Study: God Wants to Heal Our Land

Hello My Friend,

I was driving home from work last night, listening to the news on the radio, when I heard that doctors have performed the first womb transplant, on a transgender female. Yes, womb! My heart just sank and I was actually in tears, I can only imagine how God must be feeling about all this. I keep saying that what we are seeing is nothing that God has not seen, but this takes the cake, and all I can say is that is that all of these pandemics, diseases, food shortages, oil shortages, no thanks to our wonderful government, is all God attempting to get our nation to stop depending on foreign goods, and get back depending on Him and producing our own goods, [2 Chronicles 7:13-14  If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;  14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.]

Do you understand that this pandemic, all diseases, natural, and man made disasters, are warnings of what is to come of those who never choose Christ. Those who chose Him may have to deal with some suffering as we are exposed to God’s judgment on the ungodly, but remember, we will be preserved. God places these evils before us for a reason, He expects us to do what we physically can do on our own (pray, fast, live), then depend, and trust on Him to do the rest. If all of our victories were self sufficient, then we would think we did it all on our own, and since God is a jealous God, He will not compete with our pride to get our attention. 1 Chronicles also gives us details on how David’s reign as king became so successful, he dedicated every success to God.

[1 Chronicles 18:1-3,7-8,11  Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.  2  And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.  3  And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates. 7  And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.  8  Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. 11  Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.]

[Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD,] As true Christians, we are not always going to avoid challenges in life after we are saved, but that does not mean that Jesus will not be there to help us endure them. We have to be careful when God starts blessing us so that we do not forget to credit Him for our success, or start becoming so boastful that we get caught up in pride. This Psalm was written in reference to what took place prior to their battle with Edom, who by the way, were cousins, descendants of Esau.

[Psalms 60:1-8  To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.  2  Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.  3  Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.  4  Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.  5  That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.  6  God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.  7  Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;  8  Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.]

[Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee,] The chastening we go through as Christians does not always come from disobedience, it is often used to show His Son through our faith and endurance. Of course, we do not like to suffer needlessly, but it is actually the suffering that brings us to depend on God more, which is the only way we can resist falling into the temptations of the world. David comes to realize that it is more blessed to be approached for God.

[Psalms 65:1-7  To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.  2  O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.  3  Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.  4  Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.  5  By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:  6  Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:  7  Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.]

[and the tumult of the people.] [Tumult; The commotion, disturbance or agitation of a multitude, usually accompanied with great noise, uproar and confusion of voices.] Years ago, this acronym was plastered everywhere, “WWJD”, “What Would Jesus Do?” As you can see, it must have caught on pretty good because we are more corrupt as a nation than ever. When you stop to think about it, if Jesus were walking here in the flesh right now, He would certainly be doing more than turning over the tables in the churches that are doing the same things that the world is doing. I may lose more people and get a lot of criticism about this, but it is the truth, and if we truly care about what Jesus thought then, the Church would not be making a mockery out of Him by condoning these wicked acts, and allowing them in their congregations. Yes, Jesus loves, and died for all of us, and is forgiving, but He will judge those idle tongues, [Matthew 12:36-37  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  37  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.]

We have a God given right to speak the truth, and we have a God given right to tell them that we do not agree with them without being harassed for it. Of course, Jesus wants us to be cordial and tactful, not hateful or judgmental, as we are all sinners, but we can tell people the truth without being judgmental. We do Jesus, and ourselves a disservice, by keeping silent. He does not force us to do anything, but He does expect us to be committed to Him, at least, repentant when we do sin, but many have forgotten that fact, and this is the result.

[Psalms 50:10-17,22-23  For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.  11  I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.  12  If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.  13  Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?  14  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:  15  And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.  16  But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?  17  Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. 22  Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.  23  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.]

[If I were hungry, I would not tell thee:] God is really simple, He does not ask us for much, just our faith and faithfulness to Him. God rather be in discomfort than see us in discomfort, Jesus bought and paid for our souls with His own blood so that we do not have to suffer more than with life gives us. We are living sacrifices, or we ought to be, until He brings us home to Him, [Romans 12:1-2  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.]

[lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.] This sounds an awful lot like something Jesus said, [Revelation 2:2-5  I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:  3  And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.  4  Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.]

Secular Christianity has made a mockery out of Christ’s Church, they do not want to offend or be prosecuted so, if they cannot beat them, they join them. I do not know about your Jesus, but my Jesus, while He accepts anyone who calls on Him for salvation, does not condone sin of any kind, [John 5:5-8,14  And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  6  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?  7  The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.  8  Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 14  Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.]

While Jesus will never deny salvation to anyone who believes in and received Him, He does not nor ever condones sin of any kind, and they will be judged in their sin. You cannot pick and choose what you believe from God’s Word, and if you question one thing, God will have no respect for you. Those who reject God question His existence because of His rules and the evils in the world. Let me tell you, God sees exactly what is going on, and apart from Satan being the instigator, foolish man is responsible for the evil.

[Psalms 53:1-4  To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.  2  God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.  3  Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.  4  Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.]

[to see if there were any that did understand,] For years I have read, and quoted this as it is often used to witness to people, then I finally understood it, God is referring to reprobates here. Children of men are those who know God exists, and yet reject God, a great example is Satan, he certainly knows God exists, that he was created by him as well, and that salvation is through Christ alone, but he is a reprobate, beyond the hope of salvation because he refuses to accept Christ. These are the fools that God turns over to themselves and their reprobate mind, [Romans 1:28-32  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  31  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  32  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for loving me and not giving up on me, and for Your mercy and grace to see me through all my ups and downs. You know what is best for me, and I have to accept that Your way is the only way. Lord, I do want to live by Your Word and walk the path You have chosen for me, give me Your power, wisdom, guidance, mercy, and grace. Let not my tongue be idle, and always speaking the truth, and living in it as well. Help me resist the temptation to do things my way, to walk down my own path, and let me lean not on my own understanding, but trust You. Put Your hedge up protection around me, give me discernment and encouragement when I am troubled. And I know I can do all things through Your Son, who is my strength. I ask these things in Your name Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
