Message: Neither Bid Them Godspeed

Hello My Friend,

Prayer; the act of asking God for a favor, and particularly with earnestness. God has laid it on my heart to talk about prayer, not the normal, ask believing, and you shall receive prayer, rather what we ought not to be praying for. Yes, there is great power in prayer, but if we are not praying for the right things we might as well be talking to a wall because God will not hear us. Remember, we must be saved in order for God to hear our prayers, we are to pray in His will, and we are to pray in the name of Jesus. Did you know that we are not to pray for God’s protection over those who reject the Gospel? “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” – II John 1:7-11.

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” You know, while Jesus did die for all, and would love to save all, that does not mean that He does. These are the reprobates, the ones Satan has possessed, and are beyond the hope of salvation. No one wants to die and end up in hell, and those who do not believe or even say they worship the devil do not want to either, otherwise, they would not act the way they do. Satan knows where he is going, and he will do anything to prolong his life while taking as many lost souls with him that he can. As saved, born again Christians, it is very important that we not only keep preaching the Gospel, but that we teach it to the younger generation as well. In case you have not noticed, this new generation is so lost that they cannot even find God let alone Jesus, and those who do know about Jesus are being taught this false doctrine that will send them to hell. David was getting old, he wanted to make sure that his kingdom as well as the place of worship for God was set in order. He calls for Solomon, his children, the priests, and Levites.

So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel. And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites. And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof. Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God; Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size; And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even; And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD: And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.” – I Chronicles 1-2,26,2832.

And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD,This is how we go from one nation under God to one nation worshiping everything, but God, Christians who were not, nor teaching their children to praise and thank God every morning and night. Every day at least, needs to start with, “Good morning God.” And end with, “Good night God.” We think we need to say a thousand word prayer to get God to hear us, but He rather hear, “God, thank You.” earnestly than repetitive words with no meaning. We all get tired, and not every prayer we say is going to be earnest, God knows, and understands this, which is why just saying His name with meaning is more important to Him than a multitude of words that are not. A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.” – Psalm 108:1-6.

That thy beloved may be delivered:” I do not know how God does it, but He sure has a way of setting His Word in the right order, when He directs us to a certain passage out of the blue, He is trying to tell us something. If you have received Christ as Your Saviour then you are Christ’s beloved, He has delivered you from more than death and hell, He has delivered you from the hands of Satan. That does not mean he will never afflict, or tempt your flesh to go against God, but it does mean that your soul belongs to Christ, and if you stick close to Him He will never be able to tempt you above what you are able. Christians who fall into the hands of Satan do not have their hearts fixed on Jesus. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.” – I Corinthians 10:13,20-21.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord,” You cannot be saved and live under the influence of Satan, and those who do may need to question their salvation because when Christ is in you He turns you away from Satan’s devices. Of course, if they are saved and fall into sin we are to pray for their returning to Christ, and we are to pray for the salvation of those who believe in God, Christ, and the Gospel, but are stuck in their religion. There is actually something else that we are to pray for, that many will never tell you, for God to judge the wicked.

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise; For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour. Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children. Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.” – Psalm 109:1-2,6-12,20.

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD,I understand that this goes against everything we are taught in church and Bible studies, I even heard preachers tell us that we are not to pray like this anymore. Our greatest weapon in this world is prayer, there are some things that we go through that only God can get the credit for getting us through them. As we grow in Christ we do not live a Godly life because it is required, we do because we realize we belong to Him and He belongs to us, we no longer what to just get by in life, we want to prosper and see all the Jesus can do in our lives. God truly blesses those who give their all to Him, even when they mess up time and time again. We are not always going to be wholehearted for God, but a little faith goes a long way. We cannot say the same for those who reject Christ or are teaching a false doctrine.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.” – Psalm 110:2-7.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent,While Jesus did say that we are to love our enemy (Luke 6:27-36), including pray for them, He never said that they were all reprobates, as there are many saved, born again Christians fighting with each other. Jesus knows who are sincere, after all, if we are going to ask for something in His name, it needs to be genuine. In fact, He gives us an example of two people praying. Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” – Luke 18:10-14.

that I am not as other men are,Perhaps the worst thing we could ever do in prayer is tell God that we are more righteous than someone else. Understand, when we go to God in prayer, we are able to point out things that we have done, and ask Him to bless us for our faithfulness. And we are able to ask God to deal with our enemy, what we are never to do is go to Him with so much pride that we lift ourselves up over another. We are all sinners, and those who are saved are saved only by His grace through our faith in Christ. Therefore, we are not to condemn others while boasting about all we have done because we are no different than them. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:8-10.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” – Psalm 110:4.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, There is something comforting and quite exciting to know that You belong to me, not by works of righteousness, but by my faith in Your finished work. Now, we are one, I belong to You and You belong to me, and there is nothing or no one that can change that. Lord, I think about the life I lived before You and although I struggle today, it does not compare to what I struggled with before You were mine, Your grace truly carried me through some very dark waters, and that alone keeps me singing praises to You. I never want to spend another day in darkness, and while I may be afflicted, get chastened, or be subjected to the evils of this world, I know You are with me and will help me not only escape, but delver me through my faith and trust in You alone. In Your name, Jesus, I pray, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
