Message: The Faithful Saved Sinner

Hello My Friend,

As always, reading the Proverbs has my mind in twenty different directions, but there is something on my heart right now that has me rejoicing more than it has in a long time and it relates to this verse. [Psalms 30:5  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.]

I have had a heavy heart for quite some time, and it weighed me down so much that I believe it was part of why my health has been struggling. This morning I woke up wide awake, and did something that I believe was in God’s perfect timing. I told someone that my faith in God was more important than anything else. At that instant that weight was lifted and I felt a joy that I have not felt in a long time, I literally felt the joy that God had for me in saying that and reminded me of something Jesus said, [John 16:12-14  I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.  13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  14  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.]

Sometimes when we are going through things God does not reveal a reason why at that time. Those of course are the times when we pray a little more, actually draw a little closer to Jesus. We literally see the hand of God, learn more of His mercies and grace, and come to grips more with the fact that we really are just sinners saved by grace, and just how longsuffering and patient He is toward us as we struggle to find our way. You see, there is a difference between the faithful saved sinner and the foolish saved sinner. The faithful saved sinner learns and grows in their walk with Christ, their soul rejoices when it follows God’s will, but the foolish saved sinner only becomes more foolish as they continually seek a way out on their own.

[Proverbs 13:2-6  A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.  3  He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.  4  The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.  5  A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.  6  Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.]

[but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.] We are all sinners, the foolish who deny that fact have bigger problems as their pride will lead to their own destruction. As for the faithful, we may be saved by grace, but the truth is, we cannot get saved and keep living in sin. God may allow us the just to fall, but He requires them to get back up, meaning repent, move forward, and seeking His help to remove the sin permanently. If they do not turn away from their sin, it will be to their own destruction as well. I have seen it right before my eyes, while they will not end up in hell, they will die before their time for the fact they are an endanger to themselves and those around them, [1 Corinthians 15:56-58  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.]

It is a steadfast, unmovable, always abounding work of God that not only keeps us from sin, but helps us overcome sin. And the work of God is not only in the Church, God uses us to minister to people everywhere we go. Just this past Saturday I was speaking with one of the customers and she told me about the cancer that she overcame and how she got pneumonia after getting the Covid vaccine and is now overcoming that. Without even saying the name of Jesus she knew that I was a Christian and when I told her that I would pray for her, I could hear the joy in her voice. You see, we are all looking for that hope that we will overcome every pain, and one day we never have to feel pain again. Our faith in Christ will be our victory! Amen! That is another story for those who have no hope because they refuse to come to Christ.

[Proverbs 13:12-18  Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.  13  Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.  14  The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.  15  Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.  16  Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.  17  A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.  18  Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.]

[but a faithful ambassador is health.] When we have no hope it really does make our heart sick, and so sick that it takes a toll on our physical health. However, that hope we have in Christ truly is a fountain of life as He is the fountain of life. Faithful saved sinners are literally ambassadors for Christ, who happens to not only be our Great Physician, He is also the one who gives us life beyond the grave, [2 Corinthians 5:20-21  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.  21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.]

Do you see that? Christ, who knew no sin was made to be sin for us. God did that so that we could be saved and reconciled with God forever through our faith in His sinless death, burial, and resurrection. Do you think that God is pleased by the foolish saved sinners? Of course, He rejoiced when they bowed down and received His Son as their Saviour, but He is not pleased with their behavior one bit, and evil will continue to follow them until they repent or God brings them home because they are an endangerment.

[Proverbs 13:21-25  Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.  22  A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.  23  Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.  24  He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.  25  The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.]

[and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.] This reminds me of the parable of the talents that Jesus spoke, [Matthew 25:22-26,28-29  He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.  23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.  24  Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:  25  And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.  26  His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:  28  Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.  29  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.]

There is not one person who believes in God that does not get the opportunity to know who Jesus is and accept Him as their Saviour. I imagine that they are given several opportunities as He does not want one soul to end up in hell. Religion does not save you, you can serve God all you want, but unless you know Christ as your Saviour, He does not know you. And talk about labor done in vain, if you are willing to put all your work into a religion that is leading you straight to hell, then you are a fool, and when you see Jesus He will not only show you all the chances you had to get saved, He will also deny you, and all that hard work would have been for nothing.

