Message: Forgive The Fool

Hello My Friend,

As I am reading the chapters for today and meditating on these Proverbs, so many things come to mind, the sluggard, the wicked, anger, bitterness, those who are void of understanding. I keep thinking about what Jesus said on the cross as He watched the people mocking Him, ripping up His clothes and gambling for a piece of cloth, [Luke 23:33-34  And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.  34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.]

Forgiveness is not something that comes easy for us, it truly does come from Jesus as we certainly do not have it in our own hearts to forgive those who wronged us or someone we love. Betrayal, deceit, abuse, lying, denial, these are all things that imprison us, and even the strongest Christian can be imprisoned by them. We must understand that God never says to forget what they have done to us, even though He does forgive and forget our transgressions, but we must forgive them, otherwise, God will not forgive us for our sins, [Matthew 6:14-15  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:  15  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.]

Reading through the Proverbs always manages to open your eyes, convict your heart, and remind you that while the righteous do suffer from the natural evils in the world due to the curse of sin passed down to all of us, it is only temporary. The wicked on the other hand, will do more than suffer in this life eventually, they will famish.

[Proverbs 10:2-6  Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.  3  The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.  4  He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.  5  He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.  6  Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.]

[The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish:] [Famish; To kill by deprivation or denial of any thing necessary for life.] The soul of the righteous is not the one that is arrogant, justifying their sin for the sake of their salvation. The soul of the righteous is not the one that is full of pride, thinking they have no sin. The soul of the righteous is the sinner who gets down on their knees every single day, thanking Jesus for saving their soul, who knows that with Him they have no life, not in this time of their life, nor the next. We must not confuse righteous judgment, which God sends upon all His children, with mans judgment. Mans judgment is cruel, often filled with hate, and has absolutely nothing to do with any suffering they faced, but by jealousy and envy toward those who overcame their own adversity. They want what we have, but the truth is, they know they will never have what we have because they are void of understanding.

[Proverbs 10:8-13  The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.  9  He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.  10  He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.  11  The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.  12  Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.  13  In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.]

[but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.] [Void; Destitute; Empty; To make or leave vacant.] Now, hatred toward those who wrong us only leads to our own lack of judgment, and suffering, but love, meaning Christ’s love, truly does cover all sins. As for the rod, the punishment or chastisement given to the wicked, it will be their own destruction upon themselves. The ones who are void of understanding are the ones who crucified Jesus, the ones who set fire to buildings, and the ones threaten to kill people who are of a different color. The ones who are void of understanding are the ones crying for handouts, but too lazy to work.

[Proverbs 10:22-26  The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.  23  It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.  24  The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.  25  As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.  26  As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.]

[so is the sluggard to them that send him.] [Sluggard; A person habitually lazy, idle and inactive; a drone.] Let me tell you, no one wants to help out or even employ someone who is, simply put, a drone. We all know what drone does, it hovers over and captures pictures or videos of what people are doing, it cannot do anything, except for what it is programmed to do. Jesus said, [Matthew 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.] Jesus will save your soul, and the only thing you need to do for Him to save it is to admit that you are a sinner, and that hell is the punishment for sin, to believe that He died to save you from hell, and to confess to Him that you need Him, then ask Him to forgive, and save you. You cannot force Him, you cannot threaten Him, and you certainly cannot bribe Him, He will not save one sluggard who does not come to Him.

[Proverbs 11:1-5,8  A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.  2  When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.  3  The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.  4  Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.  5  The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.  8  The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.]

[A false balance is abomination to the LORD:] [False; Not true; not conformable to fact; Balance; An impartial state of the mind, in deliberating; or a just estimate of the reasons and arguments on both sides of a question, which gives to each its due weight, or force and importance.] You cannot believe that Jesus will save you from hell and not believe that He is capable of taking care of everything else in your life. The Bible says, [James 1:8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.] This includes our faith and ability to not only seek the forgiveness from God of our every sin, (yes, we do hold on to some of those sins as though God will not forgive them} but the forgiveness of others as well. If you learn anything through this message today, please understand that forgiveness in our own ability will never happen. In order for us to be able to forgive them we need to be in the grace and love of Christ. And keep in mind also, that we need to ask God to forgive them, for they really do not know what they are doing. Does this next passage of Proverbs not speak for itself?

