Message: The Wicked Will Fall

Hello My Friend,

As I was praying this morning I began thinking of how Satan must be laughing at God’s people as so many of us have been struggling since this pandemic. Then God reminded me, [Proverbs 24:16  For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.] Faithful, saved, born again Christians may fail God, but they confess their sin, get back up, and move forward in the strength of Christ. That cannot be said for false Christians and unbelievers, who are all going to end up where Satan is going. Oh, and Satan may be laughing right now, but God will get the last laugh as He throws him into the lake of fire, [Revelation 20:10,14-15  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.]

Nations and people can turn away from God all they want, but that does not change the fact that He is still in control of everything, and sooner or later, all will know that He is the LORD. During the time the Judah fell and was overtaken by Babylon, Tyre was very prosperous, they prided themselves on being untouchable and gloated over the fact that they became powerful as a result of Judah’s fall. After God gave the judgment of Tyre, He singles out the prince because he refused to acknowledge Him, and down right proclaimed himself as God.

[Ezekiel 28:2,6-9,25  Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:  6  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;  7  Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.  8  They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.  9  Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee. 25  Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.]

[though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:] This prince is a picture of none other than Satan himself, who is also transformed into the angel of light, set out to deceive people into believing he is Christ, [II Corinthians 11:13-15  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  14  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  15  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.]

[whose end shall be according to their works.] You see, they may be laughing right now, but they will face a judgment much worse than we will ever get. God had been known to use Egypt over the centuries, even to protect His only begotten Son. At one time, it was a great and powerful nation, in fact, many of the things we enjoy today were invented by the Egyptians. During the time of the fall of Jerusalem, the Pharaoh proudly and wickedly boasted of having established his kingdom so strongly, that even God was not powerful enough to take it from Him. God sent Ezekiel to Egypt to foretell the end of Egypt as a great and powerful nation.

[Ezekiel 29:3-6,9,13-14  Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.  4  But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.  5  And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.  6  And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. 9  And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it. 13  Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:  14  And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.]

[and they shall be there a base kingdom.] Do you see what God did here? This means that while they would be restored as a nation, they would never regain their status as a powerful nation. It is probable that Hophra was the Pharaoh during this time, who is represented as the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers to deceive and devour its prey. Hophra had given much time and labor into irrigation works in Lower Egypt to bring a canal from the Nile to the Red Sea, and he, like the kings of Tyrus and Babylon thought of himself as the creator of his own power. He believed he firmly established his kingdom, and that there was no god that could cast him out of it. Egypt never seemed to grasp the concept that God was, and still is always in control. God continues to reveal the judgment placed upon them.

[Ezekiel 30:2-4,18-19,21  Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!  3  For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.  4  And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down. 18  At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.  19  Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD. 21  Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.]

[I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt;] God did not literally break his arm, he broke the strength of them as a powerful nation. Egypt had been a cruel oppressor of God’s people and a broken rod to them, now, God by breaking his arm as He judges him for both. The king of Egypt shall be in fear for his life when he finds himself in danger of the king of Babylon’s forces. He shall groan before him with the groaning, but will not find mercy. This is also a picture of the day that God will break the arm of Satan, destroy him once and for all, and all who follow him, [Revelation 21:7-8  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.]

Today’s Prayer: God, You love us so much, You want to see us prosper and give us everything we want and need, all You ask in return is that we worship only You. Lord, with all the temptations of the world, and the devil right there trying yo manipulate us, it can be difficult to stand tall. However, we can do all things by Your power. Lord, Lead us and guide us, give us Your power to keep Your first, and to first and far most, acknowledge You in all that You bless us with so we no do forget that it is You who gives us everything we have. Put Your hedge of protection around us to shield us from all evil. Should we fall, keep getting us back up and moving forward as we await the day You come for us. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
