Message: God Given Path

Hello My Friend,

I have this thermal coffee cup where I discovered that the silver rim comes off, I pulled it off to clean it and saw the most disgusting mold pressed down into the crack between. It actually gave me a sense of what Jesus said about the cup and platter looking clean on the outside, but it is not on the inside, [Matthew 23:24-26  Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.  25  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.  26  Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.]

The closer longer we walk with Jesus the more we discover just how filthy we are, and truly want to remove those things from our lives that defile us. While God does not expect us to be completely sin free, He does expect us to work at it through Him, [Colossians 3:5,7,12,14  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:  6  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  14  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.]

The elect of God are the true saved, born again Christians, the faithful, who not only live their lives as God leads them, they influence and encourage others in the Word of God as they walk with Him, [Proverbs 16:2-7  All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.  3  Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.  4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.  5  Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.  6  By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.  7  When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.]

[but the LORD weigheth the spirits.] I had to learn the hard way that mans ways are always clean in their own eyes, they are set in their ways, and they will not budge. The second we are conceived, God breathes the breath or spirit of life into us. When we are born, we are actually born with the knowledge of God inside of us. As we grow and are taught by those who raise and influence us, our spirit changes either toward the good, the evil, or something in between. God always knows what we become, even those who are pure evil, yet He never denies anyone the opportunity to get saved, [Romans 10:10-13  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.]

[he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.] Jesus has an incredible way of conforming us into someone who walks like Him, talks like Him, thinks like Him, corrects like Him, and even loves like Him. And there is a reason why true Christians go from mere laymen to high ranking positions in secular jobs in such a short amount of time, their Jesus is with them every step of the way as He directs them.

[Proverbs 16:17-20,25,27,30  The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.  18  Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  19  Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.  20  He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. 25  There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.  27  An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. 31  The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.]

[The highway of the upright is to depart from evil:] The second we get saved we are to move straight ahead in the newness of Christ, and leave the world behind us. We are born again, new creatures, God does not expect us to become like nuns, He expects us to seek His will for our lives, and follow that, [Colossians 3:9-12  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.  12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;]

[if it be found in the way of righteousness.] The elect are supposed to mature in their walk with Christ, not remain like babies. As I said earlier, there are the good, evil, and the ones in between. The ones in between are the ones who perhaps are saved, have some morals in them, content to live the way they live, and will not budge to change no matter what anyone or God Himself has to say. Again, they are foolish saved Christians, and as I said yesterday because they are an endangerment to themselves and everyone they get around.

[Proverbs 17:3,9-13  The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts. 9  He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.  10  A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.  11  An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.  12  Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly.  13  Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.]

[but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.] Okay, it is one thing to do something not knowing it is sin, that is how we grow in our walk with Christ, it is another to keep going back to it. There is a reason why our walk with Christ is a strait and narrow path, and why we are to never go back the same way we came in, [Matthew 9:16-17  No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.  17  Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.]

[than an hundred stripes into a fool.] What is the saying?, “You can’t beat a dead horse?” This is exactly why God just lets some people be the fools that they are. They are too stubborn and willful to listen and submit, to even their Almighty Father Himself. Oh, they want Him to save them, and thank God that our salvation is not dependent upon obeying every word or we would all be in hell, but they want best of both worlds. The problem with that is that eventually their foolishness is going to catch up to them.

[Proverbs 18:1-3,10,12  Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.  2  A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.  3  When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach. 10  The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.   12  Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.]

[having separated himself,] We are the elect, the ones who understood that our own righteousness cannot get us to heaven. The ones who admitted we are sinners and understood that the judgment for sin is hell. The ones who believe that Jesus died a sinless death on the cross for us to free us from that judgment, and that He was buried, and arose three days later so that we too can be raised when He returns. The ones who confessed that Jesus alone has saved us. We are to be separated from the world, and need to be living our lives in a way that brings honor and glory to God, not shame.

[1 Peter 2:9-12  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:  10  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.  11  Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;  12  Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.]

[and with ignominy reproach.] [Ignominy; Public disgrace; shame; reproach; dishonor; infamy.] You want to be a fool? Then it will be to your own disgrace. God is so merciful that He is willing to save every soul, and again, we can thank Him that we are not saved by our obedience to His every Word, but by His grace alone through out faith in Christ because we would all be in hell. However, if you are going to be a fool and continue to live in a way that not only disgraces your own life, but His name as well, then it will be to your own shame. God will not be mocked, He is faithful, repentant, forgiving, merciful, and longsuffering, but even He tires of those who continuously go back to the filth, they will become much worse than they were, and they will suffer, [Romans 2:7-10  To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:  8  But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,  9  Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;  10  But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Proverbs 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for Your amazing grace to save a sinner like me the second I received Your Son as my Saviour. You have a perfect path for each and everyone of us, whether we are here to love You or be an example of what happens when wickedness has hardened our hearts toward You. It is Your path, and only You have the power to change it through our faith in You. If we want things to change in our lives, we must follow Your path, Your way, and that begins by accepting Your Sons innocent death, burial, and resurrection as our only means of salvation, and walking with Him daily. Lord, You are our strong tower, lead us and guide us, cover us in Your mercies and grace, and the courage and wisdom to walk the strait and narrow path and not the one that leads to shame and public disgrace. Let us be the Godly examples we need be, to seek Your help at all times, and not overwhelm ourselves with so many things that we get off the path. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
