Message: Because Greater Is He That Is In You

Hello My Friend,

There is really nothing like praying to God, and He sending you to Scripture, God led me to these two verses this morning. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” – Jeremiah 29:11. And, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” – Isaiah 1:18. What do they mean? Well, God, is reminding us who are faithful to Him, that although our sins be as scarlet, we are washed in Christ’s blood, and are not white, cleansed by His precious blood. And although we will suffer as a Christian because we stand for the way, the truth, and the life, we must never forget that our Father thinks the world of us, all of this will have an expected end, we just need to trust Him. “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” – II Corinthians 4:15-17.

For all things are for your sakes,” I tell you what, our fire for Christ can go from engulfing flames to a smolder in a matter of minutes. We can feel like we can conquer the world, shouting praises to God, then suddenly one word is spoken and you are in your knees defeated, begging God to forgive you for failing Him. Do you know what this is, rather who this is? Satan, a pastor of mine, calls him, smutty face. The devil hates that we are walking, talking witnesses for Christ. And it is not the every day, worldly Christian that poses the most threat to him, it is the faithful, God fearing, Christ light shinning, feel like you fail Him daily, Christians that do. The Book of John goes into more detail about what happened with Jesus and the disciples prior to His capture, He is conversing with them, letting them know what to expect during and after His passion, He encourages them, but tells them not to be offended by the ones who attack them, for they do it out of conviction.

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” – John 16:1-3,7-9,13-15.

Of sin, because they believe not on me;” The world, and the worldly “Christian”, who justifies themselves in their sin, despise Christ’s faithful because Christ shines though us as the Holy Spirit in us reveals Him to them the second we walk up to them. Let me tell you how quickly a person can go from being cordial to irate toward you simply by the way you present yourself. You do not even have to say the name Jesus, but they know we are one of them. A true Christian brings others to see the sin in themselves, which is why they attack us, as they either reject Christ or reject the Gospel. And if they reject the Gospel, then they not only deny Christ, they deny God, for without Christ, God will have nothing to do with us. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6.

for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; ” You know, unless you were a prophet or priest (someone Holy Spirit filled), God did not speak one on one to people, they could pray, but if they wanted an answer from God they needed to go to someone who was filled with the Holy Spirit, and then they would tell you what God said about it. And it the Holy Spirit filled person sinned, God could have removed His Spirit in an instant, and He did several times. Jesus made it possible for us to be filled with the Holy Spirit permanently, the second we believe in the Gospel, His sinless, death, burial, and resurrection, and receive Him as our Saviour, the Holy Spirit enters our soul. “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” – Acts 2:36-38.

Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ” Repent, meaning turn your thinking away from believing that your works is necessary for salvation. This is not a water baptism, rather, spiritual. Water baptism is not necessary for salvation, that is a public profession of our faith, spiritual baptism happens when we receive Christ as our Saviour, and the Holy Spirit enters our soul. “For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” – Acts 1:5,8.

and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,” If you are saved, then you are a witness of Christ in your town. There comes a point in our Christianity that we do in fact, weep and lament over what Christ did for us. Yes, we are saved by grace through our faith, but often we do not comprehend it until we are faced with deep sorrow. Jesus explains to the disciples that they will weep over His death while the world rejoices, but then their sorrow will turn into joy.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:20-24,33.

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing.” Yes, if we ask anything in Jesus’ name, we will receive it, but we are not speaking to Jesus (the high priest), we are speaking directly to God, and He will answer us. Let me tell you, when I let God guide me in everything, He literally does tell me how to handle it. Just this past week, God, explained to me what a persons fear was, He led me to making the decision of resurrecting my online bakery, even told me what to charge. He even gave me my first paying customer the next day after I decided to do this. He also led me to witness to someone, explain to the kids what it is like in heaven, and how our soul is eternal, I encouraged people, defended people, and all the while I was in pain. You see, how our Father takes care of us when we are faithful to Him. And do not think you have to be perfect, you just need some faith, trust, and to be faithful, that is all He ever asks us for. “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.” – I Timothy 1:15-16.

but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Jesus overcame the world three days later after His death when He arose from the dead therefore, we who believe in and receive Him as our Saviour have the same promise awaiting us, we will overcome the world because we will be with Jesus in His Kingdom forever. Jesus is in us through His blood, God is with Him, therefore we are one, we will overcome the world through our faith. “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” – I John 4:4.

Today’s Prayer: God, I want to thank You for sending Your Son to save me, I am trusting fully in Him for eternal life with You. While I humble myself to You, help me to submit solely to You, with all the joy, peace, and comfort that only comes from Christ who is mine. Lord, just as You are the example that I need to follow, let me be the example for someone else to follow in hopes that they too can find peace and joy in the Saviour. Lead me and guide me, give me Your power, mercy, grace, and strength to endure these trials as I know I overcome the world already. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
