Message: Children Of No Faith

Hello My Friend,

If there is one thing that the Christians, Jews, and Muslims agree on it is that there is only One God, and He is the Almighty Jehovah Himself. Now, what extremely separates them all is their faith, and since God is a man about faith it is very important that we have faith in everything He stands for. We cannot believe He can save by grace through Jesus Christ, and not believe that He created the earth in six literal days. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the very fuel that feeds the power of God, and yet He is limited every day because many are children of no faith. There is nothing God will not do or show for us with a little faith, even eternal salvation. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” – Psalm 91:1-2,14-16.

It was time for Moses’s journey on earth to come to an end, he led the people to the promised land as God called him to do, he gave them God’s law and told them of what was to come as they took possession of the land. One more speech and his time one done, although this speech was a little different than the rest, if you read carefully you will see that while it starts out as Moses speaking, it is clearly the LORD Himself.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.” – Deuteronomy 32:1-5,8-10.

Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.” Of all the people on the earth, all of whom God created, He chose to put His name only on one people, the people of Jacob (Israel). The children of Israel are not just Jews, they are believers of all nations. As His speech continues we see exactly how God feels about those with no faith in Him.

They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.” – Deuteronomy 32:16-20,30-31,36-40.

For their rock is not as our Rock,” False gods come in many forms of religion, from Jehovah’s Witness to Mormons, and Muslims. Yes, they are worshiping a false god because they have made God to be who they want, their rock is not the Rock. Their rock in not the Lord, Jesus Christ, they may even talk about Him, call Him a great man, and even claim He is the Saviour, but they are not solely trusting in Him as their Saviour alone because they are children of no faith. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” – Hebrews 11:1-3.

Faith and obedience go hand in hand when we choose to believe every word, and surely when we are obedient we are blessed. God cares for and protects His people in a wicked and corrupt world, sometimes we may be in the midst of the battle, but He will sustain us through it, if only He takes us away from it. Before God takes him away, Moses blesses each tribe, also reminding them that He will always be there for those who have faith.

And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.” – Deuteronomy 33:1-3,26-29.

There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun,Jeshurun; Supremely happy, to be blessed. It is a symbolical name for Israel denoting that Israel would be extremely happy or prosperous as long as they seek God for their refuge. Again, Israel is not just the Jews, it is all who believe. “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” – John 10:16.

It was time, God led Moses to the top of Pisgah, He allowed him to get a view of the promised land as well as Gilead, but his time on earth was up, and even so, God still had great respect for him. And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,” – Deuteronomy 34:1-7,10.

but thou shalt not go over thither.” I can only imagine what Moses thought as he made the trip up the mountain, hugging everyone that passed him by, tears in his eyes as he was so close, but could not go in. It could be like being at the entrance of your favorite theme park and not being able to go in. It is often the lack of faith and failing to give God credit where credit is due that keeps us from getting to enjoy many things. And please understand that this does not mean that Moses was not saved, he just lost the opportunity to be on the land he worked so hard to get to. We will all stand before Jesus one day for judgment, even the saved will face Him, and He will tell us of all the opportunities we missed because we lacked faith or did not give glory to Him. One thing is for sure, all who put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour alone will be right there with Moses. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” – Romans 10:9-10.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” – Deuteronomy 32:4.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for the gift of eternal life through Your Son, we do not have to work for our salvation, we just have to believe in and accept that He alone paid the price for our sins, and is all we need to be saved. While my salvation can never be earned or repaid, my faith in You will lead me to follow Your commands as I learn of them through Your Word. Lord, You are my Rock, my refuge, and my salvation, and it is You I trust to see me through this life until You bring me home. Lead me and guide me, give me Your power, wisdom, mercy, grace, and love to get through every battle I face. Help me to live by faith and not by what I see, show me great and mighty things as I know You have the power to do all things. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
