Message: Make And Eat Your Own Bread

Hello My Friend,

Venezuela was one of the most prosperous countries in the world, but today it is desolate, corrupt, dictated, and people are resorting to anyone or thing to get their rights back. How did all this happen? Socialism. Socialism happens when the people rely on the government to give them everything instead of working for it. Where do you think they get all the provisions from? It is from people who work and pay taxes. If no one is paying taxes then there would be nothing for them to give. Governments are not here to provide for our every need, they are here to make sure we are treated fairly when it comes to paying taxes, that our constitutions are followed, that our countries are safe from our enemies, and that we get judged fairly, and most of the time they fail at that. I know this is harsh, but the Bible tells us, if we do not work, we do not eat. “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.” – II Thessalonians 3:10-13.

working not at all, but are busybodies.” Okay, I understand that things happen, people lose their jobs, have kids and debts to pay, but the government is not the answer, the reason being is that whenever the government gets involved in providing your every need, they dictate your lives for you, and before you know it you are living on the streets because they have taken everything you own. The world only themselves to blame when they are living in cardboard boxes, and eating rodents to stay alive because they allowed themselves to let a corrupt and dictative government to give them everything. Let me tell you, if you trust God, He will take care of every need, the necessities that is, food, shelter, water, clothes, and if He has to He will relocate you for a while. There was a famine in Egypt, and Canaan, Joseph reconciled with his brothers, and they finally told their father the truth, and that Joseph was alive. Of course, Jacob wanted to see his son, but God had other plans.

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.” – Genesis 46:1-5.

and I will also surely bring thee up again:This was to be a temporary solution, not permanent. God promised that He would be with them, and take care of Jacob’s entire family while there were in Egypt, and that He would bring them back to their own land. Jacob listened, and packed up his entire family, all seventy of them.

All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were threescore and six; And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten. And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen. And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while. And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me; And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation? That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.” – Genesis 46:26-29,31,33-34

that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; That land was actually the best in all the land, it was given to them, for their stay, and the Pharaoh confirmed it. Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen. And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee: The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle. And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.” – Genesis 47:1-7.

in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; If we trust God, He will give us the best of the land, no matter where He takes us. It is the churches and good Samaritans that are supposed to be helping those in need, but sadly those are few and far between these days. Jesus, speaking a parable said, For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” – Matthew 25:35-37,40.

ye have done it unto me.Part of the reason why socialism overtakes a nation is because people are greedy, they want everything for themselves and do not care how they get it. And if some kind of famine happens they are quick to sell themselves out for a morsel of bread rather than trust that God can and will provide for them. We are about to see how socialism starts, and ends with government controlling the people. The Egyptians did not care about God, and were relying on the government to provide for them during the famine, and they never did one thing to prepare for it themselves, and it started to hit hard. Remember, Joseph had all the corn harvested so they could only go to the government to get food now. First, they were able to use their money, but it only took a year for them to realize that their money was worthless.

And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house. And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.” – Genesis 47:13-15.

for the money faileth. When they discovered that their money could do nothing to save them from the famine they traded it for food. The government is all too willing to take our money to provide for us, the thing is, it only makes them more powerful. Had they prepared for it themselves they would not have been in that position, they absolutely had seven years to store their own goods for themselves. It only took a year for them to run out of money to buy more food, then they resorted to giving up their land. When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.” – Genesis 47:18-20.

buy us and our land for bread,” It was during this time that they pretty much lost their entire freedom, they sold their land and themselves, becoming slaves. And in a sense they sold their souls to the devil because they never trusted God. People who never prepare famines in life have the mentality that the government can save them, but fail to realize that it can only do so much, and it is not meant to be permanent. And now, the government owed everything they had. And since everything now belonged to the government, they had to pay taxes on everything they had in order to live on their property, that meant they had to get to work in the fields.

Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants. And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s. And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.” – Genesis 47:23-27.

and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.” I made an error, for years I thought that the Israelite’s sold themselves to the Pharaoh also, but they did not, God actually made sure the land they were on was taken care of. I no longer believe they became slaves because they sold themselves out, but that they delayed in going back home. If we are not careful and put our trust in man, or the government we will become enslaved to them. And this is not just about the world selling themselves out, many Christians are quick to sell themselves out because they are not trusting God through their famines. I have been through eight jobs in the past two years, some of them because I grabbed the first thing I could to make money from. Now, do not get me wrong, I worked to be able to eat, but it was not until I let go of these desolate jobs for God to bless me with amazing job He has blessed me with now. God actually used the past two years to prepare me for today, I actually work less hours, with more pay, and I know He is preparing me for something as I have been in famine that He is just now starting to pull me out of. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” – I Corinthians 2:9.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.” – Genesis 47:12.

Today’s Prayer: God, You have placed us on a journey of faith, one where we learn to trust You for all that we have need of, for the present and the future, whether it is in our relationships, our health, our provisions, or our spiritual needs. I am so glad I learned to trust You with my life, now, help me learn to trust You in every area of my life, through all the circumstances I face, even when things look hopeless, I know You are there and will always take care of me. Lord, all that I have is Yours, lead me and guide me, let me give to Your what is Yours, to Cesar what is his, and take care of those You send to me. I may not have silver or gold, but what I can give let me give it abundantly, and that is the Gospel. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
