Message: Season Of Hate

Hello My Friend,

seasons-changeAs I watched the election the other day I saw the fear in the eyes of the anchors as they kept seeing the numbers go in the opposite direction as to what they were expecting. Now, I am not going to talk about politics, but this entire election has done one thing, proved how the world is full of peace until you disagree with them. Jesus said that offenses will come so we cannot avoid them nor can we let them bully us into agreeing with them. What comes to mind here is what Solomon said, everything has a season. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1-3,7-8.

and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” You know, the world loves to make you think that they love you, but disagree with them and the daggers come out, they will destroy you before they let you expose them for who they truly are. Right now they think they are getting away with what they are doing, but when the time is right, God will be their judge. The Pharisees thought they were the best of the best, they proclaimed God and even made it appear that they followed the Scriptures and were for the people. Then Jesus showed up and started exposing them for the hypocrites they really were, their first instinct was to destroy Jesus and now that they captured Him they were sure to find something to accuse Him so they began asking Him questions.

The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said. And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?” – John 18:19-23.

Answerest thou the high priest so?” How dare Jesus speak to the high priest that way? Ananias was the father-in-law of the high priest. For many years he had worn the high priest’s robes, and though he was retired from office, he still had control over it. He was the most powerful factor in the high-priestly circles and the thought of Jesus speaking out infuriated him, the reason being that none of them could find anything to accuse Him of and those who did were actually found out to be liars. Most of the information that the world has about Jesus and Christians is incorrect, but they do not want to hear the truth.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.” – Romans 1:20-23.

Those who are against the truth will do anything to corrupt it and deceive the unknowing into believing they are the ones telling the truth. Since the high priest could not directly put a death sentence on Jesus they sent Him to Pontius Pilate and tried to get him to prosecute Him. When Pilate asked Jesus what He had done, He told him plainly why He they were against Him in the first place.

Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man? They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” – John 18:29-36.

then would my servants fight,” Right there Jesus told him He was not a Jew and that if they were His people they would fight for Him. There is a difference between someone who is just scared to talk about Christ in the midst of a bunch of hungry wolves and someone who denies Him all together, Jesus knows who are His, and they will proclaim Him given the right season. Pilate wanted nothing to do with prosecuting Jesus let alone putting a death sentence on Him, the more the crowd chanted crucify Him the more afraid he got.

When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.” – John 19:6-11.

therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.” From that moment, Pilate knew that Jesus was the Son of God and the one true King, and Jesus knew that Pilate did not want to deliver Him into their hands, He assures him that they are the ones who would suffer the most. Jesus made it clear that unless God had him the given him the power to stop them from crucifying Him that nothing he did would have stopped them. I have one thing to say to those who are quick to judge even before they know the matter, vengeance. God will get the vengeance. While the wicked, corrupt, and true haters in the world have their season, like all seasons it too will come to pass and a new one will begin, one where God will have His say and get the vengeance. “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” – Romans 12:9.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” – John 19:30.

Today’s Prayer: God, I want to thank You for sending Your Son to save me, I am trusting fully in Him for eternal life with You. While I humble myself to You, help me to submit solely to You, with all the joy, peace, and comfort that only comes from Christ who is mine. Lord, just as You are the example that I need to follow let me be the example for someone else to follow in hopes that they too can find peace in the Savior. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
