Message: Your Irreplaceable Soul

Hello My Friend,

A lost soul really has no idea where it is going, it goes from place to place trying to find something to give it life, peace, comfort, and hope in life’s never ending uncertainties. I know this to be true because I have several diplomas, skills, and experience in things you do not even want to know about to prove it. A found soul, although it does get weary from time to time, knows where it is, it finds life the second it sees Jesus for who He truly is, not only that, peace, comfort, hope, and. As I was praying, I had to stop and write this down because for the first time in my life I discovered something, there is only one thing in this life that is irreplaceable, and that is your soul. If we die in the flesh without Christ, our soul dies, and that decision cannot be reversed, we lose our soul in hell forever. If we die with Christ, our soul lives, and that decision cannot be reversed, our soul lives forever through Christ. Praise God! That is when these verses popped in my head. “Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” – Psalm 139:5-10.

Even there shall thy hand lead me,” We have no idea where this life will take us while we are here, God will place things before us, and it will be the choices we make that determine whether or not we will suffer or be afflicted more than God intended. Yet, His hand shall lead us through every bit of it, and will never let us go. God knew that once Moses died that the children of Israel would turn to the temptations and gods of the land, and forsake Him, but that did not stop Him from making a covenant with them anyway.

These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb. And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles: Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.” – Deuteronomy 29:1-6.

beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.” This was a new covenant in addition to what He gave them on Mount Sinai forty years prior. God will never break His covenant, He will add to them, but never break them, although man will break their covenant with Him. Keep in mind that these covenants were not made with the Israelites, they were made to each individual, whether they were an Israelite or not, (Romans 2:9-11). “Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive,” Why would God keep our heart from understanding things we should know? He is preparing our heart so that will not only come to know Him, we will be faithful to Him. God wants us to come to Him willingly, and until our heart is willing to see Jesus for who He truly is, He will not reveal Him to us. I look back on my life and the times when I only knew Him through religion, and realize how lost I was. I actually needed to find the dark side of evil for my heart to see Jesus beyond just a man who died on the cross, He is the Saviour of my soul from sin, death, and hell.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” – Romans 10:5-10.

As I said earlier, these covenants were not made for just the Israelites, they were made for all who choose to dwell with them. Not all of the Israelites would enter the covenant with God, many will break it, and many who are not of the children of Israel will accept it. Moses explains just who the people of God are.

Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel, Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water: That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day: That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day: Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” – Deuteronomy 29:10-15,18,20,29.

But with him that standeth here with us” This means that God is no respecter of persons, He accepts all who come to Him willingly, with all their heart. He has never denied anyone the opportunity to be saved. Someone made a comment that God, from the time you are born, has already decided whether or not we get saved. I do not agree with that. Does He know who will receive His Son? Of course, He does. Yet, He gives us all the freewill to chose. No soul is born without having the opportunity to know Christ. In fact, we are all predestined to be saved, (Romans 8:29-30). However, not every soul is saved because of something we call freewill, the right to choose. This goes back to the heart, and God will keep a heart hard that is foolish, such as one like Satan, (Romans 1:18-25). “and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.” God will not save one soul that does not accept the Gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ. This is a decision we must make while we have our breath in us. Our life is irreplaceable, our soul is irreplaceable, if it dies before we know Christ as our Saviour, it will be blotted out of heaven, (Revelation 20:12-15). “but those things which are revealed belong unto us” God did not give His Word to the unbelievers, skeptics, and God wannabe’s, He gave it to His people so they know how He wants us to live the best life we can live, with minimal suffering. Moses explains this.

For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” – Deuteronomy 30:11-19.

it is not hidden from thee,” The Gospel is not hid from anyone, all have the opportunity to find Christ. Those who refuse to see it have chose from the heart that they would not believe no matter what anyone tells them. Christ did not come here to save those who are too proud to admit they need Him, He came here to save those who admit they are sinners and need Him alone to save their souls. Yes, God does know us, even in our mother’s womb, and He knows everything single thing we will get into, yet, we are still precious to Him.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!” – Psalm 139:13-17.

It is the few and faithful that God uses to keep His Word going strong, He appoints people of all walks of life to preach and teach His Word. Moses gives some instructions and encouragement to Joshua, who God chose to lead the people into the promise land.

And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle. And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.” – Deuteronomy 31:7-8,15-18.

and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land,” How would you like to hear of what is to come of your family once you die? It is a sad truth that we who are faithful are the only ones who keep some people faithful. This is why it is important that we teach the next generation what we know, I only hope that I will be able to find a replacement to continue in the work that God gave me to do. “and I will hide my face from them,” And by the way, God will not look down from heaven and just watch His people living in sin, they will suffer in their sin until they either repent of it, or have suffered so much that He brings them home prematurely. “Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” – I Corinthians 3:13-17.

Today’s Prayer: God, There truly is one thing in this life that is irreplaceable, and that is our soul, we may be able to replace things on our body to prolong life, but our soul can never be replaced. If we were to die today, not know Jesus as our Saviour it will be in hell. You love us too much to see any soul end up in hell, which is why You sent Your Son. You knew us from our mother’s womb, yet being imperfect Your thoughts are always precious toward us. Thank You for Your mercy and grace to never leave nor forsake us, the second we believe in Your Son, and accept Him as our Saviour. Lord, Open our hearts to perceive what You have to show us, help us to know Your will and follow it so we can receive the blessings You have waiting for us. Give us courage and Your power to speak Your truths boldly, let us never walk in fear, but in the love and strength that Christ brings. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
