Message: All Souls Are Mine

Hello My Friend,

As I was praying and thanking God for saving my soul, through my faith in His Son and the great sacrifice He made to save not only it, but my body from hell I started to think about the value of a soul. It is so valuable that Jesus Christ Himself gave His sinless life to save it. It is so valuable that Satan himself seeks to destroy it. We cannot see our soul no more than we can see the Holy Spirit or the wind that blows in the air, but we can sure feel it. A dead soul truly is desolate and dry, seeking water to quench its thirst, but Christ, with His life giving water, gives everlasting living water to all that believe in Him that our soul would never thirst again.

[John 4:10-11,13-14  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.  11  The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 13  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:  14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.]

It is human nature, whether we know Christ as our Saviour or not, to wonder how God, as merciful as He is, can send a soul that has led a moral and decent life to hell when one that has led an immoral life is sent to heaven. To understand this, we have to see each and every soul through the eyes of God. As we continue reading the Book of Ezekiel, God points straight out that all souls belong to Him.

[Ezekiel 18:4-6,8-9  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.  5  But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,  6  And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,  8  He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,  9  Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.]

[and do that which is lawful and right,] Did you notice what God sees as lawful and right? Keep yourself clean, stay away from idols, do not commit adultery, do not oppress anyone, stay out of trouble, use righteous judgment, pay your debts, and help others. Let me tell you, God has not changed His stance on what is sin, and whether we are saved or not, all sin leads to death. Now, for those who are saved, we do not face hell, but our flesh is certainly going to die prematurely of any unrepentant sin. God goes on to tell us that we are each responsible for our own sin, and every soul that repents of their sin shall live.

[Ezekiel 18:10,13-14,18  If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,  13  Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.  14  Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father’s sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like, 18  As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.]

[even he shall die in his iniquity.] What God is saying here is that we are each held accountable for our own sin, we cannot die for the sins of our parents nor can they die for ours. Now, if are living in sin and were taught to go against God, and they have not repented, then we will be held accountable for both our sin and leading them astray. This is why so many people are in hell right now due to false religion, they believed the lies and followed it rather than the truth of Christ, [Acts 17:30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:]

All of those religions that led then to believe the lies will be held accountable for what they have done. And you ask yourself why? Well, God has the answer, and it sounds an awful lot like what I had just said, [Ezekiel 18:20-23  The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.  21  But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  22  All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.  23  Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?]

[Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?] Remember, God does not want to see any soul in hell. He takes no pleasure at all in seeing even the most vilest sinner being cast into hell. Why? It is His soul, He created it, and it is the most valuable of all His creation. And hell was never meant for the souls of man, only for Satan and his minions, but that was changed when sin brought the curse of death to the soul, [Romans 5:12,14-15,21  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  15  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 21  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.]

In fact, even one soul is so valuable to God that He gave His own life in the flesh of His Son, even if it meant that He could only save one. He will only save those who believe in His death, burial, and resurrection. There is nothing new in the New Testament that was not already written in the Old, and if you think that God is unfair in how He deals with a soul, well, He has an answer for that as well.

[Ezekiel 18:26-30  When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.  27  Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.  28  Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  29  Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?  30  Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.]

[The way of the Lord is not equal.] This sounds like what Paul was saying, [Romans 3:3-6  For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?  4  God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.  5  But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)  6  God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?].

It does not matter who we are, or what family we are born into, the same rule applies. If we want our soul to be saved from judgment, we must come to Him on our own, first, admitting that we are have sinned, second, believe that Jesus died a sinless death to save our soul, and third, confess that we need Jesus to save us, [Romans 3:10,23-25  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;]

There it is, righteousness itself does not save one soul, which is why God sent Jesus in that His righteousness can save all who receive Him as their Saviour. They are the ones who will be justified when they stand before God because it is not our own righteousness that saves us, it is His that does. We have to see past our flesh and look at the state of a soul that does not have Christ, simply put, it is dead. It is God who gives the breath of life to our flesh, and that is the only thing keeping us alive until God takes that breath away. The grief we feel about loved ones who have passed, and are in hell ought to be the drive we need to tell all we know and see about Jesus while they are still have their breath in them. This is what God is telling the Jews to do, to lament over their captivity, and the ones who fled to Egypt and died. God compares the kingdom of Judah as a lioness.

[Ezekiel 19:2,10-14  And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions. 10  Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.  11  And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.  12  But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.  13  And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.  14  And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.]

[in a dry and thirsty ground.] Jerusalem was a vine, flourishing and fruitful, as compared to the soul that was dead and given the water of life. This vine, rather the body of the soul, is now destroyed due to its sinful life, and although, it has not been plucked up by the roots, its body gets devoured by the fuel of sin within itself. The true Vine, Jesus Christ, is the center of the saved soul, and He will never pluck it from His hands, and will one day rule as King over every saved soul, [John 10:28-29  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.]

[Ezekiel 20:1-5  And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.  2  Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,  3  Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.  4  Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:  5  And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;]

[I will not be enquired of by you.] God will not listen to one fool who questions Him, let alone seeks answers from Him about the way He handles their soul. Now, it is one thing to ask God questions, we all do, and He welcomes that, but to question and criticize His ways, that is blasphemy, and He will not stand for it. God goes on to tell us how He actually withdraws Himself from those who despise Him, and yet want to be saved.

[Ezekiel 20:22-26  Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.  23  I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;  24  Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.  25  Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;  26  And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.]

[Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good] Wow! That is an eye opener. Did it ever occur to you that God is the one who gives them up to their reprobate minds? All of these faithless fools that we see today, devouring each other, and even allowing so many babies to be aborted, it is all a part of God’s plan to let them die among themselves, [Romans 1:28-32  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  31  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  32  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.]

God does not kill anyone and neither does Satan, although his is a murderer and the key source as to why we are born with dead souls from birth. However, Christ broke that curse with His own life, He has the keys to death and hell, and He is the only one who can give life to a dead soul who comes to Him willingly, [Revelation 1:18  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Ezekiel 20:38  And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for Your gift of salvation, I know that there is nothing more I can do apart from receiving Your Son that will save me from my sin. His finished work on the cross is all that is necessary for me to be able to stand righteous before You. But Lord, I want the rest of my time on earth to be one of glory, one that not only pleases You, but brings others to You as well. Lord, Lead me and guide me, give me Your power to discern right from wrong in Your eyes, the knowledge to understand You Word, and wisdom to know how to handle situations, obstacles, and difficulties. Pour out Your mercy and grace upon me so that I may grow and be a faithful and honorable witness of Your Son in me. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
