Message: Designed By God

Hello My Friend,

Happy New Year! As I was praying this morning, I made a vow to God that I was going to rededicate my life to Him, and be more accountable for the things I do and or set our to do. I also said to Him that no matter what I think is what is right for me, it is His will that will be done, and I cannot go against that. We really cannot fathom just how much God does love us, His plans for us are well thought out, and all the way from the time we were conceived. We will never understand why we must face so many hardships, but we can understand that God’s thoughts are not our own, we are made by His design, and for His purpose.

[For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. – Isaiah 55:8-11]

The Book of Genesis is the first book of the Old Testament, it contains fifty chapters, and the time line of these events took place approximately between 4004 BC to 1689 BC. The author of the book is Moses and it was first written to Israel. The purpose of the book was to preserve the historical background of Israel and to give an account for creation, sin, redemption, and God’s first dealings with man. What we are to learn from the book is that God, the Creator of all things, brought us here in His image and gives us every means necessary for us to be accepted of Him, [If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. Genesis 4:7]

The events recorded in Genesis cover a period of two thousand three hundred and fifteen years (Ussher). As we begin the reading of Genesis, God gives an account to the six days that it took Him to create the heavens and earth, and His resting on the seventh day. Notice that on Day One, the very first thing that God did when He created the earth was that He moved His Spirit upon it. [In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. – Genesis 1:1-5]

[created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form,] A lot of people, including some Bible scholars, believe that this was the gap that took billions of years for life to form upon the earth, but the key to understanding that this is literally six twenty-four hour days is right here, [And God called the light Day,] The capital D in Day as well as the N in Night signifies that this was one complete day as Jesus Himself said that there are twelve hours in the day, [Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. – John 11:9-10]

The light of this world is Christ, [As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. – John 9:5], those who do not see Christ will always question God, they will stumble time and time again in the darkness in their own heart. And now, we come to Day Two, [And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. – Genesis 1:6-8]

[Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters,] Notice that the earth is actually suspended in water, well, the entire universe is. [Firmament; The region of the air; the sky or heavens; the great arch or expanse over our heads,] The firmament is the region or atmosphere of the sky or heavens and is the arch or gulf that separates heaven from hell, and how those in hell are able to see those in heaven, but not able to get to it, [And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. – Luke 16:26]

Do you see how God designed everything for a specific purpose? Although He does not mention hell specifically, He does mention the firmament under the waters, and the earth and universe itself is right in the middle of them. And now, we come to Day Three, [And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. – Genesis 1:9-11]

[Let the earth bring forth grass,] Before God would put man and beast upon the earth, He made sure that it was sustainable for them. And now we come to Day Four, which is how we know that there are three hundred and sixty-five days out of the year and why we have one additional day every four years, [And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. – Genesis 1:14-16]

[and let them be for signs, and for seasons,] Can you just imagine the years it took for the real scientist to figure all this out? And all this was before the flood, so, there was no rain or snow. True science does not question life itself, it observes and documents it, then finds a way to sustain life, with the help of God, of course, [My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. – Proverbs 2:1,5-6]

Everything good, everything profitable, and everything sustainable is given to us from God. Yes, the wicked distort God’s creation and everything that He stands for, but true believers respect it. And now we come to Day Five, [And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. – Genesis 1:20-22]

[which the waters brought forth abundantly,] God just stirred up the seas, rivers, lakes, and streams and there came flooding out of them were whales, crabs, fish, turtles, birds, and every other creature that you could think of that lived in the waters or had feathers on them. Did you ever realize that while lakes, rivers, and streams can dry up, the seas are never ending? There is actually more water on earth than there is land, in fact, it is about seventy-one percent water. We too, as far as our flesh goes, are made up of about sixty percent water, which I believe is actually more than that, more like seventy-five from what I remember being taught in school. Water is what sustains life, we can survive days without food, but will only survive a few without water, and that also includes our soul as well, [Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. – John 3:5-6]

And now we come to Day Six, [And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. – Genesis 1:24-27, 31]

