Message: God Will Not Be Mocked

Hello My Friend,

Did you ever notice that those who openly live in sin are quick to point out others sin, or the assumption of sin? They literally compare their sin to others as to say what they are doing is justified since we are all guilty of sin. Well, we may all be guilty of sin, but that does not mean that our salvation is just cause to live in sin. While God is so merciful and forgiving when we come to Him in sincere confession and repentance, He will not be mocked.

[Galatians 6:6-9  Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.  7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  8  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.]

Let me tell you, thousands of people preach or teach about God’s Word daily, I am one of them, the sad thing is that the majority have no clue as to what they are teaching. In fact, they are mocking God by teaching lies. Now, I am not perfect, and I do not understand everything I read, but at least I am reading from the authentic, infallible, written word of God. As we return to the Book of Isaiah, we learn the importance of those who teach the Word of God being mature and obedient in the Word themselves.

[Isaiah 28:9-13  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.  10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:  11  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.  12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.  13  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.]

[that they might go, and fall backward,] It is a known fact that until we hit rock bottom we are not able to understand the importance of receiving Christ as our Saviour and living our lives in obedience to God’s Word. Through Isaiah, God continues addressing this issue, giving a little more insight into the one with the stammering lips and another tongue would speak His Word.

[Isaiah 28:15-18  Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:  16  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.  17  Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.  18  And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.]

[Judgment also will I lay to the line,] Judgment; the spirit of wisdom and prudence, enabling a person to discern right and wrong, good and evil. God designed His Word so that those who do believe it can discern it, no ordinary person will be able to discern it because He blinds those who mock and discredit it of understanding what it is all about. There was an age, called the dark ages, and for four hundred years God was silent, He kept Himself hid from everyone, including the prophets, all they had was His Word to guide them. Through Isaiah, God foretells of the deep sleep of His Spirit upon all.

[Isaiah 29:10-13  For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.  11  And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:  12  And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.  13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:]

[but have removed their heart far from me,] This is the very condition of the ones who are living in sin and attempting to justify their actions by saying they love God and Christ. Okay, we are all sinners and those who accept Christ as Saviour are saved by grace alone through their faith in Him alone, but there is a difference between those who are faithful and repentant and those who are merely appearing to be. God will not be mocked, He will forgive us all day long if we are sincerely repentant, but He will not listen to us if we are not, [Revelation 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.]

While God’s Word is settled in heaven forever and cannot change, His Word will get more distorted as the world gets more corrupt and it will continue until it diminishes all together. You think God does not know who is teaching truths and who is not? Of course He does, and He will let everyone what is coming to them for doing so. Through Isaiah God warns Jerusalem about the judgment that would be placed upon them for ignoring the true Word of God, but reveals something else too.

[Isaiah 30:1,12-15  Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 12  Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:  13  Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.  14  And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.  15  For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.]

[that they may add sin to sin:] This is a prime example of what living in sin is, they add sin to sin, and are not at all remorseful of what they are doing. Well, let me tell you, they do know what they are doing is wrong, which is why they get so defensive, attempt to expose others sin, and in fact, find churches who accept their sin rather than rebuke it. You see, if they think their sin is covered then they would not feel that guilt, but deep down they know they are wrong and it will kill them inside until they either sincerely repent or die in their sin, [Revelation 3:2-3  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.  3  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.]

God is not addressing the world here, He is addressing those who know Him, and in many cases have gotten saved. They refuse to accept all of His Word as truth, or that it pertains to them as well as Israel, make up their own versions, and call it His Word, and refuse to address the consequences of sin for the sake of not offending people. Let me tell you, this world is full of whiny crybabies who get offended if you look at them the wrong way. God is going to chasten His people when they sin, sometimes we are going to get chastened for something we did not even do, but chastening is a way to get our hearts right and keep us grounded in Jesus while we wait for Him to either return or bring us home. Through Isaiah, God reminds us that the wait will be worth it.

[Isaiah 30:18-21  And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.  19  For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.  20  And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:  21  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.]

[blessed are all they that wait for him.] Believe it or not, affliction is the best way that God can keep us faithful, repentant, and obedient. We are going to mess up thousands of times before God brings us home, as long as we are faithful, waiting on His promise, then His mercy and grace will never depart from us. God will not be mocked, His mercy and grace will endure forever for those who are faithful, and come to Him in sincere repentance, but He will cut it short, just like He did with Israel if we continue with no remorse whatsoever, [Revelation 3:18-20  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.  20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You, for fulfilling Your promise to give salvation by grace through our faith alone in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Your judgment is true and righteous, and Your mercy and grace are endless for those who accept Christ as their Saviour. However, You will not be mocked, You will not stand for a life of sin with no hint of repentance. Lord, Lead us and guide us, open our heart, ears, and eyes to Your Word, fill us with Your mercies, grace, forgiveness, as we learn and obey Your Word. Search our hearts, know our thoughts, see if their be any wicked way in us, and lead us in the way that is everlasting. Remove from us the desires of our flesh and replace it with the fruit that yields an abundance as we draw near to You, and grow in the likeness of Your Son. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
