Message: Rejoice In God’s Judgments

Hello My Friend,

Saved, born again Christians, and even many of other faiths, can see the splendor of our Creator just by looking up into the heavens. And that is where is stops, people of other faiths may believe in the Almighty God, but very few are willing to admit they need Christ. And sadly, many Christian based faiths are also leaning toward this ideology that there are other ways to salvation besides Jesus Christ. Do you know why? No one wants to end up being judged by God. They buy into this ideology that they can be justified through their faith in whatever they choose God to be. Let me tell you, our Almighty God may be merciful, but He is also just, which means He will judge all, we need to accept that while God loves all, that love also includes judgment of the just.

A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD. For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.” – Psalm 97:3-9.

and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments,” No one likes to face judgment, but it too is part of how Christ separates us from religion, the world, and doing what is right in our own eyes. Yes, before we know Christ as our Saviour we did what was right in our own eyes, perhaps we grew up in religion or made up our own conclusion what to believe. I admit that I too fell into the ideology of other paths to heaven, as it was what my religion taught. It is not until I got saved, and in the Word of God that I started to move away from my own understanding, and toward God’s truths. We are to never question God’s judgments, while we may wonder why He has mercy on some and not on others, if we saw it through God’s eyes we would truly understand. In fact, He makes it easy for us to understand, the problem is that they do not want to accept the truth.

O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.” – Psalm 98:1-4,9.

The LORD hath made known his salvation:” God spells it out as clear as the day, not one gets into His kingdom unless it is through His Son, period. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12.

We can rejoice in God’s judgments because they are just and make our heart pure as we learn to fear Him. David had his share of judgments placed upon him, but he was still loved by God. As David comes to the end of his life he remembers just how merciful God was to him.

Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain. Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow. But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands: But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.” – II Samuel 23:1-7.

He that ruleth over men must be just,Just; Upright; honest; influenced by a regard to the laws of God; or living in exact conformity to the divine will. It does not matter if we are ruling a country,. A business, or a house, we must be just, therefore, we can expect that God will judge His people so we remain honest, upright, and influenced through His Word. Let me tell you, it does not matter how strong our faith, how long we have been saved, or even how much we understand His Word, we are not always in His will and will mess up from time to time. Once again, David finds himself in a mess as he decides to number all of Israel.

And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah. And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.” – II Samuel 24:1,10,13-16.

and he moved David against them to say,This was more than just David sinning against God by numbering the people, although this was part of it, there was something else going on as well. We will read about this again in I Chronicles, and it says that Satan provoked David to number the people. You know, Satan does not have as much power as you think, he can only act as God allows him, and for some reason God was angry at Israel before David numbered them. Perhaps it was their rebelling against David when they tried to make Absalom king, nevertheless, He was angry enough that He allowed the devil to put it in David’s head to number the people. the LORD repented him of the evil,” You see, God stopped the death angel from killing anymore once he got to Jerusalem. We can think of Jerusalem as a city of refuge, while we certainly are sinners, our faith in Christ stops the death of our soul. “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” – John 5:28-29.

they that have done good,These are those who received Christ as their Saviour, our good works only count after we are saved. Why? Jesus gave His sinless life as a sacrifice to save all who come to Him, who is the only way to God, and salvation. Anyone who believes in this are good, but those who do not are considered evil. Why? This is God’s judgment upon all who refuse to believe that Christ is the only way, and being ignorant to this does not excuse them. Everyone born on this earth is born with the knowledge of God, and unless they are reprobates, will be introduced to Christ one way or another, and when they face Him they will see the many times they had the chance to receive Him, but did not. It is sad to think that we have loved ones in hell because they believed the lies, and let me tell you, there is a special place in hell for all who led them astray (II Peter 2:1-9). David had to make the difficult decision on what the judgment will be, and was sickened by so many people losing their lives over something he did. He begged for God to stop, and judge him instead of the innocent.

And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite. And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people. And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood. All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee. And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.” – II Samuel 24:18.21-25.

Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price:Salvation is never free, there is always a price that comes with it. Jesus paid the price of our sin debt on the cross, He replaced the need for endless animal sacrifices and ceremonies for temporary redemption, and made it permanent when He sacrificed His own life to save all who believe in and receive Him as their Saviour. Yes, Jesus died to save all. No, Jesus does not save all because in order for Him to save all they must believe that He their only way to salvation. This is God’s law, and it cannot be altered, they can try to come up with other versions that hide the truth, but the truth will always come out, and they will only have themselves to blame for believing the lies over the truth. “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:7-8.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.” – II Samuel 24:24.

Today’s Prayer: God, Every day I am amazed that no matter how many mistakes I make You still love me, You have not forsaken me, and I still have a place in heaven with You. Your judgments are true and just, and we should rejoice in them because they are what conform us into an image that resembles Your Son. Thank You God for everything You do for me, whether times are good or bad, happy or sad, You are always there guiding me in the right direction. Lord, lead me and guide me, keep me in Your Word, learning, understanding, and conforming to Your Son until You bring me home. Let my life be an example of not only Your mercies and grace, but of Your righteous judgments that keep me out of Satan’s hands and in Your will. In Jesus Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
