Message: To Be Satisfied

Hello My Friend,

A couple of weeks ago, I had six bad reviews that had my name attached to it, whether I took care of the customer’s needs, failed to take care of their needs, or someone else failed them. For a while it really bothered me, I mean you do your very best to address the needs of the people and it does not matter how much you have done to please them, they are never satisfied. That is the question they are given, “Where you satisfied?” Then after the forth one, God pointed out something to me, it is not me they are not satisfied with, they are not satisfied with themselves. Every time I see one bad review it reminds me of why we are saved by grace and not of our own works. We will never be good enough to satisfy God in our own righteousness, all it takes is a thought of doing something sinful and we are back to square one. Jesus made satisfying God possible for us by giving His own life.

[John 10:15-18  As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.  16  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.  17  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.  18  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.]

Jesus sacrificed His own life, He suffered and died on the cross a sinless death in order for us to be able to come to the Father and He be satisfied. He also had the power to take His life back, which is what He did three days later when He resurrected. Jesus has all the power to give and take life, and He can do that because He is God, and even then in His fleshly form as the Son of man, He still remains subject to the Father as we all should be. I Chronicles also gives an account the victories David had in subduing and even getting nations to serve him, and how David dedicated his victories to God.

[I Chronicles 18:9-14  Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;  10  He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.  11  Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.  12  Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.  13  And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David’s servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.  14  So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.]

[and executed judgment and justice among all his people.] Judgment, meaning righteous judgment. Justice, meaning, giving to every one what is his due. Not one of us really gets what we deserve, the freedoms, the provisions, the protections, the salvation, for we all come short of being without sin. Thankfully, that is where Jesus comes in, His perfect sacrifice gave us a way to keep us from getting what we deserve, [Romans 3:22-24  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:  23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:]

David’s victories were also based on the fact that it did not matter how many nations he defeated he still cried out to God in humility, [Psalms 60:1,4-12  To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. 4  Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.  5  That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.  6  God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.  7  Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;  8  Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.  9  Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?  10  Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?  11  Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.  12  Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.]

[Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee,] That banner that displays across each and every honest and sincere soul that receives Jesus Christ as their Saviour is Christ’s own blood. I have been having some heal concerns since March, I have been very lethargic and moody, among other things. After all this time and trying one thing after another to give me my life back I discovered that my iron levels were depleted, my body was not producing enough blood to keep it functioning correctly. And let me tell you, it is definitely true that life is in the blood, it is even more alive with the blood of Christ upon our soul. I call our salvation as our soul receiving an instant blood transfusion, [I Peter 1:18-19  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:]

Let me tell you, it is a good that our salvation is not based on our works, it never has been. Since Jesus is the giver and taker of life, He has the power to grant salvation to the vilest of sinners and deny it to the chiefest of worldly saints. How? It is all about our faith in the LORD. It is the vilest sinner that humbles themselves to Christ, and it is the chiefest of worldly saints that think their own works are good enough to save themselves. God reminds us through the Psalms that it was never about the sacrifices, it was the faith.

[Psalms 50:8-15  I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.  9  I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.  10  For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.  11  I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.  12  If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.  13  Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?  14  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:  15  And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.]

[And call upon me in the day of trouble:] All who call upon Christ are delivered from the ultimate judgment. Do you understand that the second you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour you make a covenant with Him by His sacrifice? When we admitted that we are a sinner, believed in the Gospel of Christ, and have accepted Him as our Saviour alone we were delivered from hell. We are not human sacrifices, Jesus bought and paid for our souls with His blood so we do not have to be, but we are living sacrifices, or we ought to be, until He brings us home to Him, [Romans 12:1-2  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.]

God’s acceptance of us has never been about never sinning, He knows we are incapable of doing that while we are in our flesh, it is about believing in and accepting His Word. Naturally, if we walking with Christ and getting in His Word, then His words are going to sink and we will do them. And it all starts with Christ, if we question one word of the Gospel then you will not be accepted by God and He will reject you for rejecting now obeying His Word, [Psalms 50:17-23  Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.  18  When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.  19  Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.  20  Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.  21  These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.  22  Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.  23  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.]

[lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.] And this is why God has not destroyed the whole earth yet, if He eliminated everyone who is guilty of sin, then there would be no one left. Those who reject God question His existence because of His rules and the evils in the world. Let me tell you, God is not to blame for the evils, man is. Yes, since creation, Satan and those who follow in his footsteps are to blame for the evils in this world. And this is exactly why Jesus calls those who follow Satan as his children, they literally act like him.

[Psalms 53:1-5  To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.  2  God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.  3  Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.  4  Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.  5  There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.]

[because God hath despised them.] Yes, God may have created all, but He will despise all who reject Him, even though He knows they will when they are born. Children of men are those who know God exists, and yet reject or out right deny His existence, a great example is Satan, he certainly knows God exists, that he was created by him as well, and that salvation is through Christ alone, but he is a reprobate, that is someone beyond the hope of salvation because they refuse to submit to God. Until we acknowledge Christ, and accept Him for who He is, we are children of men, and of the devil, it is only when we choose Christ, and receive Him as our Saviour that we become children of God or in other words, believers.

[John 8:43-47  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.  44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  45  And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.  46  Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?  47  He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.]

The trials we go through as Christians do not always come from disobedience, it is often used to show Christ through our faith and endurance of them. Of course, we do not like to suffer needlessly, but it is actually the suffering that brings us to depend on God more. David comes to realize that, it is more blessed to be approached for God than have it easy all the time.

[Psalms 65:1-7  To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.  2  O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.  3  Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.  4  Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.  5  By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:  6  Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:  7  Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.]

[we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house,] We talked about what satisfies God, but what actually does satisfy man? Well, that depends on who’s spirit we are walking in. You see, in our flesh we will never be satisfied, we are too big, too small, too short, too tall, a different color, a different race, a different vocabulary, a different background, too poor, too rich, and yes, there is a thing as being too rich for they are ones who have everything, but never satisfied. The only way that we will be satisfied in this flesh is if we are walking in the Spirit of God, we can be poor, living in a tent and still satisfied because we have God inside us and He shows us how to be content with what we have, but never lose hope of the prize that is awaiting us.

[Galatians 5:16-18,22-25  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  17  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  18  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Psalms 50:14-15  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:  15  And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.]

Today’s Prayer: God, I know when You have brought me to a places that I do not understand, my heart wants to go one way, but You want me to stay put. I understand that You are the only one who can direct the paths for You have chosen them for me, and in time You will bless me as I walk through the curvy roads, hills, and valleys. Thank You for loving me and not giving up on me, and for Your mercy and grace to see me through. You know what is best for me, and I have to accept that Your way is the only way. Lord, I do want to live by Your Word and walk the path You have chosen for me, give me Your power, wisdom, guidance, mercy, and grace. Help me resist the temptation to do things my way, to walk down my own path, and let me lean not on my own understanding, but trust You. Put Your hedge up protection around me, give me discernment and encouragement when I am troubled. And I know I can do all things through Your Son, who is my strength. I ask these things in Your name Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
