded to see the arguing going on. You know, saved born again Christians are not perfect, we have our own opinions, but we must be careful that our option not take away, one the simplicity of the Gospel, and two, make up our own law. For example, there are Christians calling Santa Satan, teaching if you have a tree in your house you are a Pagan. We have to understand that one, the world does not know any better, two, many saved, born again Christians do not know any better either, and three, lighten up, stop creating something that is not there. Get in the Word of God, study all of it, and get back to the simplicity of it. The problem is that many Christians do not read their Bibles, rather are getting their information from others. This is why so many people run from Christianity, they are enforcing laws that are not even in the Bible. We cannot believe we are saved by grace and also believe we have to keep our salvation by doing “good” deeds, the Bible clearly does not say that. It is time for the misinformed teachers to be retaught.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” – Hebrews 5:12-14.

ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God;Oracles; The place where the answers were given. The communications, revelations, or messages delivered by God to prophets. Somehow, the world has crept into the church, in fact, the devil has, and there are false prophets everywhere, and they are teaching this false doctrine that is literally sending people to hell. We are too complex in our reasoning to ever comprehend everything God wants us to learn in His Word, but as we study it for ourselves through the Holy Spirit, we learn that God really in not that complicated at all. The Book of Hebrews was written by Paul to Jewish believers, known as the Hebrews, around 65 AD. The purpose of the letter was to show them that Judaism had come to an end through the fulfillment of Christ who is the purpose of the whole law. What we are to learn is that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, established on better promises.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.” – Hebrews 1:1-4,10-12.

when he had by himself purged our sins,Jesus purged us from our sins the second we one, admitted we were a sinner, two, believed the Gospel, and three, received Him as our Saviour. Yes, Jesus died so that all who believes in Him would have eternal life, but not all are who believe He did this are saved. My case in point, the devil certainly knows who Jesus is, and believes He died to save man from their sins, but He will never admit he is a sinner, nor receive Him as his Saviour, the devil is too proud for that, as well as everyone else who refused to acknowledge they are a sinner. We have to be careful not to make the Gospel more complex ourselves, like I said, we all have our own opinions, but it should not take away from the simplicity of the Gospel.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” – Hebrews 2:1-4,9-11,4-15.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;” By no other name can we be saved, God gave Moses the law so that the Jews could be separated from natural man. When you stop to think about all the people in the world, how many believe in some form of god, and how many actually are saved that number is astoundingly very low. Jesus, with all the power of God, and above the angels, lowered Himself to be less than the angels by putting on the flesh that we have, becoming the sacrifice necessary to bring permanent salvation to all who believe, and gave us life through His sinless death. It was necessary for Paul to remind the Jews, who held Moses in such high esteem, that he was a man saved by his faithfulness to God.

For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” – Hebrews 3:4-6,10,17-19.

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.A Jew was not saved because they were a Jew, or even if they believed in God, again, one can believe in God, but that does not mean they are saved. Jacob (Israel) and Esau were twins both taught the Word of God, both believed God existed, but Esau walked away from God, and Jacob did not, therefore, Jacob would become father of the Jews. To know and accept the Saviour, whether we know Him as the Messiah or Christ, is more than being saved from death and hell, it is being set free from all sin, it is having a one on one relationship with God, it is eternal life in His Kingdom, and entering into His rest. Stop creating a new law, and start getting back to the simplicity of the Gospel. Does God want us living a life of sin? No, and in time, as we walk with Christ, we learn the truth through His Word and start obeying it.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” – Hebrews 4:1-3,7-11.

but the word preached did not profit them,” Why does not the worldly Christian accept the truth of the Gospel, and live their lives accordingly? Because it does not profit them. They rather make up their own version of Jesus, and profit from that then admit they are sinners, and will end up in hell unless they receive Him. You see, the entire world can quote, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”- John 3:16, but fail to recognize, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” – John 3:18. One fraction of changing the Gospel, and you are condemned already because you are not believing the truth of the Gospel, and if you are teaching your own doctrine then their blood will be on your hands, and you will answer to God. We, who know the truth need to start educating those who are ignorant to these truths so all have the opportunity to be saved. “And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.” – I Corinthians 11:24-28.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” – Hebrews 2:14-15.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, I will never understand how I can be saved simply by believing in and accepting You as my Saviour. But I do understand that I am saved by my faith alone in Your finished work, and I know I am a sinner, I believe You died to save me from my sin, and I am know I only need You for my salvation. Thank You for saving me, it is not always easy to follow the path that seems to have so many false prophets out there, but I know I can endure them through You. Lead me and guide me, teach me Your truths so that I can teach them to others, and when I start to doubt or feel like things are hopeless keep me looking to You, my Saviour, my God, my everything. I love You and am nothing without You. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
