Study: Praise God For Outcasts

Hello My Friend,

I was thinking about this passage as I was reading today’s chapters, [Isaiah 40:28-31  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.  29  He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.]

How awesome is God that with all of His splendor, might, and power cares for the wellbeing and soul of every believer? I imagine that it grieves God to see each soul that rejects Him cast into hell, but I think what breaks His heart more are those who could have gotten saved, and say they had so much faith in Him, and yet not enough to believe the truth that they must come to Him through His Son, [John 11:25-26  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  26  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?]

[and they shall walk, and not faint.] If you ever got up to start walking and all of a sudden felt faint, you can understand how scary that feels. I think we can get that way spiritually and mentally as well. Life can definitely weaken our mind, body, and spirit, sometimes to the point that it is literally God who gets out of bed. We get discouraged, brokenhearted, spirit broken, then all of a sudden we get that ray of hope that God is in control, has a plan, and will see us through. That is why we can praise Him while we still have our being.

[Psalms 146:2-5,8-10  While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.  3  Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.  4  His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.  5  Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: 8  The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:  9  The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.  10  The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.]

[nor in the son of man,] Remember, there are sons of God, these are the ones who accept Christ, and then there are sons of man, these are the ones who reject Christ. Man meaning mankind, so this includes men and women, Jesus actually refers to the sons of man as sons of Satan. Anyone who has any doubts about God and His Word are considered sons of Satan because they are rebellious, proud, and seeking anyway they can find to manipulate His Word. Did you know that God considers His own as outcasts?

[Psalms 147:2-5,10-11,15-18  The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.  3  He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.  4  He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.  5  Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. 10  He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.  11  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. 15  He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.  16  He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.  17  He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?  18  He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.]

[he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.] [Outcast; to push, thrust, chase, overflow, totter, sore, drive away or out.] In case you have not noticed, those who have faith in Christ are pushed out of society, and with all good reason. We are not one of them, we belong to Christ, we are the sons and daughters of God, and also joint heirs with Christ, [Romans 8:16-17  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.]

[and melteth them:] There is only one thing in this world so powerful that it rips through the heart of man, makes them not only melt with fear, but enrages them to the point that they become savage beasts, and it even stops Satan in his tracks, and that is the Word of God. Why do you think there are so many trying to change it? Why do you think there are so many who attack you for speaking it? The true Word of God, not the watered down versions that the sons of man have created, is the most powerful weapon on this earth, [Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.]

[he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.] Do you see why it is not by our works that we are saved? Salvation have never been about works, it has always been about our faith in God. Those who believe in God with all their being will believe in Christ and in all His being. They will not have one doubt that He alone saves their soul from hell, and they will not change the Gospel to include works. Those who fully accept God’s Word as it is and Christ with all their being are His people, His children, and His delight. While He does want us to make some effort as faith without works are dead, He also wants us completely trust in Him, and as we work together He will take care of the rest.

[Psalms 149:4-9  For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.  5  Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.  6  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;  7  To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;  8  To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;  9  To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.]

[For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people:] Let me tell you, we have no one to prove, but God. He knows the way we take, what we have done, and what the truth is. And even if we have messed up, we have God’s amazing mercy and grace to help us get out of it when we come to Him for help. How many times did David mess up, or Moses, or even Abraham? God takes pleasure in our faithfulness to Him. WE ARE NOT DEFINED BY OUR PAST, WE ARE DEFINED BY WHAT WE DO TODAY IN OUR FAITH, [1 John 2:1-2  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  2  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.]

Do you understand that the second you receive Christ as your Saviour you received the promise of eternal life? That means, by your faith in Christ alone you have eternal life, not of your own works, but your faith alone in God’s Son. And nothing you do will ever change that, so, praise Him for all that He is.

[Psalms 148:7-14  Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:  8  Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:  9  Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:  10  Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:  11  Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:  12  Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:  13  Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.  14  He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.]

[stormy wind fulfilling his word:] This reminds me of what the disciples said when Jesus calmed the storm on the sea, [Matthew 8:25-27  And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.  26  And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.  27  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!]

[for his name alone is excellent;] No other name supersedes the name of Christ period, [Acts 4:10-12  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  11  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.]

Think about it, we believe in the Son of the only living God, who came to earth in the form of man, through a virgin. Christ, is perfect, sinless, and sacrificed His own life to give all who believe in Him eternal life and salvation from hell, no strings attached, so, of course, we are going to be outcasts to a world who thinks themselves a god. God adores His loves His people, and takes care of every one of them, even if we are not always perfect in our faith, He is always perfect in every way, therefore praise Him for His faithfulness, not to mention His mercy and grace. Let me tell you, God has more mercy than man any day, if we left our salvation in the hands of anyone else, but Christ we would all be in hell because man sees what they want to see as sin.

[Psalms 150:1-6  Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.  2  Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.  3  Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.  4  Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.  5  Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.  6  Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.]

[Praise God in his sanctuary:] I tell you what, there is no greater comfort and encouragement than when we go to church and spend time not only with God, but our likeminded brothers and sisters. Singing, praising, and worshiping God together lifts up our spirit, not to mention mind and body as we realize that we are not alone. Everyone is struggling with something, but when we worship and praise God together, the power of God we mount up with wings as eagles, [Psalms 134:1-3  A Song of degrees. Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.  2  Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.  3  The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.]

[which by night stand in the house of the LORD.] How awesome is it, that day or night, you can reach out to God, and He is right there for you? We do not have to wait for the church doors to open we can have church anywhere, in a park, a parking lot, a bedroom, wherever God’s people gather there is indeed great power because that is when Jesus is in the midst of them, [Matthew 18:19-20  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.]

Today’s Prayer: God, I know it is not healthy trying to face my challenges on my own, all it does is make me weary and weak. You know what is best for me, You are preparing great things for me while I endure these challenges, and You are expecting me to praise You through them all. I will praise You God, for all that You are, for mending my broken heart piece by piece, for giving me the strength in my weakness, for giving me rest in Your grace, for Your mercy, and for Your love for me. Lord, lead me and guide me, fill me with Your power, strength, and grace to endure every challenge and see those blessings unfold as I put my complete trust and faith in You, to mount up with wings as eagles, and not stumble or faint. I pray this in Your name, Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
