Study: Fight The Good Fight

Hello My Friend,

Last night, when I was teaching I had all girls in my class, and they are open books, and I tell you what, kids see and say everything when they are comfortable with someone. It is a reminder that one; we are always being watched, two; think before you speak, and three; fight the good fight.

[2 Timothy 4:2-8  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  5  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.  6  For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  7  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  8  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.]

I tell you what, if that passage does not describe what we are seeing today, then there are a lot of blind people out there. You know, people are not really blind, they just take a blind eye in hopes that it would just work itself out. Well, I can tell you from experience that taking a blind eye to what we know is right in front of our face only makes things worse. And as we continue in the reading of Proverbs, this is where we find that it is Solomon speaking and those little tidbits of truth are spoken.

[Proverbs 10:1-6  The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.  2  Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.  3  The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.  4  He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.  5  He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.  6  Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.]

[but righteousness delivereth from death.] The world thinks of death as an end, but there is no end even for death. When our body gives out, and our soul is released from it it will go to one of two places, heaven or hell, then it will await judgment, which comes when Jesus returns. The righteous, meaning those who are saved, will be reunited with their new immortal bodies, to receive eternal life, [1 Corinthians 15:51-53  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.]

As for the unsaved, they too will reunite with their bodies, only they will face a second death, which eternal death in the lake of fire, [Revelation 20:13-15  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.]

We might have to face some hell on earth, meaning, be put through the fire in life’s trials in order for Jesus to refine us before we get to heaven, but it will be nothing compared to what wicked will face.

[Proverbs 10:24-30  The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.  25  As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.  26  As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.  27  The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.  28  The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.  29  The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.  30  The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.]

[so is the sluggard to them that send him.] Does any of this sound familiar to you? The sluggards are the ones running this country as they sit home collecting their government checks with not a care in the world, but to fulfill every lust of their flesh. Speaking of, I have to place orders for prescriptions for people that cost thousands of dollars a month, which the government pays for, and all for a majority of people who flaunt their sin in all their pride, and have no remorse whatsoever. I tell you what, those who are struggling and actually the ones paying for their treatments are not one bit envious of them, it is quite sad to be honest because they are the ones dying in their shame, [Proverbs 11:23,5-6  When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.  3  The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.  5  The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.  6  The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.]

[The integrity of the upright shall guide them:] We may not be scholars, but those who choose Christ over the world, are wise enough to know that the only pride we have is in the walk that we take with Christ, meaning we have some dignity in our walk. You see, there is the arrogance of pride that always leads to self destruction, and then there is the honor of pride that shows that we have respect toward our bodies as well as others, [Proverbs 11:10-13  When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.  11  By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.  12  He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.  13  A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.]

[and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.] Does this sound familiar to you? “Black Lives Matter”, “LGBTQ” (and whatever acronym they add to it each year), “Me Too”, “My Body, My Choice”, these are all movements that are led under pure wickedness. The shouting, the riots, the hatred toward those of another color, race, faith, or belief, has nothing to do with grief or even vengeance over someone who was treated inhumanely, it is over the fact that someone wicked finally got caught up with. Somewhere over the years society has lost their morals, there is no such thing as integrity anymore, it is all about feeding the lusts of the flesh as fast as they can, and without having a conscious to convict them of their actions. Well, God knows what He is doing, He is protecting His own while He is allowing the wicked to suffer in their own evils.

[Proverbs 11:19-21,26-29  As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.  20  They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.  21  Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. 26  He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.  27  He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.  28  He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.  29  He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.]

[He that withholdeth corn,] Does this sound familiar too? And it is not corn that our wicked government is withholding from us that is going to lead to their own fall, it is oil. They want to rid the earth of fuel, and cows to “save the people and planet” and yet are the very cause of its destruction by not providing the very things we need for survival. God will take care of His own, I have no doubt about that.

[Proverbs 12:1-3,7-10  Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.  2  A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.  3  A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. 7  The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.  8  A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.  9  He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.  10  A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.]

[but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.] The government thinks they are doing society a favor by taking away our God given rights and freedoms. The truth is this, people have become such sluggards that they do not value themselves anymore and that is why they are taking a blind eye to what is really going on. In fact, they are not even taught the value of hard work, instead, that it does not matter how hard you work, you still receive the same paycheck as the one who does nothing at all. It is time for saved, born again Christians to go out into society and preach the Gospel because what they really need is Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can show us that the value of the way, the truth, and the life, [John 14:6,12,20-21  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.  21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.]

Let me tell you, Christians bow to no one, but God! Watching police, mayors, governors, cowering to thugs, kneeling to them, this is not honor or respect, this is a disgrace. It is making our country look weak and only inviting the enemy to attack, but mark God’s words, it is only for a moment.

[Proverbs 12:19-22,26-28  The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.  20  Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.  21  There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.  22  Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. 26  The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.  27  The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.  28  In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.]

[There shall no evil happen to the just:] The evil spoken of here is the wicked evil that the devil himself is the cause of. While we are all subject to the natural evils brought on by the curse that sin brought and was passed down to us, such as sickness and death, we are not subject to hell or the second death. Jesus said it this way, [Matthew 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.]

Those who are saved have nothing to fear because they are saved from hell and the second death, which is the worse thing that could ever happen to us, [Revelation 2:10-11  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for making it simple to be saved from hell and the second death, we just need to believe in and trust Your Son as our Saviour. Lord, give me Your power, wisdom, and guidance to seek Your righteousness in every step that I take. I know that as long as I do things Your way I will be blessed, will not suffer as much, and that my labor is not in vain. Keep me in Your Word to learn and understand how to use the knowledge You gave me to not only please You, but bring others to You as well. We do not know when Jesus will return, but we do know that evil is taking over, and Satan is the root of it all. Yes, You allowed all this for the purpose of getting Your people to take a stand and show Christ through all this, and to open the eyes of the blind. We cannot live in fear, cower, or bow down to evil, we must be brave, and take a stand for Christ. Put Your hedge of protection around us, touch and heal our minds, bodies, and spirits, and give us the grace to withstand what You will not remove. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