[Proverbs 11:10-17  When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.  11  By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.  12  He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.  13  A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.  14  Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.  15  He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.  16  A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.  17  The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.]

[and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.] Do all the riots in the streets make any sense now? Let me tell you, the shouting, the riots, the hatred toward those of another color or race has nothing to do with grief, love, or compassion over a loved one that was wrong. It is over the fact that someone wicked finally got caught up with and now the rest of them want to take it out on those who were never played a part in any of it. And know this also, they will all bring destruction upon themselves. Why do you think they have not ended yet? God knows that He is doing, He is protecting His own while He is allowing them to suffer in their own evils.

[Proverbs 11:19-21,24-25  As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.  20  They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.  21  Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. 24  There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.  25  The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.]

[They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD:] [Froward; Perverse, that is, turning from, with aversion or reluctance; not willing to yield or comply with what is required.] Is it all starting to make sense now? It is an abomination to God to be reluctant or unwilling to do what is required of Him, above all is receiving Christ. I will tell you that I am angry right now because someone that I love refuses to read the Bible and is not willing to even listen to His Word, even though he is saved. Nothing I say or do encourages him, and that hurts me more than it angers me only because I worry of his froward heart. I tell him all the time how merciful God has been, but there is a limit even for us if we do not listen to God. Remember the salt? It works the same way. Salvation is not about works and neither is keeping our salvation through them, but remember the salt, if it loses its savor, God will bring us home before our time, [2 Corinthians 2:15-17  For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:  16  To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?  17  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.]

You know, there also something else that the sluggard does besides being a drone, they are greedy, they want everything, and take whatever they can get for free, of course, at the expense of those who are working. Does the stimulus ring a bell? Now, while we all benefited from those one time checks to help us pay bills or get the things we needed while our incomes were low, there are many who are still collecting money, being the drones that they are and hording everything for themselves. God will give us everything we need, and will provide for us though hardships even more, but at some point we need to make an effort.

[Proverbs 11:26-31  He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.  27  He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.  28  He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.  29  He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.  30  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.  31  Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.]

[but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.] While we are more blessed to give, we are just as blessed to sell what we have. This means that not everything is free, we need to work, we need to run businesses and get jobs, or we simply will not eat. Oh, and by the way, it may be required to forgive them, but it is not required to be with them, in fact, God does not want us around them at all.

[2 Thessalonians 3:6-11  Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.  7  For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;  8  Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:  9  Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.  10  For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.  11  For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.]

And there you have it, the busybodies. And this is exactly why our country is in such a mess right now. The majority of people who are taunting free money, free healthcare, free phones, free homes, free food, are the very people who are disorderly, busybodies not working at all. They also are the first to taunt gun control, abortion, and open borders. And just how well is that working as a society? Society has lost their morals, there is no such thing as integrity anymore, it is all about feeding the lusts of the flesh as fast as they can, without having a conscious to convict them of their actions. Get it together people, stop being a sluggard and depending on the government for help, start trusting God, and being diligent about taking care of your own welfare, [Hebrews 6:9-12  But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.  10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  11  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:  12  That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Proverbs 10:27  The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for making is simple to be saved, we just need to believe in and trust Your Son as our Saviour in order to be saved from the punishment of sin. Your mercies, grace, and forgiveness are endless for Your faithful, You promise to forgive and even forget every sin, but even that is dependent upon our being forgiving to others as well. Now, while you do not tell us to forget, You do tell us that we are forgive, and I know that forgiveness is only something that can happen through You. Lord, Lead us and guide us, forgive us where we have failed You, forgive those whom have wronged us, for they know not what they do. Give us the heart of Jesus to forgive them. Let us not become void of understanding, become as the sluggard, or be in the company of those who are. Fill us with Your mercy, grace, strength, and the power of Christ to be diligent and resting in full assurance of our faith until You bring us home. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
