Message: In The Place God Chooses

Hello My Friend,

The world thinks that they can worship God anyway they choose and be accepted of Him, but will never understand that they cannot get to God their own way. Faith goes a long way with God, but we must have the right faith, otherwise we are wasting our time even talking to Him because He does not hear anyone that does not worship Him by choosing His Son first. “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.” – Matthew 11:27. As Christians we are no longer under the law of Moses, meaning we are not required to know and obey the hundreds of commandments written in it if we want to please God, but we are required to know His Son as our Saviour. The law was given to separate God’s people from the rest of the world, after all, they belonged to Him and He expected them to behave in a way that showed we are children of God. Moses reminds the new generation of Israel that they were holy and to be different from the world.

Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing. Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk. Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always. And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:” – Deuteronomy 14:1-3,21-25.

thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates,” What is good for the world is not good for us for we are holy people. What does that mean? Holy; Properly, whole, entire or perfect, in a moral sense. Hence, pure in heart, temper or dispositions; free from sin and sinful affections. Those who know Christ as their Saviour have a proper, whole, and perfect soul in God’s eyes because we have the blood of Christ in us, we have accepted His sacrifice as not only our redemption from sin, but atonement as well. With that said, our flesh needs work, and while we are never completely sin free, we can be free from sinful affections as we walk with Christ. “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.” – Romans 6:15-17.

Released; To be free from confinement, bondage, or obligation, God enforced a release every seven years on any debt owed by any person that was not paid. Moses reminds Israel of the Sabbath year, if a person owed money to a creditor and could not afford to pay it, the creditor had seven years to try to claim it, if at the end of the seven years it had not been claimed, that person would be released from the debt.

At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD’S release. Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release; Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it: Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.” – Deuteronomy 15:1-8.

because it is called the LORD’S release.” Once we receive Christ as our Saviour we belong to Him, that means we are released from the debt we owed for our sins because He paid it for us. If we live a life of faith we will surely be blessed on this land. The Sabbath year is representative of the Gospel of Christ in which it is proclaimed as the only acceptable year of the Lord to redeem a soul bound for hell. The Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, when one believes in the Gospel and asks Jesus to save them, are not only released from the sin debt owed, they are released from their sins too. “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.” – Psalm 103:11-13.

It is no doubt that every Christian has much to be thankful for, most of all God’s Son. It is great to give praises to God when He answers that long awaited prayer or when He does something amazing that we were not expecting. It can be easy to lose sight of His blessings when life gets tough, which is why it is great that we have designated observances to remind us that He is still with us. Israel was reminded of their holy days, starting with the Passover.

Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee: But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn. And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there. Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.” – Deuteronomy 16:2,5-6,9-11,16-17.

But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in,There is only one place that God chooses to put His name today and that is Jesus Christ. We cannot just worship God in any place, we must worship in truth and the where He says, and now, the only way to Him is through His Son. “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” – John 5:39-43.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.” – Deuteronomy 16:2.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for choosing me and making me one of Yours when I accepted Your Son as my Saviour. I know I have always been peculiar, but You confirmed that when I discovered I never belonged in the world because I belong to You. Lord, I want to live a life that is pleasing to You, and one that lets Your Son live through me, I am not of the world and people already knew that, now, let my life be a testimony of the amazing life You have given me as I follow You to the place where You put Your name. Lead me and guide me, fill me with Your mercy, grace, love, discernment, and the wisdom to overcome the deception of the world as they try to worship You their way. Let me show the truth to a lost and dying world. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
