Message: Not of God

Hello My Friend,

As I was reading the chapters for today I could not help, but think about what we are going through today in regards to how people are responding to Covid, the vaccines, and mandates. You have the pros, the cons, and the in betweens who side with whomever the majority is. I bring this up because it does not matter how you explain things to people, they are going to hear what they want to hear. We already made up our minds on what we believe, regardless of any evidence that proves otherwise, and I will tell you what, anyone can twist some words around to make it look like what they are saying is true. Do you think that people do not twist the Scriptures around to make it look like what they are saying is true? Oh, they do, and Jesus knows exactly who they belong to, [John 8:43-44  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.  44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.]

Religion is one of the most corrupt origination’s there is, right up there with politics. The Jews prided themselves on their religion, and their faith in God, but it was definitely not the same religion God gave them. You see, if they knew the Law, then they would trust that the very Scriptures they read regarding the Messiah was in fact Jesus. As we continue in the reading of the Gospels, during the Feast of Booths, Jesus went to his hometown of Galilee, instead of Jerusalem because the Jews were trying to capture him, [John 7:3-7  His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.  4  For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.  5  For neither did his brethren believe in him.  6  Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.  7  The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.]

[For neither did his brethren believe in him.] These are not actually children from Joseph and Mary, these are believed to be the children of Mary’s sister. They had grown up with Jesus and appeared to have known the truth that Jesus was not Joseph’s son. It also seems as though they thought that they could get some special advances because they were half earthly cousins in the flesh to Jesus, which is why they were applaud of all these miracles they heard about Him. These men and or women are perfect examples of people who have absolutely no faith in Christ, but hang around those who do so they can reap the blessings that come through their faithfulness, and Jesus knows exactly who they are, [Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.]

During the Feast of Tabernacles, the people dwelt in tents made of boughs, on the roofs of the houses, and in the open places in or around Jerusalem. The rites of the feast recalled the miraculous interposition’s of the Exodus and how they dwelt in tents for forty years. Water was poured out each morning in the Temple to recall when Jesus smote the rock and water poured out. Now, while the Jews were in their tents, the hot topic was Jesus, and little did they know that Jesus was secretly observing them.

[John 7:10-13,25-26  But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.  11  Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?  12  And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.  13  Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. 25  Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?  26  But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?]

[Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.] At my job, we have something called a silent hold, it’s where we can put the customer on hold to where they cannot hear us, but we can still hear them. And you would not believe the things you hear them say. Now, notice how they are separated now as these religious nuts were the ones to call themselves Jews. At this point, the Jews were no longer seen as sons of Israel (Jacob), rather a religion. Now, it is the last day of the Feast, Jesus is about to say something in regards to that water being poured out, but this religious group did everything they could to convince these people that He was not the Messiah.

[John 7:37-43,45-46  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.  38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  39  (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)  40  Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.  41  Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?  42  Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?  43  So there was a division among the people because of him. 45  Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?  46  The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.  47  Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?]

[and out of the town of Bethlehem,] Let me tell you, if they have to convince you that their lies are true, then they are truly the liars that they are. They certainly know what the Scriptures say, but twist it a little bit to make people question its authenticity. If they bothered to pay attention they would have known that Jesus, is of David, and was born in Bethlehem, but their hatred toward Jesus blinded them from accepting the truth, [2 Timothy 4:2-4  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.]

[Are ye also deceived?] It is funny how everyone gets along until you disagree with them? Do you see what they are doing here, trying to get people to question the Bible? Now, that Jesus (who is the Word of God in the flesh) was teaching the Law, the Jews had a hard time believing that He was the one that all the Scriptures talked about, in fact, they did not want to hear anyone even agreeing with Him. Jesus confronts the Pharisees who questioned His accountability, but He also had something to say to those who said they believed.

[John 8:30-38  As he spake these words, many believed on him.  31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;  32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  33  They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?  34  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.  35  And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.  36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.  37  I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.  38  I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.]

[Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,] They kept it a secret because they feared their own lives, which is why Jesus said what He did. We are not bound to any religion when we put our faith and trust in Christ. That is still a lot of Christians today, but we are to never fear what the world or religious thinks about us nor be ashamed, [Romans 1:16-17  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.]

[and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.] Those who truly believe in God will also believe in all that Jesus is and when we do that makes us one of God’s. On the other hand, those who refuse to believe are of the devil because even though he is well aware of Jesus, he will never submit himself to Jesus at least to save his own life. In the beginning when God had Moses interpret the Law, even then they questioned it, likewise, many of the priests and prophets God used, but it does not matter what they say, everything will come to pass as it is written, [Matthew 5:18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.]

As Jesus continues speaking, Abraham came up, they could not get past the fact that Jesus measured Himself above Abraham, and what He had said next drove a nail right through their hearts.

[John 8:53-59  Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?  54  Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:  55  Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.  56  Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.  57  Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?  58  Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.  59  Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.]

[Before Abraham was, I am.] The religious cannot see past their eyeballs, and even then, all they see is what they want to see. Had any of these fools really studied the Scriptures and believed them, then they would have seen that Jesus is the Messiah and has been here from the start. In fact, has always been because He is truly God in the flesh. We must have a submissive spirit to truly understand all that God has to show us. Will He show us everything? No. Some things He wants us to trust and believe by faith alone, [Hebrews 11:1-3  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  2  For by it the elders obtained a good report.  3  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.]

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, Thank You again for the sacrifice You made for me, I do not have eternal life based on any thing that I have done, but my faith and trust in what You have done. Lord, lead me and guide me, give me Your power to discern the truth from the lies, help me to live not by man’s word, but by Yours, for I know You are the way, the truth, and the life. While people may come and go in my life, You will never leave nor forsake me no matter how many times I mess up. Thank You for Your grace, mercy, and never ending love. In pray this in Your name Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
