Message: God Will Provide

Hello My Friend,

Provision; the providing or supplying of food or other necessities. One of the amazing things about God is that He always provides for His children, we may not have the best cuts of meat or live in a mansion, but when we put our faith and trust in Him He will supply our need. Here is the key, trust Him, God will use people to help us, but we must trust Him first, putting our trust in man will always lead to poverty, putting our trust in God will lead to prosperity. “Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:17-19.

Prosperity is not always about having lots of money or possessions, it is about having our needs met, being happy and content with what God has given us, but always looking forward to what He has awaiting us for our faithfulness. When Jacob discovered that Joseph was alive, of course, he immediately wanted to see his son, but the Pharaoh did more than that, he arranged to have the entire family join them in Egypt while the famine was in the land. Jacob packed up sixty-six children and grand children and headed for Egypt.

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.” – Genesis 46:1-5.

I will go down with thee into Egypt; As Christians, it is much easier to face the famines in life knowing that God is walking with us rather than face them on our own. I spent a good part of about seven years myself living day by day my daily bread, I had to learn to trust God completely with supplying my needs, and while I did ask when things will turn around quite often, He never failed and giving me everything I needed. “If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Luke 12:28-30.

No matter what journey God takes us on He never leaves us, the second we accept Christ as our Saviour we become His, and He sticks by His promise to never leave nor forsake us. At times it may look like He is no where to be found, but that is when He is preparing us for our greatest hour yet, it is during the famines that we must learn to trust only Him. When Jacob arrived in Egypt he was not only reunited with his son, Pharaoh also met with him and gave them a city to dwell in until the famine subsided.

Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh. And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.” – Genesis 47:1-3,10-12.

And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren,When we put our faith in God He will use other nations to bless us, that does not mean we are to be joined in with them and be like them, but that we are to let His light shine through us. Now, the famine is hitting hard, both the Egyptians and Israelites, soon found out that money and possessions could not do anything for them during a famine. However, no one put their faith in God, instead they sold everything they had, even themselves, to Pharaoh just to get food.

When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.” – Genesis 47:18-20,23-25.

so the land became Pharaoh’s.” The key to being prosperous is to wait patiently for God, and that is where a lot of us fall, I have. If we are not careful and put our trust in man, or the government we will become enslaved to them. Many Christians are too quick to sell ourselves out because they are looking at their circumstances rather than what God can provide them with. Instead of worrying about tomorrow it is time take one day at a time with God leading the way, it is good to dream big, but we must also learn to be content with what we have right now. “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:11-13.

Jesus Christ Magnified: Jesus is revealed through Joseph, who was placed second only to Pharaoh to preserve life. Jesus preserves the life of every soul who believes in and receives Him. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

Today’s Prayer: God, You have placed us on a journey of faith where we learn to trust You for all that we have need of, for the present and the future, in our relationships, our health, our provisions and our spiritual needs. I’m so glad I learned to trust You with my life, now, help me learn to trust You in every area of my life, through all the circumstances I face, even when things look hopeless, I know You are there and will always take care of me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
