Message: I Belong To Jesus

Hello My Friend,

I had to remind myself, well, it was God who reminded me of this as I had been staring at the computer screen for almost an hour, asking Him to hear me and open my heart, that I belong to Jesus. As much as we fail Him, and much as we disappoint Him, no one and nothing we could ever do, will separate a soul who received Christ as Saviour from Christ because we belong to Him. We can never fully comprehend what Jesus has done for us, the pain, the shame, the humiliation as everyone looked up at Him while He was on the cross, dying for a crime He never committed, in fact, He died for every crime man ever committed. When we believe in and accept Him as our only means to salvation from eternal death we belong to Him, and He belongs to. [John 10:27-30  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.  30  I and my Father are one.]

Christ is the Good Shepherd and we are His sheep for eternity, that means forever and always we belong to Him. Amen! We may go astray or get escape the fence of life, but like every shepherd, He brings us back in, if we are stubborn and keep going over that fence, He will chasten us, but He will never let us go. David knew his life was coming to an end, he knew how blessed he was blessed by God, even though he messed up a lot , he wanted his son to be blessed also, to be a godly king, surrounded by godly leaders therefore, he began appointing people who would help him run a godly kingdom, he was the only king to do this before he died.

[I Chronicles 23:1-6,14-17  So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.  2  And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.  3  Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.  4  Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges:  5  Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.  6  And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. 14 Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.  15  The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eliezer.  16  Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.  17  And the sons of Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had none other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.]

[and six thousand were officers and judges:] Did you notice that it was the Levite’s who enforced the Law? This of course, seemed to have been changed after they returned to Israel from Babylon. And this is why our justice system is so screwed up today, there are very few godly judges, and are making a complete mockery out of God’s Word. Let me tell you, for all those who like to say that the people of the Old Testament had no knowledge of Jesus, they are fools because while they may not have seen him in the flesh or known Him by that name, even they knew He was coming, would be their KING, and would rule the entire world as it should be.

[Psalms 110:2-7  The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.  3  Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.  4  The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.  5  The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.  6  He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.  7  He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.]

[The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion:] Christ will not only be a KING, but Priest over all, He is God’s Minister to us, our Advocate with the Father, and the Mediator between God and man. [Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.] This was before the Aaron priesthood, in fact, in the time of Abraham, [Genesis 4:18] and it is a representation of Christ’s priesthood before any of this began. [He shall judge among the heathen,] Christ, sitting at the right hand of God, speaks as much terror to His enemies as He does happiness to His sheep. So, while we must endure, we must remember, His mercy endures also. If you have called on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you than, Praise Jesus! Praise Him for taking your place on the cross, praise Him for dying for your sins, praise Him for giving you victory over death, praise Him for saving your soul from hell, praise Him for giving you eternal life, praise Him for cleansing you of all your sin. Praise Him for changing your life, helping you through every struggle you faced, I can go on and on, and so can you, if you stop to remind yourself that you belong to Jesus.

[Psalms 108:3-6,11-13  I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.  4  For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.  5  Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;  6  That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me. 11  Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?  12  Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.  13  Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.]

[Through God we shall do valiantly:] Valiantly; Performed with valor; bravely conducted; heroic. It is God that helps us not only to prosper by our faith, but live in a way that is honorable, and when we live a life that is honorable we are protected by God Himself. Those who belong to Jesus are not perfect, but He loves them and never leaves them no matter what they do. Once we receive Christ, His blood is applied to our soul, removing all sin. Although we may suffer from the repercussions of sin, we will not be cast away. Why? We are saved by grace through our faith in Christ alone. [Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.]

[and that not of yourselves:] You know, when we are dealing with life we do not always make the right decisions, and that alone can bring more distress. Just like Jesus sits at the right hand of God and oversees our well being, the devil has his minions who attempt to destroy our well being. David, when he was distraught, pleaded with God to deal with his enemy, wrote this Psalm asking God to let Satan deal with them. Then, he stops asking God to destroy them, and asks Him to simply deliver him from them.

[Psalms 109:6-13,21-27  Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.  7  When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.  8  Let his days be few; and let another take his office.  9  Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.  10  Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.  11  Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.  12  Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.  13  Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.  21  But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.  22  For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.  23  I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.  24  My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.  25  I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.  26  Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:  27  That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.]

[That they may know that this is thy hand;] There are some things that we must go through that only God can get the credit for getting us through them. As we grow in Christ we do not learn to live a godly life because it is required, we do so because we realize we belong to Him and He belongs to us, and no longer want to just get by in life, we want to prosper and see all the Jesus can do in our lives. Let me tell you, we are not always going to be wholehearted for God, and that is when He brings affliction in our lives that brings us to His mercies once afain. If your life is not where you want it to be right now, give it to God, let Him take the reins and guide you where He wants you to be. It may be hard at first, but you do not need to ask God for much, just His presence, and once You seek that, everything will fall into place, [John 14:1-4  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  4  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.]

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, There is something comforting and quite exciting to know that You belong to me, not by my works of righteousness, but my faith in Your finished work You took me in and made me Yours. Now, we are one, I belong to You and You belong to me, and there is nothing or no one that can change that. Lord, I think about the life I lived before You and although I struggle today, it does not compare to what I struggled with back then, You truly found me out in the desolate pasture, and that alone keeps me faithful, I never want to spend another day wandering, and while I may be afflicted, get chastened, or be subjected to the evils of this world, I know You are with me and will help me endure all of it. Lord, Lead me and guide me, fill me with Your mercy, grace, love, wisdom, joy, peace, and let me humble myself before You, get under Your wing, and let You take me to victory. In Your name, Jesus, I pray, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