[So God created man in his own image,] God’s most precious creation of all is man, meaning mankind, and He created us in His very own image. That means that every emotion we have God has, He laughs and He cries, He mourns and He rejoices, He loves and He hates, we are exactly who God made us to be, [My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! – Psalms 139:15-17]

When God created everything, He created it of its own kind, that means that people are people, dogs are dogs, apples are apples, and there are not interchangeable, a dog cannot become a person, an apple cannot become an orange, no matter how mad science gets. Now, two different kinds of apples can be combined to produce a different kind of apple, but nothing of its own kind can be combined with another to produce anything other than of its own kind. Trust me, they have tried it and failed and still try it and fail every time because while true science may, by the power God, be able to create devices that can help sustain life, it cannot create life or anything else out of what God has made of its own kind. And now we come to Day Seven, God rested.

[Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. – Genesis 2:1-6]

[and all the host of them.] The host of heavens are the sun, moon, and stars, often so called in Scripture, and also the angels, [Luke 2:13]. This may be considered as a proof of their creation within the above space of time, probably on the first day. We can speculate as to what God did prior to His creating the earth since He has always been, but if He wanted us to know that, then He would have told us in His book. It is not for us to question the unknown, rather understand that all of this, including the angels, were given to us by God so that we can know and worship Him without question. Remember, God created us for His purpose, naturally, He would use them to protect and correct us. That is how precious we are to Him, He wanted to create a life for us that was eternal right here on earth. He made sure that even before He put man on the earth that they would be able to live forever. Just read the care that God had when He formed man, and breathed life into them.

[And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. – Genesis 2:7-9,15-17]

[and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;] I love this, it tears me up every time I read it. I imagine God, with His hands, forming us exactly the way He wanted us, then putting His mouth to our nose and breathing life into it. From the hair on our head to the little bitty pineal gland in our brains, we are designed with such love and care, [For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. – Psalms 139:13-14]

[for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.] Here was the warning, right from the beginning. Many will question why God put something on the earth that was forbidden, but think about it. We need boundaries, we cannot have everything we want, whenever we want. Why not? Not everything is good for us. I am not supposed to be eating anything made with gluten in it, when I do it causes a great deal of distress on my body, and yet I do it, and suffer needless suffering time and time again. There is also another reason why, we would not depend on God, and that is what He wants us to do. Now, He does not want us to be whiny crybabies, who will not lift one finger to help themselves, but He does want us to depend on Him for the things we need and trust Him to provide us with them when do our part, [Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. – James 2:18,26]

Obviously Adam did not know what death meant, he was a baby at this point, and only had God to teach him things. When we first come to the knowledge of God, we are like everyone else, eager for His attention, a bit scared because we are taught that if we disobey Him we will die, but until we truly understand what that death is we are ignorant to it. God did not just leave Adam there to do nothing, He gave him a job, name all the creatures, and when he did, he realized that all of these creatures had mates, but him.

[And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. – Genesis 2:20-24]

[And Adam gave names to all cattle,] Adam’s name mean, red earth. In other words, Adam was named from what God had created him from, and that was the red clay or dust. In fact, everything that He created was made from the earth that He created first. [made he a woman,] There was a study done recently, as if there really needed to be one, on how many people believe that there are only two genders. While seventy-three percent of the people do believe that there are only two genders, what is more astounding is that thirteen percent could not answer that question, stating that they did not know if it were true. Really? This goes way beyond a man dressing up like a woman. God designed man and woman for the purpose of sustaining life, without procreation, life would cease to exist. And this is how corrupt science has become, they can make clones, or harvest, freeze, and implant embryos, or remove parts of a persons body to hid what they are made to be all they want, without a man and a woman, there is no life, [For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. – 1 Corinthians 11:8-9,12]

Let Us Pray: God, Thank You for another year that passed, a new one just beginning, for the hope of eternal life and giving us Your truths to live by. Without You all is dark and void, but with You we can see the Light and a great year ahead. Lord, watch over us, guide us, and help us walk forward in Your Light throughout 2022. Give us peace, comfort, and hope for a great, blessed, and prosperous year. Remind us how fortunate we are as this world grows more evil by the day, and never let us forget that without You there is no life. I pray this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