[Proverbs 14:12-18  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.  13  Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.  14  The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.  15  The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.  16  A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.  17  He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.  18  The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.]

[but the prudent man looketh well to his going.] [Prudent; Cautious; circumspect; practically wise; careful of the consequences of enterprises, measures or actions; cautious not to act when the end is of doubtful.] For the faithful saved sinner being prudent keeps us from backsliding, and if we do we are quick to repent and get back in the will of God when they have suffered enough. As for the foolish saved sinner as well as the foolish who never get saved, their being prudent will lead to their own destruction. While the foolish saved sinner will not lose their salvation backsliding, they will suffer a great deal until they repent or God brings them home, again because they are an endangerment to themselves and others around them. As for the foolish who never act and to get saved, that will be the second death of them, [Revelation 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.]

There is a second death for the fools who refuse to accept Christ as their Saviour. Albeit, pride, ignorance, fear, or trusting in a religion or our own thinking, they all will receive a second death, which is also known as eternal death. We are all appointed once to die, that is the first death, unless Jesus returns in our lifetime. The second death death will come when every unsaved soul will stand before Jesus at the Judgment. Besides the flash before their eyes of all the times they had the opportunity to get saved, will be His judgment of eternal death. And by the way, those of us who are saved are required to tell those who are not saved how they can be, we are witnesses that are capable of leading the unsaved to be delivered from the second death.

[Proverbs 14:25-27,32-33  A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.  26  In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.  27  The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.  32  The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.  33  Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.]

[but the righteous hath hope in his death.] This is the one thing that both the faithful saved and the foolish saved sinner can agree on, when they die the first death they will not fear the second death because they will be in the presence of Jesus, [Titus 2:11-14  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  14  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.]

And there it is all right there in one passage as to why we all saved sinners are to live as sinless as they can, and repent when they cannot. Being obedient to God’s will for our lives is not about keeping our salvation, that was paid for and given to us by grace through our faith in Christ, it is about not taking our precious gift for granted. The difference between the faithful saved sinner and the foolish who does nothing or is ignorant their sin, is that they are not in the Word of God nor do they care to live in it, other than their getting saved. The faithful saved sinner on the other hand, seeks the Word of God and not only learns and follows it, even if it takes their lifetime to do it, they rejoice in it.

[Proverbs 15:14-18,23-24  The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.  15  All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.  16  Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.  17  Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.  18  A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. 23  A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!  24  The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.]

[but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.] Let me tell you, all it takes is to face death for you to truly understand what Jesus saved you from for understand just how slow God is to anger. We are at the mercies and grace of God every single breath that we take. If God was not slow to anger He would have destroyed the earth with the flood. As much as we fear what is coming to our world, especially with all the anger taking place right now and all the wicked destroying each other, I still believe that God has given us some time yet before He destroys it. It is time for all the foolish saved sinners to repent, because Jesus will return as thief. And it is time for all of us to be strong and of good courage, to step up and proclaim our faith, and let no one take away our joy and hope, and let them know who our hope is in, [1 Peter 3:12-15  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.  13  And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?  14  But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;  15  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Proverbs 14:26-27  In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.  27  The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. Proverbs 15:11  Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?]

Today’s Prayer: God, You have not given every saved born again sinner the power of fear, but the power of our faith. We are saved by Your grace through our faith in what Your Son, Jesus Christ has done to save our souls from eternal death. Thank You for being slow to anger, and giving us the opportunity to know the truth and accept Him once as for all as our Saviour. Although we fall, and although we backslide, we are Yours and nothing we ever do will take our salvation away. However, You do expect more from us after we get saved, You expect us to be faithful, repentant, and a witness, The only way we can be any of those things is through Your power, strength, mercy, and grace as we read and study Your Word and learn Your will for our lives. Lord, lead us and guide us, grow us and strengthen our faith, let us be bold in our faith and ready to give them an answer for the hope that inside of us. I ask these things in Your name Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
