Message: Reconciled With God

Hello My Friend,

As Christians we can rejoice in the fact that we are saved by the blood of Christ, His precious blood redeems, reconciles, and restores our soul not only from hell, but separation from God. Not by works of righteousness that have we done, but by the finished work of Christ are we reconciled with God. Praise God! Being a Christian does not mean we are no longer capable of sin nor that we will not have to confess them to Him, it does mean that we can go before God, no matter how many times we mess up, and be reconciled with Him. “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” – Colossians 1:19-20.

You can do many things for God, but unless you sin free none of that will be beneficial. Before the priests could minister before God they had to be consecrated, cleansed of all their sins, and separated from the outside world. God commands Moses to consecrate Aaron and his sons so that they would be able to minister to God and accept the sacrifices of the people, it was at this time that they would be ordained into the office as priests. God instructs Moses to call the entire congregation to witness this, beginning with the sin offering.

And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering. And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it. And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar. But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses. As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you. Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.– Leviticus 8:14-17,34-35.

to make reconciliation upon it.Reconciled; To restore to friendship or favor after estrangement. Sin destroys our friendship with God, but Christ restores it. The altar, there is no better place to go before God, and it does not have to be a church altar, it can be in any place we go to speak to God one one one. We take all our cares to the altar, our sins, our desires, our needs, and our pleas, so the altar we use needs to be pure and holy. The only way we can stand before the altar pure and holy is by applying the blood of Christ upon our soul. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” – I Peter 1:18-19.

The consecration of Aaron and his sons was done so they could minster unto God, but they still were not able to minister to Him right away, they had to remain in the tabernacle for eight days, separated from the outside. Now, the eight days have come and they were ale to accept the first sacrifices they began with one for the people so that they could all be reconciled with God.

And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel; And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD. And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering; Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you. And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings. And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.– Leviticus 9:1-4,22-24.

and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat:After reading all the things that you had to do in order to be reconciled with God and be accepted of Him it truly is a blessing that Jesus took care of all that with one sacrifice. He is the sin, burnt, meat, peace, and wave offering all in one. Praise God! “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.” – Hebrews 7:26-28.

You know, sometimes we can get so hyped up about doing things for God that we do not pay attention to what we are doing. Of course, God loves an eager servant, but we need to be careful of what we do and allow ourselves to get caught up in. This proved to be the case as we read about two of Aaron’s sons, Nadab and Abihu. Nadab, and Abihu were eager to show their love for God, but they failed to listen to when He said no one is to ever offer up strange fire to Him, it would be an instant death sentence and that is exactly what they did.

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled. And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses. And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;– Leviticus 10:1-3,6-10.

and they died before the LORD.” Millions of people will try to get to God by some other way besides Christ, but they will die instantly and be cast into the fire. While God’s mercy does endure, He makes the rules and we must follow them if we want to be saved. There are many, many people in churches today that pretend they are saved and appear to be living their lives for Christ, but in reality they do not even believe in Him themselves. No amount of serving God saves us, it is our belief and acceptance of the Saviour that saves us. “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” – Galatians 2:16. Amen!

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering. And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.” – Leviticus 8:14-15.

Today’s Prayer: God, I can understand how sin separates us from anyone, especially You since You are holy, pure, and just. I thank You for Your mercy, it truly does not end for those who love You. I am not only saved by the blood of Your Son upon believing in and accepting Him as my Saviour I am also reconciled with You. Lord, lead me and guide me, keep me looking to You so I do not get swayed by the outside world just eager to get me away from You. I know that You could easily cast us away for disobeying You, but Your promise to never leave nor forsake us still stands for all who put their faith and trust in Your Son. Give me Your power, wisdom, mercy, grace, love, and strength to endure temptation, and glorify You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
