Message: Prayers of The Sinners

Hello My Friend,

Did you ever notice how powerful you feel after you have spent time talking to God? Even if all you say is, “God” or “Jesus”, over and over again? You see, God already knows what we have need of, He knows what is in our heart. All you need to do is say His name, and you feel this huge weight lift off your body, and truly believe that He heard everything just speaking His name. So, what happens when we fail God? Does He stop hearing our prayers? Are they less powerful? Oh, but no, they are actually more powerful. When we feel we are not worthy, that is when we get His attention even more, [Luke 18:11-14  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  12  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.  13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.  14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.]

There really is nothing more powerful than the prayers of the humble. Believe it or not, we fail God every day, even on a good day we come short. God knows this, and that is why He gave us His Word. We do not have to feel like every bad thing that we do will send us to hell, like I did growing up, we just need to believe what His Word tells us, that He is merciful to us sinners when we come to Him with repentance and confessing that we need the LORD to save us. This is nothing new, salvation really has never been about works, it has always been about being faithful to God, and coming to Him with repentance and for reconciliation from the sin that defiles our body. When God gave His Law, He also included that there were animals that they were allowed to eat, which were clean, and then there were some that they were not allowed to eat, or they would be defiles them.

[Leviticus 11:2-8  Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.  3  Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.  4  Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.  5  And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.  6  And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.  7  And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.  8  Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.]

[they are unclean to you.] Some of these things are kind of obvious, I mean, would you eat camel meat? Other things were not, like pigs? Well, since God made every creature good, it was not necessarily the pig itself that defiled them if they ate it, it was the fact that other people worshiped the pig. It was a matter of separating them from anything that would give them the temptation to sin. Even if it was something that they were allowed to eat, if it was defiled, even by contaminated water, it was not allowed.

[Leviticus 11:33-38  And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it. 34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.  35  And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.  36  Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.  37  And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.  38  But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.]

[whatsoever is in it shall be unclean;] While God did give the okay that we can eat pork, we still need to separate ourselves from anything that would tempt us to sin, it is unclean to us, [Romans 14:19-23  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.  20  For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.  21  It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.  22  Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.  23  And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.]

Through our faith in Christ, we are clean, that means we are to be different than the world, we are to be seen by the world as one of those Jesus freaks. Why? So that we can be seen as different, then others can see Jesus through us and get saved, [Leviticus 11:43-47  Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.  44  For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  45  For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.  46  This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:  47  To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.]

[To make a difference between the unclean and the clean,] In this sad state of time people either despise Jesus or have no idea who He is at all, we need to let them see that there is true hope beyond all this mess. Now, from becoming unclean by the touching or eating certain animals, to becoming unclean by defiling the body itself, God comes to the laws in which they must take care of their body. Since we are all born in the womb of a woman filled with water and blood, God starts with the cleansing or purification of a woman after childbirth.

[Leviticus 12:2-5,7  Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.  3  And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.  4  And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.  5  But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days. 7  Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.]

[and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood.] Why does the woman have to go twice as long to be cleanse when she has a girl? Her infirmity. Infirmity; An unsound or unhealthy state of the body; weakness; feebleness. A woman who just had a baby would be weak and unclean as she would be recovering and menstruating, this did not mean that she sinned when she conceived, this goes all the way back to Eve, she sinned first. God put an enmity between her seed and His, meaning we are all conceived and born into sin (except for Jesus) and need to be cleansed. When Mary had Jesus she accomplished the days of purification herself, and was so poor she could only afford to bring two pigeons or turtledoves, [Luke 2:22-24  And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;  23  (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)  24  And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.]

Our soul will never be unclean in the eyes of God because He looks at us through His Son, who is in us. As for the rest of us, we really do need Jesus to keep us from defiling ourselves. Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease that effects and controls the entire body, it starts out as a small white spot then slowly eats through a persons muscle, causing the nervous system to shut down as well as hair loss and even loss of limbs. There was no cure for leprosy, if someone contracted it it really took a miracle from God for them to be cured. God gave specific instructions on how to handle those who appear to have leprosy, so much so that it covered the entire chapter.

[Leviticus 13:2-3,51,54-55  When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:  3  And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean. 51  And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day: if the plague be spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of skin; the plague is a fretting leprosy; it is unclean. 54  Then the priest shall command that they wash the thing wherein the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days more:  55  And the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.]

[thou shalt burn it in the fire;] Once we are saved, nothing we do could ever defile our soul ever again. Our body on the other hand can cause a great deal of suffering on our lives until it kills us if we do not remove them from our lives. There is not one sin committed that God has not seen, neither is there one that God cannot remove from us through prayer. Through God, our prayers can save our soul, move mountains, give life to the dead, heal the sick, forgive our enemies, and then can break us free from every sin that holds us bondage. The key to seeing Him answer those prayers is both faith and works. We cannot see God change our lives if we only have faith and never apply what we learn through that faith, [James 2:18-20,26  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.  20  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Leviticus 12:8  And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to walk on this earth and show us the way to You. It is only through Him that we have forgiveness and hope of eternal life when we confess we are sinners and ask Him to save us from our sin. Now, as one of Yours, my soul is clean through Your blood, and there is nothing that I could ever do to defile it. My body is another thing, it can suffer if I have sin in my life, and just like leprosy, it will destroy it if I do not remove it. Lord, all that I am is Yours, and since You are my temple, I want my life to be clean, untouched by the things that defile it. Lead me and guide me, show me how You want me to live, teach me to be obedient to all Your commands, keep me from exposing myself to sin, help me to remain separated from the world, and use me to make a difference to others as you day by day sanctify me from the elements of sin that defile my body and spirit daily. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
