Message: Be Ready For Jesus

Hello My Friend,

I swear each year that I read Daniel it feels as though we are closer than ever to Christ’s return. This year is truly no exception, it has been the worse I have ever seen, and I grew up in Detroit so, I have seen quite a bit. As I was driving yesterday I noticed something in the clouds, it was not your typical cloud, it had an outline of a figure. I kept looking at it, and what I saw was an outline of an angel with a trumpet, no kidding. It did not take long for me to start thinking that we are getting so close to Christ’s return, especially after reading the chapters for today. We may not know the hour, but that hour is coming, and we better be ready, [I Thessalonians 5:2-6  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  4  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  5  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  6  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.]

I have a confession to make, I spent so much time the past couple of months praying for God to fix me that I have lost sight of the fact that I do not need to be fixed, I just need to get back to doing His work, and He will take care of the rest. Did you ever have a dream that seemed so real, when you woke up you swore happened? How about experiencing something that you actually dreamt? Some things are easy to believe because we see them right in front of us, since many things that exist are not seen by the human eye, they are not so easy to believe and require something we like to call faith in order to see them. God often uses dreams to communicate with people, He spoke to Daniel through several dreams regarding the end of Babylon, some of these dreams he had a hard time understanding, including this one where he saw four beasts, and a man sitting on a throne.

[Daniel 7:9-14  I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.  10  A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.  11  I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.  12  As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.  13  I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.  14  And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.]

[and the books were opened.] This is similar to the vision John had, and this is none other than Jesus Himself coming for the second time, this will be when He will establish His Kingdom, and all of His saints will join Him and serve Him during this time also. That means that the saved, born again Christians will resurrect, get their new glorified bodies, and serve Him. This is written also here in Daniel, as the angel Gabriel explains the dream.

[Daniel 7:17-18,22-26  These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.  18  But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. 22  Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.  23  Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.  24  And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.  25  And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.  26  But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.]

[The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,] The four beasts represent four world empires, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome at different times from the time of Daniel’s prophecy to the kingdom of Christ. The fourth beast is the Antichrist, he would come in the last days before Christ returns in all His glory, this would be the great tribulation. Acting solely by the power of Satan, the Antichrist will bring evil in this world to the fullest, and although he will prosper for a little while, Christ will utterly destroy him, giving the entire kingdom to His people (Revelation 17). Three years later, Daniel has another dream, this one was about a ram and a goat, and the goat was destroying everything. It was more disturbing then the last dream, God sends Gabriel again to explain the dream for him.

[Daniel 8:20-25  The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.  21  And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.  22  Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.  23  And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.  24  And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.  25  And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.]

[but he shall be broken without hand.] This is talking about a second beast, who is the false prophet, he will come shortly after the Antichrist, and cause havoc on the world. When these two beasts are on the earth it will nearly be impossible to get saved and those who do will be to their death. We do not know the hour in which all this will take place, but I can tell you right now, there are many false prophets here already, and the Antichrist is lurking about himself, just waiting for the signal from his master, but he too will be destroyed, and all Christ will do to destroy him is speak from the Word of God, [Revelation 19:19-20  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.  20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.]

Trying to get a grasp of all these visions, Daniel turns to the Word of God, while reading the Scriptures, he discovered something as he read Jeremiah’s words, the end of their seventy years in captivity was coming up. He turns toward Jerusalem and begins to pray for them.

[Daniel 9:2-3,7,11,16  In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.  3  And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: 7  O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. 11  Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. 16  O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.]

[let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem,] Although we all know what is coming, that should not stop us from seeking the mercies of God and the turning around of our nations. Yes, to live is Christ, but we should never be all too willing and eager for all this to happen. This is how Daniel was feeling, God seeing this as he was praying, sent Gabriel to him once again, this is where God reveals the clearest prophecy concerning Christ, and the exact time in which He will be crucified, and His anger will subside.

[Daniel 9:22-26  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.  23  At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.  24  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.  25  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  26  And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.]

[and to make an end of sins,] The seventy weeks means one day for each year, or four hundred and ninety years to be exact. At the end of sixty-nine weeks one sacrifice would be offered by one man, making full atonement for sin, putting an end to animal sacrifices once and for all, bringing righteousness and eternal life to every believer. Just like every prophecy comes true, Christ will return one day and when He does all will see Him for who He truly is, the Messiah, [II Peter 3:9-10  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.]

Today’s Prayer: God, I thank You for the gift of eternal life when I put my faith and trust in Your Son, Jesus Christ, to save me from my sin, death, and hell. Jesus, thank You for giving Your life as a sacrifice to save us, not by any merits which we have done, but by our faith and acceptance of You alone are we saved. It can be hard and quite heartbreaking to see all the judgments taking place today as we near the day of Your return, but as long as long as we stick close to you we can endure it all. Lord, lead us and guide us, keep us reminded that the things we do for You are not to keep our salvation, but to bring others to You so they too can see You and be saved. Let our ears be open to the sound of the trump as You call Your saints to join You in Your kingdom. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
