Message: In Spirit And Truth

Hello My Friend,

Worship; To adore; to pay divine honors to God. True worship of God is not about God controlling our every move, it is about honoring God. Let me tell you, when we all stand before Jesus we will be on our knees because we will discover that we truly are sinners who were saved by Him through our faith in the Gospel alone. That is what pleases God and gives honor to Him, [John 3:33-36 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.]

The Scribes and Pharisees were well aware of the Law, they were really good at helping people find their way, and teaching them the ways of God. If they were truly following the Law of Moses they would know that Jesus is was more than some preacher man. Jesus runs into a Pharisee name Nicodemus, who was a Pharisee, most of them just followed Him around to see if they could catch Him do something wrong, but Nicodemus saw something different than the rest, he came to Him in the night to speak with Him about God, but he just did not quite understand why Jesus said he had to be born again.

[John 3:1-5,9-12  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?]

[how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?] This goes beyond the saying that seeing is believing, this is plain disbelief in what is right in front of their eyes. These people witnessed the miracles that Jesus performed the entire time He was here in the flesh, and yet they refused to believe and get saved. People are the same way today, Jesus or not, they are blind to the truth, only want to see the lies, and yes, I am referring to our country and the countless people who protest over things they have no clue about. If people cannot see the truth of what is happening right before their eyes, how do they expect to get any respect from God when they cannot believe in the simple truth of the Gospel? There are some that believe Jesus only came to save the Jews, but Jesus came to save all who believe, He proved this several times, but the most notable is the Samaritan woman, we do not even know her name, but we know he faith. Jesus did not care what race or nationality she was, all He cared about was her faith, and what true worship was receiving the gift of God.

[John 4:9-11,13-15,21,24-26 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.]

[I that speak unto thee am he.] So many people honor and worship God, but the truth is that they have no clue who they are worshiping because it is not Almighty God. To worship God we must believe that He not only sent Jesus, that He, is in fact, He is the Son of God, and Himself in the flesh. God started with the Jews, very few accept Him still today because they refuse to worship Him in spirit and truth, but there will come a time when they too will finally understand and believe. God has never only been the God of the Jews, He is God of all who worship Him spirit and in truth, He chose the Jews to show the rest of the world that there is only One God, but He has always accepted all who want worship Him, [Romans 2:9-11 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.]

Jesus might have had twelve disciples with Him twenty-four seven for three and a half years, in fact, He had many more, but He had a closer relationship with Peter and John. Now, with all the people there, Jesus looks at His disciples and begins to teach them what it means to be blessed.

[Matthew 5:3-8 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.]

[Blessed are the pure in heart:] Only the pure in heart see God for they see Him through His Son. The pure in heart believe every word of God to be true, and while they may not understand everything within it, they do understand that life is only through the Saviour. Let me tell you, We will be hated for our faith, even until the day God brings us home, but we have much more awaiting us, and once we get to heaven, all of the suffering we face will be forgotten, [Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for the gift of my salvation, I know that it is not by my own works that I am saved from condemnation, but by the finished work of Your spotless Son, who died, was buried, and arose from the grave three days later who not only saves me from an eternity in hell, He assures me that I have everlasting life through my faith alone in Him. Lord, lead me and guide me, walk with me and teach me how to live the life that Jesus walked, and to be a testimony of His life in me. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
