Message: A New Creature

Hello My Friend,

In reading the chapters for today this verse comes to mind, [Matthew 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.] Those whom accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour are born again, that means their soul is literally born with God’s Spirit. That means that their soul is like a brand new baby that has just been born, it is new, and untouched from the elements of the world. Therefore, we are new creatures, [II Corinthians 5:17-19 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.]

When God chose the children of Israel (Jacob) to be His people, He did not choose them based on their merits or faithfulness, He did so because He made a promise to one God fearing man, Abraham, that through him, all nations would be blessed. Now, while God will always have a soft spot for Israel, it is not necessarily them that He is protecting when people attack Israel, it is His nation, which is a group of people that are united as one. All saved, born again Christians are one nation under God. Israel, just like America, was also one nation under God when it began. And all it took was one event, the revolt of the remnant of Jews fleeing to Egypt, for God to place judgment upon all nations that were against them to begin with also. First, God begins with the one who started it all, Baruch. Baruch thought he escaped, but God had a different way of judging him instead of death.

[Jeremiah 45:2-5 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch; 3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. 4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. 5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.]

[but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey] This is a similar judgment that God had given Cain when he killed his brother, Abel. This is why some people get life in prison rather than put to death for their crime, they will suffer and die, never forgetting the reason they became a prey. God will make an example out of us one way or another, and God’s people, by the way, only suffer for a short time, the wicked will suffer for eternity. Amen!

[I Corinthians 6:9-11 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.]

We often wonder why the wicked seem to always escape their fate, but the truth is, God is allowing them to suffer in their sin for what they have done. Now, God gives Egypt their fate, and this is happening at the result of the rebels who escaped captivity, and took their own captives to Egypt with them.

[Jeremiah 46:2,7-8,11-12,25,28  Against Egypt, against the army of Pharaohnecho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah. 7 Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers? 8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof. 11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured. 12 The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the land: for the mighty man hath stumbled against the mighty, and they are fallen both together. 25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him: 28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.]

[yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.] Do you see why I always say that God’s people get judged if they are living in sin while they are here and not when they see Jesus? Saved, born again Christians will not face the judgment of hell and the lake of fire as the others will, therefore, their judgment is now, [I Peter 4:17-19 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.]

Saved, born again Christians are a body of Christ, and our nation is the Kingdom of God. While we are in the flesh we cannot live in His Kingdom therefore, we are scattered all over the world. When Christ returns, God will bring all His people together, until then, we need to be walking as Christ so that others cane see Him and be saved. Now, God gives the fate of the Philistines.

[Jeremiah 47:2-3,5-7 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. 3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands; 5 Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? 6 O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. 7 How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.]

[O thou sword of the LORD,] The sword of the LORD, is none other than His Word. There is something very dangerous going on in churches today, they are silencing God’s Word, replacing it with words that tickle their ears instead of what they need to hear to bring them to repentance. That silence will save no one, they are the ones who will face Jesus the second their body receives its last breath and will be cast into hell, only to await judgment, as if that is not bad enough, [Revelation 21:7-8 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.]

Some nations are too wicked to even have one person saved, and will be destroyed completely, like Sodom and Gomorrah, others will be warned to get to higher ground before the judgment comes, which is the case of Moab. Now, God gives the fate of Moab, interestingly, God encourages them to flee so they will not face the judgment.

[Jeremiah 48:1-2,6-7,110-11 Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed. 2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee. 6 Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness. 7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. 10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood. 11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.]

[and his scent is not changed.] Saved, born again Christians are new creatures once they accept Christ as their Saviour, that means we ought to be changing into an image that reflects Christ. Sadly, that is not the case for so many, in fact, it is getting so much harder to spot a true Christian because they are no different than the world, [Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.]

You know, Christ is God’s hope for all people, He does not want to see one soul end up in hell and the lake of fire, He warns each and every one of us to flee and get away by going to higher ground. That higher ground is Jesus Christ. God is no respecter of persons, He does not limit salvation to a select race or family, and no matter what family we are born into, He accepts all who accept His Son, [John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.]

Today’s Prayer: God, It is truly amazing the blessings You give us just by our faith and obedience to Your Word. You tell us that there is nothing we can do to escape the judgment of hell and the lake of fire for our sin, except that we believe in and accept Your Son as our Saviour. No chastening is joyous, but I know and have seen the blessings that come as I endure them. Your anger is not forever, and You have no problem rewarding us for our faithfulness, the greatest reward of all, becoming one of Yours, receiving eternal life, and spending eternity with You in Your Kingdom. Thank You Lord, and I pray this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.
