Message: Your Hour Is Not Yet

Hello My Friend,

It is no surprise to the Christian that God’s timing is everything, as I was praying this morning, He reminded me of that very fact. And as I was contemplating life, rather the cycle that I seem to be on that replays itself over and over again, He also reminded me that being on that cycle brought me even closer to Him. Everything is in God’s time and control, all the way down to the very last millisecond. Yes, we hinder God at times as we jump in front of Him to try and speed things up, but He has a plan for each and every one of us, and when our hour is come we will fulfill it in His time. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” – Hebrews 10:35-36.

Cast not away therefore your confidence,” We who are saved all have one thing going for us in common, we are with Jesus and we are confidant that one day all of this will be over, we will be forever with Him and in His Kingdom, and there will be no more suffering, sin, or death to deal with. There was no doubt that when Jesus walked the earth in the flesh He had many believers, both Jews and Gentiles, but He also had many follow Him, trying to tempt Him. During the Feast of Booths Jesus passed through Galilee, avoiding Jerusalem as they were out to capture him there, some men challenged Him to go out and show Himself to the public.

His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.” – John 7:3-8,11-13.

My time is not yet come:” You see, these are the very people, who when Jesus was on the cross questioned why He was just hanging there if He is the Son of God. They do not nor will ever believe in who He is, and they will taunt anyone who believes in Him as well. Right now, this is the devil’s playground, and he is in all his glory, but one day it will all be over, Jesus will return, and when He does, His time will come to judge the whole earth. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” – Matthew 24:36-37.

People who do not like to follow Jesus, sure like to throw Scripture around, particularly about not judging them. These people who were against Him made their own judgment of Him, were quick to throw the law in His face, as though He broke it. As Jesus hears what they were all saying about him He goes into a temple, starts teaching, but when the murmurers got out of hand, He began defending Himself, He upbraids them for passing false judgment on Him, reminding them that they are the ones actually guilty of breaking laws.

Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?” – John 7:22-31.

because his hour was not yet come. The, I will call them reprobates, knew the Scriptures, but refused to believe that Jesus is the Christ, right there in front of them. However, it was not the time for him to be captured so they dared not touch Him. This is all a good reminder that Jesus died on the cross to redeem man from the law completely. Praise God! We are no longer subject to the Law of Moses, we cannot lose our salvation for breaking one law, with that being said, you also cannot pick and choose what law is right or wrong, if you are guilty of breaking one than you are guilty of breaking them all. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.” – James 2:10-11.

So many people are quick to judge you because of your faith, they will literally try to destroy you if you do not side with the majority. We have every right to make the right judgment call when it comes to our well being, just like we cannot force them to believe, they cannot force us not to, but believe it or not, the world tries everything to get us to go against our faith to serve them, and the thing is, they do not even follow their own rules themselves. After Jesus left they did what everyone else would do, started talking about Him, anyone who even attempted to say they believed in Him was reprimanded.

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?” – John 7:37-42,45-47.

Are ye also deceived?” It is funny how everyone gets along until you disagree with them. Do you see what they do here, to get people to question the Bible? They certainly know what the Scriptures say, but twist things a little bit to make people question its authenticity. If they bothered to pay attention they would have known that Jesus, is of David, and was born in Bethlehem, but their hatred toward Jesus blinded them from accepting the truth. Now, that Jesus (who is the Word of God in the flesh) was teaching the Law, the Jews had a hard time believing that He was the one that all the Scriptures talked about, in fact, they did not want to hear anyone even agreeing with Him. Jesus confronts the Pharisees who questioned His accountability.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.” – John 8:12-20.

for his hour was not yet come.Everything is in God’s time, there are things that we must go through until we get to fulfill the purpose that God has us here for. And while we do, in fact throw some wrenches into the gears sometimes and hinder God from doing some things in our lives, mainly keeping ourselves from blessings by not living in His will, the final hour will always come. It is those who think they are above the Law that have a problem with Jesus. Let me tell you, no one is perfect, no one can say they have not done anything wrong in their lives, and those who do refuse to admit that and have a much bigger problems to deal with, and Jesus will call them out for who they truly are, and by the way, who they were accusing Him of being, of the devil. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” – John 8:23-24,44.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” – John 7:37-38.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, Thank You again for the sacrifice You made for me, I do not have eternal life based on any thing that I have done, but my faith and trust in what You have done alone. Lord, lead me and guide me, give me Your power, wisdom, guidance, mercy, and grace to go wherever You lead me, help me to live not by man’s word, but Yours, for I know You are the way, the truth, and the life. While people may come and go in my life, You will never leave nor forsake me no matter how many times I mess up. Thank You for Your patience, grace, mercy and never ending love. In pray in Your name Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
