Message: Set Apart For God

Hello My Friend,

Consecrate; To set apart, dedicate, or devote to the service and worship of God. Millions of people serve in churches all over the world, do you know what is missing in those churches? God. Some churches will even go as far as talking about Jesus and acknowledging what He did on the cross, but God is not there. Why? To know God is to know the Son, and to know the Son is not only believing in His immaculate birth, sinless death, burial, and resurrection, but receiving Him as their only Saviour from their sin stained soul. Without the Son, God does not know us, without the Son, we are worshiping a god we do not know. “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:22-24.

Many people receive Christ as their Saviour, but not everyone that gets saved is used by God to serve Him in His ministry, He chooses who He sets apart for His work, and let me tell you, He qualifies the chosen. God chose Aaron and his sons to be priests that will minister to Him in the tabernacle, He gives Moses instructions on the clothes that they would wear even before they were able to stand before Him.

And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.” – Exodus 28:1-4.

Aaron’s garments to consecrate him,In order to even stand before God we need to be clean, sin free, and have on the right clothes. Since none of us are sin free it is important that we put on the one does clean us so that we can appear before God sin free, and that is His Son. It is humanly incomprehensible to understand how one man can clean us from a lifetime of sin that we cover ourselves in, but this is how God sets us apart from those who think of themselves as clean. It is by the grace of God that we are saved through our faith in Christ, it is only by receiving Him that our service to God counts. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” – I John 1:8-10.

At my job I am required to wear certain clothes that reveal who I work for, white long sleeve shirt with black bottoms, and since I choose to wear a skirt, black tights, an apron, hair net, and a hat. Needless to say as someone who is warm natured, I am sweating half the day, but without one of these items I cannot do my job. The detail and design of the clothes the priests were to wear are just exquisite, I can only imagine how much it weighed and hot they were, upon the breastplate was something very interesting.

And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod. And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually. And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.” – Exodus 28:28-30.

for a memorial before the LORD continually. You know, we will never truly comprehend what Jesus did for us on the cross, the extreme pain He endured, His Father turning away, unable to watch His Son who was covered in the sins of every single soul. Jesus bears the name of every single soul who receives Him upon His heart, we are to never forget what He did for us, nor the day we chose Him as our Saviour. “And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.” – Luke 22:19-20.

Consecrate; To exalt to the rank of a saint. Religions often like to declare people whom have spent their lifetime in service to others as saints. This however, is not what qualifies anyone to be a saint, and in fact, you do not die before you become a saint, you must be alive. Before Aaron and his sons were even allowed to serve Him they had to be cleansed, washed of their sins. God gives Moses instructions on how they were to cleanse themselves even before they were able to minister to Him.

And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest’s office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish, And unleavened bread, and cakes unleavened tempered with oil, and wafers unleavened anointed with oil: of wheaten flour shalt thou make them. And thou shalt put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams. And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water. And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod: And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre. Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.” – Exodus 29:1-7.

and shalt wash them with water.” Putting on clean clothes does nothing for us if our bodies are not clean. Likewise, serving God under false pretenses does nothing for us to make us saints or clean. We must be clean to even stand before God, let alone minister to Him, and the only way we can be clean is by putting the blood of Christ upon us. And by the way, the only way to become a saint is to know Christ as your Saviour, we are in my no means declared saints by our works, it is Christ’s work alone. Christ qualifies us to be saints, and ministers. “Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:” – Ephesians 3:7-9.

Jesus Christ Magnified: Today Jesus is revealed through the ephod, with its different colors and materials, it represents Christ in His high priestly ministry. Christ, the High Priest bears His people upon His shoulders, the place of strength and seat of power. “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;” – Hebrews 9:11.

Today’s Prayer: God, Of the millions of people who get saved not everyone who does, while they are all declared saints, is chosen to serve You in Your ministry. I do not know how You decide who You choose, but I do know that You are the Almighty living God that qualifies us to serve You by our faith and how we choose to life our lives through Your Son. Lord, I still do not understand why You chose me to serve You in Your ministry, I mess up every day, yet You continue to use me in so many ways, thank You for keeping me faithful and using me. Lead me and guide me, fill me with Your wisdom, help me get in check with what You will have me to do, my heart is willing, You are my strength to carry me through. I love You Lord, and pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
