Message: A Holy Spirit Filled Life

Hello My Friend,

The Holy Spirit, part of the great three in one, He is a separate person of God, yet as a whole makes Him the all powerful and almighty God that He is. The Holy Spirit often gets overlooked, but it is the Holy Spirit that lead men to pen down the very words of God, and even those we read that describe Jesus’ pain well before He endured the cross. It is the Holy Spirit that lead the men who translated the Bible into the English version of the King James, and every other language so that all can understand. It is the Holy Spirit that leads to the moral decisions of every Christian. The Holy Spirit dwells in each and every person who believes in and receives the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and He remains there throughout the rest of our lives here on earth.

This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.” – I John 5:6-9.

The Holy Spirit did not always dwell in God’s people all the time, in fact, God would remove Him from a person who did not live in obedience to His Word. God did not want His people to be without His presence though, and that is why He instructed Moses to get every willing heart to gather materials to build a tent for Him to dwell.

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass, And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, And rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and shittim wood, Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate. And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.” – Exodus 25:2-9.

And let them make me a sanctuary;” It must have been incredible to walk toward the tent knowing that the Spirit of God was right there, even before you got near it you could feel God’s powerful presence. A Holy Spirit filled life ought to be the same way, people ought to feel the presence of Christ when they approach us. Now, some may not realize it is Christ they see, but He needs to be the first person we reveal when they ask why we are so different. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” – I Corinthians 3:16-19

It was important that Moses follow these instructions entirely, one missed loop could have done a lot of damage. While we may not ever see the significance of knowing every loop and tache needed in building God’s tent, they are significant to God. Every part of the tabernacle, down to the very last loop of a curtain, was given specific details on how it was to be assembled and attached in order to become one tabernacle. Now, God instructs Moses on what is needed to build the holy place and the most holy place. Two veils are to be made, one was a partition between the holy place and the most holy place, which not only was forbidden for any to enter, they could not even look at it. The other was for the outer door of the tabernacle, through this veil the priests alone went in every day to minister to God.

And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy. And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place. And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.” – Exodus 26:33-35.

and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.” You knew, Jesus took down the veil when He went to the cross. The wonders of God’s presence through the Holy Spirit are known only to those who have come inside the curtains of His grace. Jesus Christ removes the veil that separates God from man, once we receive Him as our Saviour, He cleanses us, and makes us ready to minister to God. “And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” – II Corinthians 3:13-17.

Before the tabernacle there was to be a court yard, enclosed with hangings of the finest linen that was used for tents. This court, according to the common computation of cubits, was fifty yards long, and twenty-five wide. “The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass. All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass. And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.” – Exodus 27:18-21.

to cause the lamp to burn always.” The pure olive oil was to be burned before God daily, it signifies the gifts and graces of His Spirit, who dwells permanently in all believers of Christ. Christ is our Light, and without Him we will remain lost and in the dark, even if we are saved we can get lost in the dark. Today, it is the work of faithful, Holy Spirit dwelling Christians to keep the Light shining by preaching and teaching the Scriptures, which are a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” – John 1:1-4,9.

Jesus Christ Magnified: Today Jesus is revealed through the Brasen Altar, by which the sin offerings would be placed. Jesus became the final sacrifice that would give an atonement for all who receive Him. “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” – Romans 5:10,11.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus to become the sacrifice needed that would redeem me of my sins and bring me to know that You are always with me. It is comforting to know that You dwell in me, but it’s also a bit scary, because I don’t want to do anything that makes a disgrace of Your temple. Lord, I want to be a living sacrifice for You, I want to offer myself to be used in anyway that You need me. Lead me and guide me, help me know Your will and follow it so I can be acceptable to You, Give me Your power to understand and know Your Word so that I can be ready and prepare to handle any situation You place before me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
