Message: Love Lifted Me

Hello My Friend,

[Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, Love lifted me!] Before I even started reading the chapters for today, this passage came to mind, [John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.].

When you think about it, most of us will do practically anything for the ones that we love. A mother would do anything to protect her children, a father would do anything to provide for his children, a spouse would do anything to keep their beloved. Well, God so loved man that He gave His Son, [John 3:14-18  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.]

I want to cry as I am reminded of the love that Jesus has for me, even at my worse, He still loves me, He gave His life for me, and only wants the best for me. Even if I lost everything I possess, and only have Jesus, I still have everything I need. Until I asked Jesus to save my soul, trusting only that He alone is my salvation, I was guilty of every sin I ever committed, my debt was enormous, there was no way that I could ever pay it off, and for that reason hell was my punishment. Thank God, I did not have to pay it at all, Jesus paid it all by laying down His own life in place of mine. It does not matter if we only commit one sin, or ten million, we are guilty, even those done through ignorance. That is why God gave His Law concerning the sacrifices, he did not want one soul that believes in Him to end up in hell.

[Leviticus 5:5-7,11,13  And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:  6  And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.  7  And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. 11  But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering. 13  And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.]

[for it is a sin offering.] Most of mankind will, including many who believe in God, cannot accept the fact that God would let a soul go to hell, and that their goodness is not enough to keep them from hell. We must understand that God is holy, He is very merciful, but He is also just, meaning that He conforms to the rules of His Law, doing equal justice to all. He is also impartial, allowing what is due, giving fair representation of our character, whether in merit or demerit. God sends no one to hell, we have a choice and if we say that we believe in God, then we must also accept that His Law stands true for those who accept or deny Him, [II Timothy 2:11-13  It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:  12  If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:  13  If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.]

God is faithful, He gives everyone the opportunity to get saved, look at how He accepted the sacrifices of flour or grain for those who had no ram or pigeons. Saved or not, unrepentant sin brings death. Think about it, do you actually think that God is going to let one of His live a life of sin, and then just come up to heaven? We will face judgment in this time of our life for any unrepentant sin. Through Moses, God enforces the Law regarding sin that has not been addressed, even though it is forgiven.

[Leviticus 6:2-6  If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;  3  Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:  4  Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,  5  Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.  6  And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:]

[he shall even restore it in the principal,] While our salvation does save our soul from the punishment of sin, that does not mean that we do not have to make amends for what we have done for unrepentant sin. Whether we would like to believe that we would never sin after we are saved, that is not going to happen. That is why we need to confess our sin and repent, pretty much daily, [I John 1:6-10  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  10  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.]

When we choose to accept Christ as our Saviour, He takes is personally, His love for man is so deep that He gave His life to save every soul. He does not expect us to be perfect, He does expect us to be faithful, and if we are going to say that we want Him in our lives He expects us to live in a way that not only shows that we belong to Him, but that He belongs to us too. In order to do that we must walk with Him daily, that is what keeps the light and or fire burning. Through Moses, God enforces the Law on how the anointed priest was to accept and prepare the offerings, a burnt offering was to be burning non stop, day and night.

[Leviticus 6:9,12-13,25-27  Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it. 12  And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.  13  The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. 25  Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.  26  The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.  27  Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place.]

[The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar;] The Holy Spirit is the fire within every saved soul, and it never go out. However, if we are not walking with Christ daily, He will not appear to be, and the fire that we have for God can fizzle, this is why we find people who were once on fire for God suddenly renouncing their faith. We cannot have it both ways, we either walk with Christ or we walk in sin, and if we do, we will face consequence for it. Just stop to think about what you are doing when you received Christ as Your Saviour, You are taking His flesh and blood upon Your soul. In an interesting contrast, each priest was to eat from the offering.

[Leviticus 7:6,8,15-18  Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy. 8  And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered. 15  And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.  16  But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:  17  But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.  18  And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.]

[be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted,] Each and every saved soul are now priests, when we receive Christ as our Saviour, that means, we eat of His body, just as Jesus said we must do if we want to have eternal life. The time to receive Christ is now, not three days from now. We do not have the promise of tomorrow, we do have the promise that should we choose Christ as our Saviour, we have eternal life with Him, [Romans 5:8-10  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.  10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Leviticus 6:6-7  And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:  7  And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.]

Today’s Prayer: God, You could have very well kept the laws of the Jews in order for us to be reconciled with You and not have to face the punishment of death, but You chose a better, a perfect sacrifice, Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for loving us and not forsaking us, for Your faith in us and also faithfulness that brings us to Your Son when we are ready yo accept hay His sacrifice is all that is needed to be saved from hell. I do not deserve Your love because I know I sin every day, but You are faithful and just, in that I can come to You, in full repentance all day long, and will be forgiven. Lord, let me be a witness and give me Your power, wisdom, and guidance to live the life You laid out for me in a way that glorifies You, shows Your love, and brings others to Your Son. If there is any unrepentant sin, reveal it to me now, so that I may make amends. I ask this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
