Message: For The Love of God

Hello My Friend,

Love; To be pleased with; to regard with affection, on account of some qualities which excite pleasing sensations or desire of gratification. To have benevolence or good will for. An affection of the mind excited by beauty and worth of any kind, or by the qualities of an object which communicate pleasure, sensual or intellectual. Another word for love is charity, of all the gifts given to us none of them are more important than love. “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.” – I Corinthians 13:4-8.

When we choose to follow God He takes is personally, His love for man is so deep that He gave His life to save every soul. However, not every soul will be saved because He does not force anyone to follow Him, that is what freewill is all about, and let me tell you, choosing God comes with the greatest blessings we can ever get on earth, but is also comes with a commitment. If we are going to say that we want Him in our lives He expects us to live in a way that not only shows that we belong to Him, but that He belongs to us too. The most important thing is admitting we are sinners and accepting that He died to save us from our sins. Think about what Israel or anyone who chose God had to do in order to be forgiven of their sin and reconcile with God. God instructs Moses on the sacrificial offerings and how they were to present them to Him to be forgiven of their trespasses.

And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin. And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering. Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin offering. And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.– Leviticus 5:6-13.

and it shall be forgiven him:Do you see the pattern here, God allowed them to offer whatever they could afford, lambs, goats, turtledoves, pigeons, even vegetables and grains if it was all they had. The key is confession, we must admit our sin and then present our offering to Him. The problem was that while their sins were forgiven they were not removed, but Jesus changed all that by one sacrifice, Himself. Now, all we have to do to be saved is believe in Christ and receive Him as our Saviour. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” – Romans 10:9-10.

We can truly say that if we love God we accept His Son, Jesus proved His love for us by becoming not only the sin sacrifice, but the peace offering and the wave offering. Jesus made it easy, He was perfect, and lived a sin free life so that we did not have to worry about perfection, but they did not have Jesus in the flesh at that time so they had to do what God wanted them to do to get right with Him. No one was exempt from this law, and it was to be followed exactly as God instructed. Now, God gives the instructions on how the anointed priest was to accept and prepare the offerings, first with the meat offering, this was grain.

And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar. And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the memorial of it, unto the LORD. And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it. It shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering. All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.” – Leviticus 6:14-18.

every one that toucheth them shall be holy. The second Jesus touches us we are holy, we can stand before God because He no longer sees our sin, He sees His blood. Even those who live for God sin, we are not perfect nor will we be, that means we have to seek forgiveness too. God instructs Moses on how the priests were to give their offerings to God and get right with Him even before they could do His work.

In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar. And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards, And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away: And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a trespass offering. Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy. As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.” – Leviticus 7:2-7.

Every male among the priests shall eat thereof:This is interesting because Jesus said, “Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” – John 6:54-56. The trespass offering was unlike any other offering, and it applied to all, even the holiest of men, it was used to make an atonement, to save a person guilty of sin from the punishment of death. Today, we still need a trespass offering, but thank God Jesus made that way permanent. Not by our own righteousness can we be saved, but by the righteousness and perfect sacrifice of Christ. By the way, this pertains to women as well as men. God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us, this Valentine’s Day, give some love back to Jesus by telling someone about Him. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” – Romans 5:8-11. Praise God!

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.” – Leviticus 6:6-7.

Today’s Prayer: God, You could have very well kept the laws of the Jews in order for us to be reconciled with You and not have to face the punishment of death, but You chose a better, a perfect way, Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for the great sacrifice You made, and for Your mercy and grace, and for Your love to save a sinner like me, I do not deserve Your gift because I know I sin every day, but I know I get to be with You because You see me through the precious blood of Your Son and not my sin. Lord, let me be a witness and give me Your power to live the life You laid out for me in a way that glorifies You and brings others to Your Son. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
