Message: The Word Of Life
Hello My Friend,
It is amazing to think that God’s voice is so powerful that the second He said, “LET THERE BE LIGHT!” it appeared. The same is true for the person who receives Christ as their Saviour, as soon as they believe and confess that He died to save them from their sin and that He alone is needed for their salvation they are saved, even before they say amen. Christ is the beginning of our relationship with God, without Christ we cannot fellowship with God. “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” – I John 1:1-3.
“of the Word of life;” Since Jesus is “the Word” and we believe in “the Word” we are automatically one with God and Jesus, meaning we can have fellowship with God the Father, and the Son. The instant we say to Jesus, “I confess that I am a sinner, I believe that You died a sinless death, that You were buried, and resurrected three days later to save me from my sins, and I am trusting You as my Saviour, God says, “LET THERE BE LIFE!”. How awesome and amazing is that! Just because we are saved that does not mean we still have fellowship with God, there are so many saved living such worldly lives that there is no sign of Christ in them at all. John reminds us through this letter that because we are saved we need to be an example of Christ.
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” – I John 2:1-6.
“we have an advocate with the Father,” This is not a message to the unsaved, but those who reject fellowship with Christ, fully knowing they are saved, the ones live immoral lives and have no shame about it. The mentality is, “I am saved, I can do what I want.” The truth is there is no joy in worldly living. Oh, one might think they are having fun for a little while, but get rid of the sex, beer, drugs, superficial friends, money, and fame and what is left? A sad, wasted life, with nothing to show for it.
“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” – I John 3:7-14.
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,” God created the heavens and earth in six days, it did not take long for the devil to bring sin upon man, creating the sin death curse and separation between God and man. It took three days for Jesus to reverse that curse, creating eternal life and fellowship between God and all who believe in His Son. While the devil can never produce life, he can produce deception and he is good at it too. If we say we are saved and are not different from the world than perhaps it is time to reevaluate our lives, make sure we know for sure that we have Christ in us, and if He is, repent. “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” – Revelation 3:2,3.
Those who fellowship with Christ truly walk in the LIGHT and receive more than a relationship with Him, they receive an anointing from God, one that enables them to eliminate the sinful things they enjoyed and replace them with Godly things. Those who say they are saved, and never see Christ are not walking in that LIGHT, be not deceived, not everyone that confesses Christ is true.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” – I John 4:1-4.
“because greater is he that is in you,” Okay, we who walk with Christ are not sinless, we are going to mess up, sometimes several times a day, but living our lives with Christ makes us more like Him as we learn His ways. People should be able to tell if Christ is in us because we truly are different. If they do not see Christ in us, than we are obviously not walking with Him. We can live in this world and not be of it, we can enjoy this life with some integrity, and we can enjoy a life of fellowship with God.
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” – I John 5:14-20.
“And we know that we are of God,” God is with all who have receive His Son, He always will be, in order to feel His presence one needs to simply remind themselves just how much He loves them, that He is with them, and that He will take care of everything. Just say, “Create in me a clean heart, renew a right spirit within me, restore unto me the joy of thy salvation.” – Psalms 51:10.
Jesus Christ Magnified: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” – I John 1:7.
Today’s Prayer: Jesus, The sacrifice You made for us is still something true believers cannot comprehend, to give Your life for us and even want fellowship with us after all we have done is truly amazing. Lord, I want to walk in Your Light, give me Your power and the strength that only You can give me to be able to live the joyful life that You would have me live as I let Your Light shine through me. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
