Message: One Small Moment

Hello My Friend,

So, I had to sit in class yesterday while the instructor was trying to help two other team mates get into their systems and listen to these fools talking about tarot cards. There is one woman who seems to think she is the instructor, asking if it was okay to do a reading for the class every morning. Several people complied, then proceeded to make a comment about not being offended if we did not want to this. All I kept thinking was that it was perfectly fine for this woman talk about this, but if I talked about Jesus, then I would probably get kicked out of the class. How fitting that we are reading these chapters for today, then this passage came to mind.

[Acts 17:23-2430-31  For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.  24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  31  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.]

When I heard these people talking I literally asked God why He has me in this class of heathens. They really have no idea what or who they are worshiping. And I will tell you what, it has Satan written all over it, which they are also oblivious to. These fools are so barren in their soul that they are literally searching for anything that that living water and the bread that only Christ can give them, but they so ignorant. All I can hear are the words of Jesus saying, [Matthew 25:41b  Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:]

[Barren; Sterile; unfruitful; not fertile; producing little or no crop; destitute of sentiment,] Dead souls are so destitute of life that they will literally snatch anything they can get to give it to them. Unfortunately, way too many end up falling into the traps of these evil spirits that give a form of life, but will only send them straight to hell if they do not get away from them. However, there are a few who do find life, and it is the everlasting and eternal life that only Jesus can give them. This is not something new, the people that were here before Jesus came here in the flesh and gave His life for them too knew that He was coming to save them. As we continue through Isaiah, we are told by the LORD Himself that He was coming to give life to the barren.

[Isaiah 54:1,37  Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. 3  For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.  4  Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.  5  For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.  6  For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.  7  For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.]

[for more are the children of the desolate] This is the same thing that Jesus was talking about when He said, [Matthew 9:12b-13  They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.  13  But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.]

[For thy Maker is thine husband;] God reminds us that He is our Maker, and has created everything for Himself and He will do what He will with His creation. We must understand that while God does give us all the freewill to choose that not stop Him from doing what He will with them, including those who choose to turn against Him, and that included Satan himself.

[Isaiah 54:10-13,16-17  For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.  11  O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.  12  And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.  13  And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 16  Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.  17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.]

[and I have created the waster to destroy.] I always say that if God is going to use me that I rather it be as a vessel of honor than dishonor. [Romans 9:21-22  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?  22  What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:] We really do not realize this, but God keeps the devil around for one reason only, and that is to destroy the evil and gather His believers together before that day comes. Right now, He literally has these angels that are in chains awaiting the day of judgment. God is the one who gives life and He is also the one who takes it, [2 Peter 2:4,9  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 9  The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:]

[and their righteousness is of me] If we have called on the LORD, Jesus Christ as our Saviour, fully trusting in Him alone for our salvation, then we belong to Him. We are not perfect by a long shot, and mess up more times than we count, but we are His, our righteousness comes from Him alone. Dead souls have no protection whatsoever, once their body dies it is sent straight to hell. We must understand that Jesus never denies anyone who comes to Him, even if they once worship false gods, it is about who they trust in before they die. Those who end up in hell had every opportunity to come to know Christ themselves, He literally does call out to them.

[Isaiah 55:1-4,6-8  Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.  2  Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.  3  Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.  4  Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. 6  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.]

[and let your soul delight itself in fatness.] When we come to Christ, and accept Him as our Saviour that is when His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, gives life to our soul, He quenches its thirst and feeds its desolate belly. Dead souls better open their eyes, and seek Him while He may still be found, He is literally calling out to them because the day will come that they when they do find Him, He will not answer them, [Luke 13:25  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:]

[For my thoughts are not your thoughts,] Each and every one of us is a beautiful soul, God does not see us as a color, race, shape, or size, we are a beautiful soul that He has created, take away our skin and we are all flesh, blood, and water. We may not understand why God gave some souls bodies that are skinny, obese, lame, deaf, blind, or otherwise, but we can understand that He created us all. Regardless of what we look like in the outside, we are born with dead souls because we are born sinners, and for that reason we need a Saviour to save our beautiful soul. Through Isaiah, God reminds us that He will save all who come to Him.

[Isaiah 56:1-5,8  Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.  2  Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.  3  Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.  4  For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;  5  Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 8  The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.]

[Neither let the son of the stranger,]God is referring to those who are not Jews here, He is telling them that no matter who comes to Him, if they put their faith and trust in His Son to save them, them they are His people. Do you see how God sees every person as a soul that needs to be saved? It does not matter if you are the president, the pope, the wealthiest person on the planet or the poorest person, Christ sees everyone as the same, a soul that needs to be saved. [I will give them an everlasting name,] Those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Saviour receive an everlasting name, they are Christians, []

The world seeks everything that goes against what God stands for, immorality, idolatry, and witchcraft, are to name a few. Through Isaiah, God explains a rather touchy subject, death, and why the righteous, meaning His faithful who are saved sometimes die before their time, [Isaiah 57:1-4,13  The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.  2  He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.  3  But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.  4  Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood, 13  When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;]

[none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil] Those precious babies that die in the hands of the ones God trusted them with. Those precious people that die in the hands of the thugs. We may not understand death, but sometimes God uses it to keep His people from being caught up in something that is much worse to come. We might get weary, and we might get tired in this life, but never give up hope, one day, all of this will be over and we will be forever with Jesus. He will take us away from every bit of evil, even death. [Revelation 21:4,7-8  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Isaiah 54:5  For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. Isaiah 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 56:8  The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. Isaiah 57:19  I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.]

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, It is comforting and sometimes quite overwhelming to comprehend Your love for us, no matter how many times we mess up, how many times our faith lacks, or we want to give up on this life, You never leave nor forsake us. You do not limit Your love to just a few, You call everyone and accept all that believe in Your sinless death, burial, and resurrection as the only thing needed to be redeemed and know Your Father. Lord, since we are all work in progress, lead us and guide us, keep us close to You so we can endure every trial that comes our way. Let us trust in You alone and not our circumstances, trusting that Your ways are much higher than our own. I love You Jesus and pray this in Your name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
