Message: Accepted By God

Hello My Friend,

The one thing I enjoy about the new year is that I get to start the Bible over again, it is always fitting that the beginning of the year would be to start with the book of beginnings, since I am reading it in order of events rather than book you can expect that it will jump around some, but I think it helps tell history a lot better. Some days I can read the verses and immediately know what it is that God says about it, other days it is a struggle just to come up with any thoughts at all. How is it that we can hear God some times and not others? It has to do with our willingness in hear Him, some days we just do not give Him our full attention, therefore, He does not give us His. I have a specific time in which I get up every morning to spend with God, lately I have struggled at doing that, but you know what, I got closer to God in doing so. I believe that when we give our time to God, even if it is just five minutes, He wants our full attention, not out of necessity or as if we are obligated, but willingly. “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.– Genesis 4:7.

When God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply that is what exactly what they did, they had several children, and their children had children, and so on. In our human comprehension this would be disgusting, but during this time it was acceptable, in fact, since they had all of the genes every one of us have, they were exempt from any birth defects resulting from what would be incestuous today. Of all the children Adam and Eve had only three are mentioned, the first two would be Cain and Able.

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.– Genesis 4:1-7.

and thou shalt rule over him.” Sin is right there constantly knocking at the door, and once we let it in it truly does have rule over us. Take those who choose to live the “alternative lifestyle” for instance, homosexuals, lesbians, transgenders, these people have let the sin in and now it rules over them. The same goes for those whom are addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, and sex. Many people try to say that God did not approve of Cains offering because it was not a blood offering, this is not the issue, the issue was that Cain did not put God first, his offering was mediocre, he just did it because he was obligated or of necessity. God does not want us to come to Him out of obligation, He wants us to come to Him willingly, and when we do, give Him our very best. God used another son to bring up a generation that would devote their lives to Him, Seth.

And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.– Genesis 5:3,21-24,29.

And Enoch walked with God:” We think that the world is a mess today, that not many follow God, but it was just as much of a mess back then as it is today, in fact, it was much worse, which is why God destroyed it with the flood to begin with. Enoch was one of the few people that did not see death as we do, God just took Him up out of all that. Quite often we question why God takes someone before their time, but God knows exactly when it is time to take someone home to Him, even when a person has had their last chance to be saved, reprobates they are called, and while God gives all the opportunity to be saved, some are just way beyond that. I am not kidding when I said that the earth was worse than it is today. God describes exactly how wicked it was.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.– Genesis 6:1-8.

the same became mighty men which were of old,” Have you noticed that children today develop bigger and faster? This is all an impact of the sons of God mixing with the daughters of the world all over again. If there is one thing that God taught me in 2017 it was that, Christians cannot and do not mix with those of the world, they will pull us in, and before you know it you will be dragged into something you never thought possible. “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.God was so grieved at the way man, whom of which He created in His own image, was behaving that He wanted to destroy everything, but He saw something, He saw the faith of one man, Noah, and it was His faith that God decided He would not destroy everything.

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.” – Genesis 7:1-5,21-23.

for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.” It is the few and faithful from this generation that keeps God from destroying all the earth at this time. Oh yes, there will come a time, and if you just read through Revelation with me then you know, when there will be no one left and the entire planet will be destroyed. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.– II Peter 3:9-10.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.” – Genesis 7:15-16.

Today’s Prayer: God, You make it simple to have a blessed, fruitful life, give ourselves willingly to You. In doing so we not only get saved because we have faith in Your Son, we also receive Your grace and that is truly amazing. I am proud to be one of the faithful and few who serve You continually, but it is not of my own doing, it is You who lives in me through the Holy Spirit, if not for Him my offerings would always be mediocre, and that is not what I want at all. Lord, lead me and guide me, fill me with Your grace, remove the plaque from my heart that sometimes collects as I try to deal with life, and let it always be open and willing to serve You however You choose. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
